I went to Hibdon's after having a flat tire because it was the place of purchase. I told them where the tire was located in the vechicle. I sat down to wait and then was asked how to open the tailgate. I found it odd but got up to go to my truck. Upon approaching my truck I can see my handle is up and obviously broken. I ask why would you break the handle and play crazy? I was told by the rude employee "it was humanly impossible to break the handle." Which is a lie. After I continued to escalate I was told well your truck is an '03. I called the roadside assistance guy on speaker to prove it wasn't broken and he told them it was not damaged. The did not fix, replace or pay for repair the damage they caused. Had the nerve to try to cell me 4 tires, lie about my new battery needing to be replaced and said I need my brakes flushed. I knew they were lying so I went to the autozone in the same parking lot that tested my battery and assured me my battery and brake fluid were fine. They should not be able to damage other people's property without paying for it. This is not the first time they were negligent. I had an oil changed their 1 1/2 years ago and all the oil came out of my truck. They had to send a flat bed truck because I threatened to sue if my engine seized and my daughter is an attorney. I will never go back but as of now I can't get in the back of my truck!
This is the third time I believe I have been lied to by this Hibdons. And it's always to sell me something I don't need. Two times before they lied about where a tire was damaged so they could sell me a new one. This week they quoted me a price on a break job $159.99 each axle.
They said they would get done by 4:30 if I brought in by noon. I get there and they wouldn't commit to the 4:30 said they close @ 6:00 And they have to do an inspection on it then call me with the total. So I call @ 3:00 to see if they had it yet and they say it was about to go in.
At 4:00 they call and say the front rotors can't be turned so it will be $585.30 total.
They were charging 149.99 each for two rotors. I called around and this is double what others wanted for new rotors so I told them no thanks and I picked it up.
Next day I took to a local shop and he did brakes on both axles for $249 total. He said it was no problem to turn the rotors.
This will be the last time I bring any vehicle to Hibdons. I have been a customer of this chain for over 30 years. They used to have a great reputation but I see now how they have changed!
Last week I went to Hibdon's in Enid to get an oil change, a new tire on my rear driver's side , and a tire rotation. After sitting there for almost 3 hours and $230 later, they were finally done. I was in a hurry to leave so I could get my son from school. Once I got home, I noticed they didn't give me the same brand of tire that matches my other 3 tires like I requested. The guy assured me he had one in stock and it wouldn't be a problem. This was the first problem! I was really upset about this because I knew I had driven on this brand new tire and they weren't going to switch it out. So I just decided to deal with it. It's my fault I didn't check before I left the shop. Here's where it gets worse. The next day my tire sensor comes on showing I have a low tire on my driver's side front tire. I look at my tire and realize this was the same tire that was supposed to be replaced. Same markings, same nail, etc. They rotated my tires BEFORE they replaced the rear driver's side tire. So I ended up with a new tire AND my bad tire, while my good tire is sitting in their shop. I have my husband take it up there the next day they were open and show them what they did. Instead of admitting their mistake and just putting my good tire back on, they take it further. They spend 30 minutes going to "look" for my tire they took off. They draw a chalk circle on the good tire, where they nail supposedly was and there is no hole! They insist this tire came off the rear of my car, but it's consistent with rubbing on the front of my car from a wreck I had earlier last year. It blows my mind that they would not make this right. It would have been such a simple fix. I intend to let EVERYONE know what kind of crooks they are!!
On March 23rd of 2016 I took my minivan into this particular location because i have always had good luck with them. They gave me a print out of all wrong with car before starting any work. I went in for 2 front tires, front brake pads, and an oil change. My vehicle has never used any fluids other than a little coolant. It started going thrue more than 2 quarts of oil since the date above. The brakes was never tested or even bled, I know even just doing the pads the lines should always be bled and tested which nobody did. The from passenger tire leaked air untill i took car in on June 10th. I took car in on June 10th to make them fix and or redo all they messed up. I have print out and reciept for all done to my car. Nothing in any print out was there any report of any oil leak but now to this date I have had to put 4 quarts of oil in my car in 2 months. On June 10th I was told they did nothing to cause oil leak, appolagized for not checking brakes, and only claimed to fix the leaking front tire.
My bill was $532.92.... I do not appriciate spending that much money and getting my car back in the worst shape I have ever had my car in. I expect something to be done or a full refund for all this garbage or I will be contacting my attorney immediately!
