This ad came up and I fell for it. No where on the website that I could see does it explain that there is a 14 day trial. AND the trial period begins from the time of the order, NOT when you receive the product.

Then on the 14th day, so you don't have time to send it back, they hit your back account for an outrageous amount of money.

I have tried to find a "location" for this company and have not been able to locate one because I want to file a claim with the Better Business Bureau.

Like I said, & I should know better... Free is NEVER Free. Always be suspicious, it's probably a scam. Well I fell for it, my vanity got the better of me. They promised to get rid of wrinkles, take away years from my face. Now what 60 year old woman doesn't pray for this everything she applies her moisturizer. They said 30 day free sample. But (the fine print here) you have to cancel within 14 days or you get billed $84.75 & $89.75. I didn't even get it in 14 days to try. I will be talking to my bank tomorrow to see what I have to do to file Internet fraud charges.

Beware - JAANU Skin Care and JULO Eye Creme offer trial of the product for 30 days for $4.95.

What that actually means is you will receive what appears to be acceptable size bottle and jar of the promised items - but - days later you will find the $4.95 trial fee has turned into $174.50 deduction from your bank account for the 30-day supply. The $4.95 charge is for shipping only.

When contacted the rep may tell you the company is so glad you tried their "amazing product and people worldwide love it...", unfortunately, your trial/refund period has ended. But, if meeting certain conditions, you can receive a refund of most of your money - 40% - oh, and there will be a restocking fee of $14.95 as well.

The rep I spoke with said he would need to check with his supervisor as to what else they could offer while I waited on the line. Not on hold, just on the line. I could hear them discussing what to do and how best to handle the situation. The "supervisor" told him to tell me I could expect to see a full refund in 3-5 days depending on how quickly my bank processed the transaction. He also offered a refund confirmation number. We'll see what happens.

I do plan to return the unopened boxes of product to the company and if I do not have a full refund in 7 business days I will dial JAANU Skin Care and JULO Eye Creme at 800 930-7853 and start over. Only this time it will be following this word of warning to all women and the general public accompanied by a strongly worded email to the Federal Trade Commission.

If you have had an experience close to mine after falling for deceptive advertising by JAANU Skin Care and JULO Eye Creme and want your money back, call 800 930-7853 -- and don't budge until you get it.

Insist on a full refund and inform the rep you plan to notify the FTC regarding their business practices - then do it.

This company is a total ripoff. Misleading ad for a 30 day trial of eye care and skin care for FREE. Not free......buyer beware. I ordered my "FREE" trial which was not free. I had to pay $4.95 for shipping but thought what the heck. I ordered on February 7th and this morning February 21st there are two debits from my checking account. $84.75 and $89.75. Are you kidding me!!! I am 57 years old and have paid for skin cream with Estee Lauder, Clinique, and other top brands but NEVER this amount. My first call I talked to a snotty girl that probably was all of 18 years old. She was having no part of refunding my money and eventually hung up on me. I found another phone number. 888-444-1007 and spoke to a more mature person. Supposedly their ad states free 30 day trial and must cancel within 15 days or they screw you. The two people I spoke with kept saying 14 days. I said today is the 14th day. Refund my money or I'll take it up with my bank. The further I read it's actually 15 days to cancel. So, needless to say they are refunding my money. The product itself is AWFUL!!!. It's drying out my skin, a few red dots from irritation and making my eyes burn and skin is turning red. Horrible deal all the way around.

Originally I decided that $4.95 for shipping a free trial of this product was a good trade-off; so I could see for myself if the product's claims were as good as seen on video.

Upon authorizing $4.95 for shipping I recieved a notification that I was also charged for some sort of shipping insurance and $35 for some eye cream. These items were NOT in my cart!!

I called to have those charges reversed.

I tried the product for a week. Then I threw it in the trash because it is CRAP!

Not too long later I recieved another shipment of the product. The invoice had no financial information what-so-ever; no account number, no price, NOT EVEN MY NAME!

It did however have a phone number on it. I called the number and demanded a refund. After I was told there was no evedence of cancelation. I told the gal on the phone that I never authorized it AND I looked for those sneaky phrases that would trick a person into un-wittingly authorize recurring payments.

I was told there was nothing to be done to get a refund. I had to threaten to call the police, and pretend to cry to get the woman to finally give me a refund. She said she gave me a refund and that I would see the deposit in my account in 3-5 days. Her name is (supposedly) Venesa; employee#43614.

I collected a reference number and a transaction ID number, but I will not believe it till I see the refund on my bank statement.

I not only NEVER authorize this company to send more product, I went out of my way and checked every nook and cranny to make sure they wouldn't. There were NO disclosures stating that they would charge me again the next month! AND for all of you reading this, if Venesa wasn't lying to me, you can get a refund. Don't take NO for an answer. (She didn't even send me to a manager.)

This company, Jaanu Skin Care and Julo Eye Cream false advertised the selling of theyr product. They also falsely represented their product only a trial offer.

They offered a 14 day trial of their product to you by paying the shipping only! When you go to order your trial product, they have it set-up so you have to order the eye cream also.

So now you have 2 shipping charges and they have your credit card number. Now there is no mention any where in this info that your credit card will be charged an additional amount of about $200.00!

I sent them an e-mail stating that I wanted this cancelled an no more shipments or charges. Never heard from them. Today I received another shipment of this product with another charge to my credit card for the same amount!

I am on a fixed income and cannot afford the cost of this product!

After checking (I thought carefully) to make sure that I wasn't signing up for a membership, I ordered Jaanu Age Defying skin serum and Renew Eye Cream.

Found two charges on my bank statement ( one for 89.75 and another for 84.75). When I called the number, they said that since I didnt call and cancel within 14 days to cancel that the only thing that they could do is cancel any further orders but could not refund those two charges. By the way I haven't received any product since the trial product.

When I argued and stated that I was going to start calling to report them until I found the right person, he hung up on me.

Since I used my debit card,I'm going to try and get the bank to change my account number because others on line have said that they continued to be charged even though Jaanu had supposedly canceled their memberships.

The company offers a "free trial" on a face serum. A small bottle (0.50 Fl oz on the bottle, but only half full) was sent - but I was charged for shipping. After missing the 14 day cancellation, I fully expected to receive a mother bottle at full price. Instead I see 2 charges for $89.75 on my bank statement and receive 1 bottle the same size as the trial. When I call to cancel the agent (Michelle) informs me that their "trial" means that you must cancel in 14 days or pay $89.75 for the trial product which would be free otherwise . Ridiculous! Not stated anywhere on the site.

For my wife's 60th birthday, i saw an online ad that said marie osmond endorsed a special, anti-aging skin cream. The offer was for a promotional "trial size" for just $4.95 to cover shipping/handling. A complementary eye cream was also mentioned as a separate order. There was no mention of joining any "product trial" or any continuing or recurriung order that was visible I am very leery of offers that continue unless you "opt-out" in a week, 14 days, month etc. It is too easy to forget!).

When i went to checkout, the site automatically added the 2nd Eye-cream) product for an additional $4.95 although i do not recall hitting that button but, silly me, i allowed it - $4.95 seemed minimal and the 2 were advertized as working together. The products were delivered ok to my po box where i get all our mail. My wife tried them and said they were ok but nothing "special". Fortunately, i put this on a credit card, not a debit card!!

Imagine my surprise when, a month later, i received a new box of skin cream from the same santa anna ca address. I did not open it as i suspected a mistake. However, on checking my latest credit card charges, i was shocked to discover 2 Two) new charges one for $89.75 and the other for $85.75, both made 3 weeks after my initial $9.90 order. I never received any advance notice that i would be charged for any recurring/continuing orders of these products and certainly nothing anywhere that indicated such a high price. I was given no chance to decline continuing with this order; it was just shipped.

Thank goodness i consulted and saw others had also been "taken in" by what i now believe to be a fraudulent, hidden, "join a trial" offer, where one is placed on a continuing order with no advance notice, at a ridiculously high price. As this was a credit card charge at least i had some protection because the company had not yet paid the seller.

Based on what i read at ripoff.com, i phoned the company and was very, very firm in demanding Polite but not taking "no" for an answer) that i receive a full refund and promising to return the product but not paying any "restocking fee". It took 10 minutes and 4 consultations The phone rep. Put me on hold 4 times to consult her superiors) before i received a promise of a full refund within 3 to 5 business days. That was today - 27 nov 2017. I have until dec. 7 before my credit card bill must be paid, so, next week, i will re-check my master card account and if there is no refund, i will contest the charges formally.

For anyone in a similar circumstance, it took 3 refusals to accept a 35% refund, a 50% refund or a 75% refund before i was offered the 100% refund. The last time i did mention the federal trade commission Where one can report fraudulent business practices) and that seemed to do the trick to get me the 100% refund promise. I will report this to them if the charges are not reversed. Do not believe it when they tell you that since you gave your 3 digit "code" on the reverse of your credit card that that equals an "electronic signature" agreeing to all their hidden charges etc. I laughed at that Politely) and since i have a high credit score and long-time (15 years) relationship with my master card company, i knew they would side with me over such a company if "push comes to shove". Even without that i think a credit card company will back you.

So my advice is: 1) always use a credit Not debit) card for online purchases 2) always check your statement 1 month or so after making any kind of "trial" purchase 3) do not hesitate to phone the company (800 # is on the credit card statement) and be very polite but very, very firm that you did not order this knowingly A continuing charge) and you want a 100% refund applied to your credit card. If you are lucky, and persistent, i think you will get the 100% refund; then refuse the package If you receive one) or return to sender. If you opened it you may have to pay postage. Finally, follow up a week later with your credit card company to be sure they got the refund.

My 90 year old aunt ordered the free samples. And then without my knowing about it starting receiving more boxes and charges! When I realized that this was happening I called the company to complain. Explaining that she is senile and didn't realize what she had committed to. They responded by saying tha t all they can do is stop any more charges and shipments. Then when I wanted to return unopened packages and get a refund, there answer was we can send you a complementary bottle of our product!! REALLY I don't want your products in the first place and going to send me more!! The manager hung up on me as well very rude and not very compassionate!

These associated companies use charge card against consumers wishes, and when consumer calls will not refund charges even when consumer has not received product. I received unwanted eye creme (Julio) and refused shipment thru post office and company says they do not do refunds. I had charges on credit card, even before any product received still would not credit my account. Any person actively seeking cost of products will not find cost on website, even with extraordinary effort. This is a scam, and company needs to be shut down. Multiple telephone numbers, locations, and names make this a difficult scam to shut down. Even the free samples are a scam since my containers were empty, so clearly intent is to get credit info under guise of paying insurance and shipping charges. Endorsements are stolen from other product websites, and claims say Dr. Oz has endorsed this proct: not true. Website changes frequently, as do endorsement so takes sophistication to prosecute.

I am not easily fooled into scams and rip offs. But having advertisements on secure websites with the most popular celebreties presenting them, I didn't think twice.

I called Jaanu to get my 14 day free trial for a small face and eye cream. Less than 14 days later I called them to cancel- I was on the phone for over an hour waiting for a representative. Finally I spoke to someone and cancelled. She promised me that I wont see any charges on my card. I requested an email confirmation. I never received it.

This has been going on since January. It is 6 months later and they are still charging my card. I tried blocking them by calling my credit card company and they couldnt do anything. I have been back and forth on the phone with Jaanu but theyre still charging.

Now I finally cancelled the credit card (I am missing out on a great rewards program) so they cant charge me anymore.

I am writing to you to please beware! And keep away from this company!

  • Jun 12, 2017

Does Not Work

Please discontinue sending me your products that does not do a thing for me. I am returning the products and is totally expecting a refund for the products. The shipment has not been open. .

Also, your third character in the security code is hard to decided if it is a"t" or "I"

.entering a second code

This company Jaanu Skin Care & Julo Eye Cream uses false and deceptive practices in selling their product on-line. They advertize "free Sample" ...they rope you into their eye cream, then they bill your credit card for almost $200. for your monthly subscription! I did not sign up for anything other than a free sample and shipping. I called and complained...told I had a 14 day trail & since I did not call them I was going to be biled monthly for $89. for each product. I fliped & insisted that I was cancelling & did not see anything about "14 days"...must have been in very small print. After threating to report their deception, they credited my account 30% of the almost $200. Better than nothing. The products received where sample size: .05oz. Really??? What a RIPOFF...don't fall for it!

  • May 15, 2017

I tried to get my $89 + back, but they said no because I didn't tell them to cancel in time, which I did'nt see in the add on line! The products I rec'd are NOT doing what they said. I see NO difference in my skin or my eyes!!

  • May 9, 2017

My wife bought two skin care products on-line. Samples (1.5 oz.) were $4.99 and $4.95 respectively. I pay the bills and denoted two charges for these amounts plus addititional charges for $84.75 and $89.75 on our bank statement.

Therefore, I contacted the company and they informed me that the recurring charges were listed in the 'fine print'. My wife does not recall reading any 'fine print', nor any mention or listing of it on the web-site when ordering.

The company initially refused to cancel the order and refund the $84.75 or the $89.75 saying there was nothing they could do.

Well, after spending nearly 30 minutes on the phone and threatening a lawsuit the company representative refunded the $84.75. But I had to call back and talk to a separate person regarding the $89.75 bill. That second company representative refused to reimburse us for our $89.75 but agreed to cancel the ongoing monthly charges of $89.75/month.

This is a scam. We had to cancel our credit cards and get new ones to avoid the possibility of the company billing us every month from now until eternity!

If it's too good to be true, buyer beware.

  • Apr 30, 2017

Got took!

I also have had the same experience as most of you, but I complained a lot and ended up getting a two for one plus the shipping price. I got 2 months worth for the price of one. I still ended getting deceived nowhere was anything about the larger charges, also got the product late and unable to cancel in time. I made several call and said I was coming to turn them in. Very much a scam and I did not see to much of a difference. My vanity took over and I hope this can be stopped!

  • Apr 21, 2017

Do not ever purchase any eye cream or skin care products from this company: Jaanu Skin Care Serum.

They will send you a bottle of skin care serum for $10.00 for a free trial. In very small print, they tell you that you have 14 days to keep the bottle. If you are not satisfied you are to send it back.

If they do not hear from you within 14 days, they LET you keep the bottle for good but will charge you $90 for the bottle. I was gullible enough to purchase the eye cream too for just $5.00 more, and this bottle also ended up costing me $90.

Do not ever purchase anything for free on the internet unless you read the fine print. Then, they charged me a second time since that first purchase was to have lasted me for 30 days, so basically I got ripped off for $360 for 2 bottles of eye cream and eye serum.

This company should be out of busienss for their deceptive practices.

Multi Billion dollar Scam. They pop-up on the internet with various celebrities, mine was Ellen Degeneres with before and after photos. Raving reveiws from the celerities. Free trial offer of very small jar of eye cream and tube of skin cream called Jaanu and Julo eye cream, must be used together. You have 14 days to cancel. I emailed cancelation to "support @ juvarelle.com" 7 days later and was billed 89.75 and 72.04 within a few days after cancelation. Called all of their phone numbers as I got an eye infection and canceled in time and was promised a refund. This Company continued to hit My bank account over and over after promising a full refund. Total scam. I called My bank and put a fraud alert on them. Billing Companies are Slimlyfe and Sunnyvibe. These Scammers need to be stopped immediately...Major Rip-off..I told them the cream gave Me eye infections and I am a disabled mother of an eleven year old. I really needed this.

Misrepresentation of "free trial"!!

Being a 60+ y/o woman, I had the dream of "taking years off my looks" and "erasing wrinkles". I know to many of you, this sounds familiar. I saw the ad for Jaanu Skin Care Serum and Julu Eye Cream, "14-day FREE trial", it said. I thought, "what can I lose, it is a free trial". Man was I duped. The "free" cost $4.95 for "processing" and then that means for each product so another $4.95, then there is a shipping fee. A total of a few cents under 12$ so still not too concerned. The items arrived quickly and I started my "free trial". After 13 days I found the product had made no difference in my skin and felt no better than my usual Wal Mart face cream. Today was day 13 post ordering. Not wanting to miss my 14-day FREE trial end, I phoned and spoke to a nice young man, Ben. He was pleasant and told me that he wanted to offer me 2 options: 1. I could stop my Free trial, but because I was stopping early (1 day) I would be obligated to pay $9.95 early opt-out fee. 2. He could extend my trial period and then when I called to opt-out after the extension it would not cost me anything! I told him I would pay the $9.95 and did not want to extend my trial. He then said it would be $9.95 each product ($19.99). My temperature began to rise a bit! I told him that I lived on a fixed income and was not rich and that since they both would be sent back in the same box, I did not understand why there were 2 charges. He said, "well, if you had have taken the extension you would not have to pay anything." That was the straw that broke this camel's back. I told him that I had read complaints about this company and now believe them to be true. I said that I was a reasonably intelligent woman and the way I see it, an extension would put me at risk of being charged large sums of money because I "failed" to end my 14-day FREE trial timely. He said, "Mam, this line is being recorded"! I let him know that I was aware and intended for whoever hears it to hear all of it. I then said, "your company is placing a financial hardship on me, but, if you can live with that I suppose I will have to." The total they bilked from me was $31.27 not to mention fees to mail back (if I can find an address to mail to). I have read that some were not as fortunate as I.

  • Apr 10, 2017

I bought 2 skin care products from Jaanu under the pretense of a shipping payment only - cost of approx $5. for each item. I got the products with little paperwork, NOTHING about return within 14 days or you will be charged ~$90 for EACH product to your credit card.

The email receipt didn't mention that if I didn't return the unused portion within 14 days I would be assessed a charge.

I called them when I saw the charges pending on my credit card and they were unwilling to give me a complete refund. Initially I was offered a 35% refund, and after further disputing they increased it to 50% refund.... which is still $90.....

I am disputing the charge on my credit card and hope to get a complete refund. I can't get an RMA from the provider -- so I'm leary about returning the product without getting the credit....

  • Apr 1, 2017

On March 13, 2017, I purchased a free trial of Juaanu Skin Care. I did not want the free trial of Julo Eye Cream, but the system automatically entered it on my account. There was no place on the website for me to take the Eye Cream off, so I was stuck ordering both. I should have known then I was being scammed. I received an e-mail with the purchase order for both. Nowhere, did it say I would be receiving additional shipments, if I didn't call and cancel, and I have the e-mails to prove.

On March 31st, I received a notice from my bank that $89.75 and $84.74 had been deducted from my account. I immediately called the company, and was told I signed the agreement that stated if I didn't call in 14 days of receiving the product, I would receive a shipment and be charged. I was also told by a rep that the information regarding the 14 day trial was on my shipping information e-mail, which it was not.

I did not see anywhere in the agreement that this was stated, and when I tried to go back to Yahoo and find the specific news article that led me to the skin care product, I could not find. Yahoo needs to be very careful who there allowing to put on the site.

The prodcut is awful!! It left my skin very dry, so I guess I will be throwing $174.49 down the toilet, which I can't afford to do.

I've asked this company to cancel all shipments and remove my account as of March 31, 2017, and will be going to the bank to change my card, so they can't take out any additional money.

Jaanu / Julo Skin care & eye cream

Ripped off

When I called and tried to cancel I was put on hold for a lengthy period of time. When the lady came back on line she said she couldn't find my information even after I gave them my name , address, product ordered, and the last 4 numbers on my credit card. Before I could say a word she hung up on me. I now have to go through my Credit Card company to get the charges stopped. How in the world can they stay in business doing this to people!!

  • Feb 25, 2017

Jaanu Skin Care and Julo Eye Creme is a rip off. Do not order a sample as you will be charged full price for both even tho you do not order. If you want to return the shipment that they send to you, they will charge you $14.95 each to "restock". A scam! Please do not waste your money.

  • Feb 3, 2017

I fell for this "trial" purchase, BIG MISTAKE, never even tried the product, didn't know that it was a "Trial Period", just thought it was a 14 day supply, but no, after the 14 days they removed almost 100.00 from my checking account, but on the same day, they cancelled my account. So they first get you for the 5.00 to get the 14 day supply (Trial), then they get you for another 100.00 if you don't cancel your membership, never did I sign up for any continued product. I read, re-read and studied this "free product" advertisment for well over an hour, never saw that they would ship additional products. This is a HUGE scam, no real address, no one at the "customer care" center can give out this information. HUGE MISTAKE.

Please everyone DO NOT fall for this. I don't even know if this product works, now I will be receiving another months worth, because I did not call after the "trial period", for the 14 day product, never said trial product.
