Got a call from Insight about a position at a low voltage co. that needed help wiring a middle school.

Showed up at co's office, Mgr let me in and i just waited for him to get things together..He wrote down where job was located and who to contact on site. Company was called Digital Concepts. He never had me fill out any paperwork, such as w-2's ect while there... Got on site and met 1 of their foreman who was a bit slow, and a kid that was 21 who they put over the job as a supervisor, mainly because they didn't have any other workers...He knew a lot less than he thought he knew about how work should be done, such as standards and correct way to be a project manager on a job.

The 1st day when we were pulling wire we actually ran out of wire and couldn't do everything that we should have been able to do...Then they were talking about a couple of managers that used to work there that had under-bid the job and quit the co., so much so, that they were almost paying to do the job. They also said how they couldn't afford to waste any materials or time, as it was costing them. The fact that they had managers bid a job so low and quit the co. tells me that someone did them really wrong and they got payback.

Worked for them for 3 days at 10 hrs a day. During that time I was getting tired of hearing people talk behind your back when you were leaving a room and acting like you knew nothing because you came from a placement agency. I have been doing voice/data/telecom/Low Voltage work and even was a Supervisor for 2 yrs on wireless tower construction sites with 30 yrs experience, compared to their kid with 3 yrs exp.

One of the main bosses from the co. came to site the 2nd day, sat everyone down and chewed them a bit for running out of wire and not using common sense to let someone know ahead of time. The 3rd day they ran out of wire ties and that was a big thing for them. They asked me and another guy from same temp service if we took them home with us...I told them I had some at home if they needed me to bring them there...Now the other temp guy had worked at the ph co. for years and was very smart. Like me, he had done things that they were clueless about, and probably would never do. When going down to the equiptment room to get some materials, i heard the foreman talking to the kid. The kid said the temp guy told him he'd worked outside at the ph co. for years.. The idiot foreman came back with "well, all I can say is he better learn how to work indoors". .Such a bafoon..

I quit after the 3rd day, as I was getting tired of the amount of stupidity at this job...

My last day of work was 7/29/20...I am still trying to get my check for 30 hrs from Insight Global. Was told last week, the 1st week of Sept. that the girl that I had been in contact with, that was supposed to be handling this for me had quit....So now, other people were "supposedly" handling it and working on it for me.

It is now 9/8/20 and I made 3 ph calls and left msgs and sent 2 texts, and 2 e-m's saying that i need some info on my check, now....have heard nothing back. I also, called Labor Board, had to leave msg and waiting for them to call me back. This is not how you do business, very ridiculous..

When hired, Hewlett Packard could not offer me any benefits, because I was working for Insight Global, I had to sign on to a wireless phone plan, which at the end costed me 400 dollars to discontinue, they said it was a one year contract, which lasted 3 weeks, they wanted me to use my own car, some weeks I worked 30 hours, instead of 40, I racked up mileage on my car, Hewlett Packard, did not compensate for gas, nor phone expenses like they said. The girl from Insight Global, Taylor left the company, They collected tons of sensitive information, I had to go for drug testing, 3 weeks of grueling paper work faxing references, Passport, licenses, and everything under the sun. 60 Emails back and forth, for a 3 week job, that ended costing me money. They offered me health benefits for $800.00 a month for me and spouse. I am not sure how companies like this are allowed to operate in the US. I do not know what their hidden agenda was all about ? They need to be regulated in their lies. I turned down a job to work for them. What a scam

The so called female recruiters/account managers are intimately involved with their clients unlawfully in the name of "lunch with manager." They even take you out to places which they say is for gaining trust of the clients. Places like Kings Island and Top Golf are no places for meetings but in fact are recreational places which the twenty something girls working at Insight Global take one on one clients. I hope the truth of these girls come in front of everyone and be careful if your boy friend or husband is working with them as their clients, they will eventually take you for a ride in the name of work and trust. Disgusting !! No work ethics and no fear of God. And they also have unlimited free lunches with their clients and will go beyond their limits to simply gain business. It's work your way up not sleep your way up!!! I have been silent for years now it's time to open up and raise awareness amongst the rest of you.

I am inactively looking for a new position because I am not satisfied where I am at. I am a data analyst at a company that is losing it's workforce's interest and is lacking inspiration. With that said, I am not going to leave for no reason; it would need to be a good fit.

A few words to those looking for a job... do not involve yourself with Insight Global. If a recruiter contacts you and says you look like a great candidate for this position they have and ask you immediately for 2 managerial references and a 5 minute application then they are looking to talk to your managers about their staffing needs. They do not care about what your references have to say about you.

In my case, I was told about a great opportunity at Frontier Airlines but they were concerned about my direct experience with the type of projects I would be doing. Anyway, I was immediately sent an email asking for my "udpdated resume and 2 managerial references ASAP I think you’re a great candidate for this position and I want to get you sent over". This was the first funny feeling I got. Why do they need managerial references ASAP to send over my resume to a client? Ok fine. It's what they need; however I respond saying my current supervisor doesn't know I'm looking and my previous supervisor left on not-so-good terms with the company (which is all true). Instead of supervisors I tell him here are a few professional coworker references (I gave 2 current and one from a previous job).

I get a call and talk to the "Account Manager" about the specific position at which point it was more of a "who are you" and "what tools have you used?" phone call. Ok fine, it's part of the screening process. He asks me to come into the office for an in person interview and that all my future contact about the position will be with the previous guy I spoke with (let's call him "Jordan"). Interview scheduled for 10am Wed.

I get to the office for my interview... and there's no lobby with a receptionist or anything. It's a nice office but there are only a bunch of meeting rooms. Weird. I sit down and a couple well dressed, young "dudes" ask me if I have been helped. I say "no" and that I'm there for an interview with Jordan. They place me in one of the meeting rooms and go retrieve Jordan and his sidekick in training.

Interview is ok as they ask me the "tell me about yourself" question. So I do and they like it and tell me "Ok, I think that's all I need." Oh ok. "Do you know what other tools they use besides SQL?" is one of my questions. Seems like a fair question and there must be other tools. "I'm not sure, I just know they want someone who can do queries and analysis." Again, weird that you don't have details but whatever. They tell me the Account Manager has a meeting with the Hiring Manager in 30 minutes and will discuss ME. Yay!! I leave the office after 20 minutes of an "interview".

They call me back in a couple hours and tell me congratulations they'd like to interview you on Friday at 11 or 11:30. Which one works? Um 11... I guess I'll figure out how to make that work.

Get home, read the email that says it's a PHONE INTERVIEW. He didn't actually tell me that on the phone. Ok fine.

Next day I go into work and my references both tell me they had a LOT of questions. Weird to me considering I was only in the office for 20 minutes. I guess they called my references right after I left. One of my references tells me "yeah, they just called me and said they were in the area and would like to chat". Wait. What? Yeah, IG had someone drive an hour from their office to talk to one of my references? Yep. So my reference goes to talk to this lady (let's call her "Kelsie") out of respect for me and she just wants to know more about what my reference does and who her supervisor is. Heh? I'm not sure how that ended but I think it was anticlimactic. My other reference ended up giving my supervisor's name because they were pestering her and she had no reason to believe they would go behind my back.

I do a little research on the company, find this exact website and start reading reviews. No more than 15 minutes into reading some pretty about some unethical behavior do I receive an email from Jordan. The interview has been cancelled. "I guess there were more candidates and they went went someone else" he tells me. I proceed to tell him how wrong it is for someone to come into my place of work without even mentioning it to me and then ask to speak with my references again. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I had no idea anyone was doing that".

I've been told my supervisor has a meeting with IG next week to discuss his staffing needs.

I'm not worried since our company is so tight on hiring right now but what a bunch of liars.

I received what I believe was a fraudulent job offer from Insight Global LLC, out of Chicago, IL from a Callie Rather.

I double-checked for a Callie at Global and found one name on LinkedIn.com that was for a Callie Johnston out of Raleigh, NC. This was OBVIOUSLY a scam email that the first "fake" Callie Rather sent to me.

Here is the email (below) in it's entirety:
