Looks like Jared is up to his old ways again. Jared has never held a decent job always had mommy and daddy pay for it all. He sleeps with men for money. Trash trash trash. Con artist just like his father. Guess the apple didn't fall to far from the tree. Good job!!
This has been going on for years - fake charitable appeals (IRS should have look). His Son Jared is similar, but more of a sex-for-sale kinda guy (less traceable evidence) but, Ryan Carter 8z Real Estate is just the latest victim. Of course, he has his own bad track record.
Rusty has many fake charities - Teens helping Kids and many non-profit auctions. He takes a 40% fee. He's not an honorable person. IRS should get him. He steals many thousands from his phony "spa Services" schools. Ask the last few persons he fired. It's a scam. Lonestar bank should be ashamed.
This guy has no role in our business at OZ. He doesn't affect our design. He was hired as an office assistant. Sure, two Principals were involved, but who cares? His time outside the office is his. If it advances his career, fine. But, like everywhere has said online he's not a designer or architect. He is a personal assistant.
I work at OZ. We now all now the full story. Jared Brechot didn't Apply for the job at our offices, he applied outside our offices. That's why he was referred for a job, never applied for a job, and was never vetted. We just learned he worked for Havenly for a year and that wasn't in his Resume. Done if us have made calls and sent emails. We couldn't find any verification for jobs on his Resume.
What has he been doing to make $? We think it's obvious now.

Not sure how clients can trust OZ. I'm looking for a new firm. I'm not alone.
There is a group of us in Denver following this story. Jared Brechot was hired by OZ Atchitecture because of a sexual relationship with a person at the firm. This is typical OZ Architecture hiring practices.

Reports about OZ Architects forthcoming. There is an internal investigation, but OZ has a long record of hiring friendly assistants. Jared Brechot is qualified because he is friendly.
Some of the current employees at OZ know who and how this all happened and are beginning to speak up, but fear retribution.
I hired a General Contractor for a remodel on a 2-bedroom condominium. The Contractor was recommended by someone I trust. After we reviewed design objectives, the Contractor suggested we hire Jared Brechot to complete some revit files on the design specs I had created. We met with Jared Brechot Designs and he agreed to supply a revit model for the condominium. About a week later we received some very simple CAD drawings that only included the first floor. Those drawings were used by the Contractor to order materials, including some steel beams and columns. The drawings were wrong in many instances. The 22' steel beams were too short by 6" in length and could not be used. This cost the Contractor $8,000. Jared corrected those drawings and they were still off, but our structural engineer corrected them by making a site visit. Another week later Jared delivered some drawings of the electrical plan and bathrooms. These drawings were inaccurate, too. Plumbing mistakes required an additional $5,000 in costs to the project. The location of electrical lighting was a mess.
We never received a revit file, which we were told would allow us to see the condominium in 3-d. The drawings were poorly done, but later corrected by our structural engineer. These mistakes delayed the project for weeks. We also ordered a piece of marble from one of Jared's friends and gave him the dimensions and a picture of how it should be fabricated for hanging. We received it a week later and it was done exactly opposite of the drawings, upside down - a waste of another $1,200. Jared decided that was "a better way to present the stone" or something like that. He didn't follow direction. When we tried to speak to Jared he quit the project and walked out. Eventually the Contractor quit because of the many discprepancies with Jared's work product and overall frustration. As of January (according to our lawyer) Jared was no longer afilliated with the Contractor. We are going to sue the Contractor because it was his recommendation, even though I'm sure the Contractor lost a lot of money over the careless drawings.
This whole experience with Jared cost us more than $25,000. He didn't know what he was doing and didn't deliver what he promised. When things went bad, I asked for references or a portfolio and he couldn't furnish one. I have since looked at his website jaredbrechot.com and there is no portfolio there, either. The Contractor refunded the amount we paid Jared, but the damage was much more.
If you want to hire a Designer ask for their portfolio or a few references.
Oz set this up. Jared is very generous to new clients. Meets at hotels, usually. Very old school business practice he learned from his father. It's alwys about some commission - earned or not.
I work at OZ. It's a great firm. Brechot and his relationships with older men was a big mistake by the firm and two Principals (you know who you are) and Marc Lubline should be ashamed for not checking this guy out. Even Havenly had a bad experience.
This has disrupted the firm. I have two clients that have brought it up as being "stupid." I think it hurts the firm to put looks before talent. I don't care if a Principal is having an affair, keep it out of the office, the work is more important.
We retained this young man for $1200 to complete some drawings and model for a school project. we saw some early drawings that looked they were from another school. I don't think he's an architect. He never finished the drawings or returned our calls. We have emailed him several times, but had to hire a new architect.
