Ingiegogo raised money for a startup company in China selling camera called a wunder 360. They raised a substantial amount of capital but never shipped the product to anyone according from Wunder 360 own Facebook site. Indiegogo sayers it is not responsible but still raises money with their fantastic review. Seems they keep making commission for the fundraising.

I have backed a iBackPack project on the Indiegogo website in 2015, with the intention of being delivered in the same year.

I have sent many emails to Indiegogo about this issue, and they do not want to take their responibility. They say it's the fault of the project owner and not theirs. And the project owner, Doug Monahan, gives no news about the project, and nothing is moving on. It is a joke.

They once sent an email regarding the fact that there was an issue with the battery, and they had to replace it or whatever, and now, since then, all the backers on the Indiegogo website are pissed off, you just need to check the 3000+ comments on this project page to see what I'm talking about...

Every backer has asked for their money back since we didn't receive anything, and now this product is not even high-teh anymore, it's old school, since many other similar objects have been invented nowadays.

I would like Indiegogo and iBackPack / Doug Monahan to plaid guilty and pay the money back along with damage money for all the stress created over the years.

thanks,

Total ripoff. $373 billed to my credit card Can't even find the supposed alleged "product" "EDESKHUB" on their website. It probably didn't exist except for BS PR.

Will never use this site again to fund any vaporware or vapor product. It's a cesspool of scams. Caveat Emptor! Buyer Beware! Waste of time and money.

The product I received worked differently from the function written on the page and other donors are commenting the same trouble.

I required refund or indiegogo company accusing CAMPAIGNER of it but you did not answer my requirements and simply closed my article.

My several other attempts were also neglected.

This is a bigger problem than the seller's fraud.

They advocate and defend fraud.

Indiegogo is a crowd funding site for innovations and other public interest endeavors. I am warning all who have an interest in crowd funding to avoid this site with a passion. If a backed campaign goes south (as a wearable one in which I invested), they will not help you obtain any information whatsoever. They hide behind a false shield of privacy but there are ways to release information, which they refuse, without violating this policy. The bottom line is they will not help nor will they offer any assistance in resolving matters with campaigns. While you sign that you understand you may lose your investment and they you have all the responsibility with the campaign, Indiegogo won't even provide any assisstance in purusing parties that don't fulfill their obligation. They are like robots and spout the same old corporate BS no matter the question. Their own "Truth & Safety" division doesn't even practice what its name implies (they're like talking to computers without a personality). They don't even practice quality control over campaigns by monitoring whether they abide by Indiegogo's own rules. They don't monitor trending comments left on the campaign's Indiegogo home page to determine if there are issues with the campaign (so they can take affirmative action before it's too late). They don't even notify backers about any issues surrounding a campaign. YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN!! Money down the rabbit hole. They apparently don't even enforce their own rules regarding campaigns, unlike KickStarter. I would definitely avoid doing business with this online company. This is truly the wild, wild west when it comes to investing in projects. You are hung out to dry if anything goes south. Buyer Beware! Put your money in KickStarter (it's cheaper for the same projects and they monitor campaign activities while offering some protection for backers).

Indiegogo flagged a donation made to my charity on generosity. After talking to the donator I was informed that she was emailed with further questions to confirm her identity. She answered all but did not want to disclose her phone number because of solicitation. Because of that indiegogo is still withholding her donation even though her card is charged. After repeated communication with not only me, but the donator Indiegogo identity team still refuses to release the funds and did not automatically refund the donation after 7 days.

I purchased a Furbo dog treat dispenser from this site. Indiegogo quickly took the money out of my paypal account though the product was not available and would not be shipped for months. I tried contacting the campaign owner several times to cancel the order and request a refund. I did not receive a response. I opened a dispute through paypal and Indiegogo is refusing to return the money. So now I have lost $140 and have no product. I will be escalating this case to paypal in hopes that they can step in and refund the money. PLEASE AVOID THIS SITE AT ALL COSTS

I purchased an electric bike on the Internet August 19,2015, I was charged $943.00 on my Visa card. For 8 months I received constant emails with updates and pictures of the bike they said they were building for me. This bike was to be delivered last month. I did not receive it and Unfortunatly they will not contact me. It is to late to file a complaint and get my money back With visa.

These scammers have taken at least $300,000 and counting from the public, with the aid of Indiegogo, in the last three months. The Campaign Owner. The company is supposedly based in LA, but Charge Labs, is not a corporation, LLC, or DBA name and has no address or phone anywhere let alone California. Varun Panjwani, the supposed director, is a fake profile on LinkedIn with zero connections. No Facebook profile with that name or any other name associates themselves with Charge Labs. The campaign doesn’t have an email. The campaign owner is fake. The Images. Photos on the campaign are of Wsken’s magnetic charge cable (see Amazon.com). Artwork on the campaign appears to be lifted from ZNAPS campaign on Kickstarter and the USAMS magnetic cable on Alibaba/Aliexpress. There are no images that show anything we can say is from Zaptips. The images are fake. The Pitch, A New Product? Most of us haven’t heard of this product category, or maybe we purchased the Wsken magnetic cable and found it didn’t deliver enough power. On the other hand, Chinese manufacturers have been selling these for over a year. A quick search on Alibaba or Aliexpress and you’ll find hundreds of listings from a variety of manufacturers. The pitch is a deception. String Along. At the outset the campaign said they would be shipping “almost immediately.” Then they were doing product improvements and would be shipping in November. On Nov 29, almost finished sorting and packing and would ship within the week. 10 days later they claimed they needed stronger magnets - indefinite delay. Now it’s powder coat and into 2016. Updates are not credible and string along backers to suck in more money. Responding to Scam Alerts. The campaign hides scam alert comments rather than responding. It would be trivially easy to prove this campaign is real if it was. A 10 minute cell phone video showing the operation, introducing the staff, showing and demoing preproduction product and the issues. Instead they just hide the comments and suck in more money. Indiegogo facilitates and profits from scam campaigns. They do nothing to verify the operation and do nothing when alerted to scams. They've become little more than a money laundering operation and should be subject to RICO prosecution.
