Hurricane Wind Power Reviews

On august 22, 2017 i placed an order from wtt for 20 batteries and 5 battery contacts. I was provided an invoice for $10,149.75 that needed to be paid in full prior to wtt placing the order. Wtt stated the payment needed to be made into his business account. On 9/5/17 and 9/7/17 i transferred a total of $10,149.75 in wtt wells fargo business account. I can provide the account number if need be. Through a series of emails over the course of @40 days i had not received any purchase order, tracking number or any proof that my order had been processed. On 10/6/17i requested a full refund. Tony of wtt refused. I have now been requesting a full refund for over 30 days. Tony has failed to provide the product, proof of order, proof of tracking number or a refund. This loss if money and product has placed me in an extreme financial hardship as i need them to run my business.

Tony and wind turbine technologies have recieved multiple compliants with the better business bureau, virginia consumer complaints and various websites such as Yscam.

Only by following-up with the bbb was i provided with tracking number for the batteries i ordered 3 months ago.

Let's start with doing a Google map of this (company's) address.. A tacky little house lined with garbage cans.

I bought a "Italian Made???" (built in China) solar panel on Ebay, from Tony i/e Kittey, which looked sooo good, it was impossble to believe it was such a great score for a very low price. 1st mistake.. Upon arrival, I tested it for blocking diodes.

They are something every panel should have to prevent reverse voltages from harming the solar panel... Ad says

"3 servicable diodes", and went on to make all kinds of claims as to it's capabilities, which also proved false.

I sent several requests to "Tony i/e Kittey?" to clarify where the so-called diodes were supposed to be found..

I actully believed I would get an answer to a simple question I already had the answer to. Forgetaboutit..

Tony three fingers, was too busy bringing out the trash to answer a question which would eventually cost me a bunch of money.

I had to purchase another product called a "controller" to replace what was supposed to be there, but wasn't..

Needless to say?? The "controller" ate up most of the voltage I origionally needed in the 1st place.

After more than a little investagation, this fraudulant phony has more compaints on the web than I ever

immagined, and come to find out... He's selling Chinese junk, falsly telling the world they are Italian Made,

and the technical spec's are nothing more than copies of the real item, transposed on to his "so-called" genuine

items... Tony .. who is probably not his real name, is a fraud and a scammer... Beware if it's too good to be true.

Tony Jones of Hurricane Wind Power is nothing more than a mentally ill basement dweller. He openly lies about his products and doesn't cover his warranties.

Before thinking about buying from this company consider that he lies about where his products are made and where they come from. That is about all you need to know. His latest claim about having a truck line is ridiculous considering he operates out of his home.

He is white trash at its finest.

I recently had a reader complain about the performance he was seeing out of his PMA (Permanent Magnet Alternator) wind turbines he purchased from Hurricane Wind Power. He said their units were not producing close to the power that the company claimed and he said he was getting zero support from the company. Zero replies to emails or phone calls.

After doing some research, I realized he wasn't the only one having problems. I was seeing complaints about Hurricane Wind Power everywhere.

I found many people had made videos about Hurricane Wind Power that were not happy at all. One in particular involved someone who had bought one of Tony's turbines. The guy is excited about 3 Amps, but the voltage is only at 14 V, which means he's producing less than 75 Watts, barely enough to power 1 incandescent light bulb? But this amperage is only instantaneous, and it usually hangs around zero. So maybe over the 3 minute video he has produced enough energy to keep a bulb on for about 10 seconds!!!

Hurricane Wind Power tries to impress people with a graph but users don't need to see RPMs, they need to see power output vs. wind speed, or at least a table showing how the RPMs vary vs. wind speed.

Here's the point: Many of these small wind turbine dealers and promoters will try and impress you by showing you graphs and videos of their turbine's voltage, or amperage when the wind gusts, or how fast they spin, or how many chimeras their turbine can power, but there is only one value you need to be concerned with: Power output vs. Wind Speed. You then need to consider what the average wind speed is in your location and only then can you decide if a wind turbine makes sense.

You don't care about instantaneous amperage output when the wind gusts. You care about total power output of the wind turbine. Wind turbines just don't make sense for almost all locations in the U.S. because the average wind speed just isn't high enough. You don't need gusts of wind, you need steady, strong wind to produce a lot of energy from wind turbines. Don't get suckered in by showy YouTube clips.

Hurricane Wind Power of Roanoke, Virginia owned by Anthony 'Tony' Jones is scamming the public through his website, eBay and YouTube.

These products are being sold as made in USA, which is a fraudulent statement.

Wind turbines are claimed to be designed and assembled in USA. These turbines are almost exclusively made in China.

White lightning PMAs are 100% designed and made in China. All other PMAs are made in Mexico, China, and India.

Solar panels are NOT made in Italy, but China.

This guy needs to get a life and start telling the truth. There is a petition to stop this scam. Click the link and stop this guy!
