International Living Reviews

Won't stop continuous over-billing, won't refund, won't stop email scamming. Avoid ever subscribing. Impossible to get them to quit billing.

This BS advertising company for retirees won't stop billing me, won't refund my money, won't cancel the subscripton, won't stop email scamming.

No matter how many times I email, call, write, their answer is to "look it up on our website and cancel" which they make impossible to do.

They should be taking off the internet. Total scammers.

First of all International Living makes it impossible to cancel.

The largest expense for retiring overseas is health care costs. They fail to highlight tis draconian expense.

Do not do business with this company unless you are not human & can guarantee you will never get ill, get divorced, or any other human condition.

I initially paid $17.00 to see stories of retirement living in other countries. So, there was that charge on my credit card. Then I got hit with a charge for $49.00 for their "Dream Retirement Project"?. When I questioned it, this was the rude reply I got from Pat Goodman, a "customer care" representative. He said Keep in mind" This $49.00 is non refundable & is a small pittance for what you'll receive so we are simply not going to get involved in the hassle or expense involved in processing refunds for people who are never satisfied, no matter how good a deal they get & not everyone gets to join, you should consider yourself lucky we allowed you in."

I had emailed & explained that I was not able to travel & will never be moving across the block, let alone across the world, I did not subscribe voluntarily. If he is their best "customer care" rep, that is pitiful.

Another charge of $39.00 apeared on my cc statement that I did not authorize & they refused to refund it. Previously, before my medical emergency, I had signed up for their "Fast Track conference, a 2 day seminar in Quito, Ecuador. After being told I was not allowed to travel, my husband of 23 years left me for his very young, very married co-worker.

The price for the 2 day "conference was $1,340.00. I emailed the supervisor, Donna & explained my situation & that I would not be attending any seminar or moving out of the U.S. I have doctors reports to prove my medical condition. She was equally hateful & rude & said to me "well, that is a sad story, but we hear sad stories every day, some are "really" sad, but if we refunded money to everyone who can't attend, we wouldn't have anyone there & I would not have a job."

So I have been charged $17.00, $39.00, $49.00 & $1,340.00 & I should be thankful & was reminded these charges are non refundable for any reason.

If you get an email from them, move it to junk as fast as you can & never give them your credit card info or the charges you didn't authorize will never stop. They are basedout of Frederick, MD & need to be investigated.
