Please do not purchase puppies from heart of texas doodles aka heart of texas doodles ranch.

I'm really sad to be posting this, but our guardian dog, millie, passed away under the care of kali Amanda) kamody, the owner of this backyard breeding business. Kali took it upon herself to have our dog cremated without consulting us or notifying us until after it had already happened.

I have spoken to the vet at the clinic that our sweet millie was at and he told me that she was so far gone when she was finally taken to the vet that there was nothing he could do. Kali told me the vet said she passed from "milk fever", but the vet told me that millie was severely anemic and infested with parasites all throughout her body even though kali had assured me that she was deworming her every 2 weeks to prevent her from bringing parasites back to our 12 year old lab at home. Obviously that wasn't happening. The vet told us that our dog was covered in urine and it was obvious that she had been for quite some time and that she was very malnourished.

Obviously we are very sad to lose our puppy, but also we're shocked to hear that we not only lost millie, but also all 10 of her puppies that she had. I am absolutely outraged that a woman who claims to love animals would neglect someone else's dog like she did. If she was losing all of the puppies then obviously something was wrong and she should have taken our dog to the vet, but she didn't until it was too late.

I just want to warn anyone who has recently purchased a puppy from her to check their puppies for worms and other parasites.

Animal control did a check a week ago and informed me that she did not have current rabies vaccines for any of the puppies that were on her property so that is also something to check into. I was also informed that this was not the first Or second, or third...) time that they had been called to her property and that there were cremation without approval allegations from another family a while ago that they were never able to do anything about because they didn't have evidence.

If you want or need more information, please feel free to reach out to me.

This woman should not be allowed to breed dogs anymore. I have spoken to multiple owners who have had horror stories about their puppies or other guardian dogs being sick and costing hundreds If not thousands) in vet bills.

She does business under the names kali kamody and amanda kamody ... And also has heart of texas doodles and heart of texas doodles ranch.

DO NOT BUY FROM HEART OF TEXAS DOODLES

I was personally warned by 5 people to not purchase a puppy from Heart of Texas Doodles (not to mention all of the negative reviews) but I fell in love with one of her pups and did anyway!

While I love our sweet pup, I am shocked that she gets away with charging SO much money for these puppies. My pup was 5mo old when I brought him home and he REEKED of urine, looked like he had never been bathed, and had never been outside. I took him straight to get a bath before going home (it was that bad) and under all of his hair was SKIN and BONES. I wanted to cry - he looked malnourished! (Took him to the vet and he was!)

After our first vet appointment, he tested negative for Giardia and the vet said he was VERY underweight. He also has a bad knee that he will later need to get surgery on. Back to his weight - after being in a loving home for a month, he gained FIVE pounds - that's how malnourished he was! He doubled his weight from 5 lbs at 5 mo to 10.6 lbs at 6 months!

While I do feel that puppies should be RESCUED from this woman, I think it is absolutely absurd to pay this kind of money for puppies with poor health and no genetic testing. Beware ~ that's all.

Sick and Malnutrition Puppies

Hi,

We purchased a puppy from Texas Heart of Doodles, and have been dealing with a sick puppy requiring multiple days in the ICU. I wanted to see if there is a way I can reach out to you further via email. Is that a possibility?

Our complaint is that this breeder failed to complete her obligations to provide the health guarantee and shot record, required of her under contract and that by remaining incommunicado, she denies us access to her by which to avail of the same contract's health warranty provisions, should our puppy qualify for a claim out to two years.

On 26 Nov 2019, we drove 6 hours to view and choose a puppy at the breeder's home in Saginaw, Tx with intent to return, after staying with friends over the Thanksgiving Holiday, to pick up the puppy and drive home. Instead, upon meeting the puppies, we chose one and paid-in-full ($2000), before leaving the house with the puppy.

The breeder, said her name was "Kayla" (or some similar sounding name), said she didn't have the Health Guarantee nor the Shot Record ready but would send them to us to arrive by Nov 29th or the 30th (ie: by the time we told her we would return home). Now, almost two weeks afterword, we have received no documents ... no calls ... no emails ... nothing.

Further, all our calls and texts to her phone are unanswered and her voicemail box is perpetually "full". When we went to her website to inquire at the "Contact Us" email tab, we discovered that there is no way to actually ... send ... the email; no button to send what we filled in there.

Remember, an honest breeder could and would have sent the missing documents by now - she has our address; nothing else needed to follow through if she ever intended to.

We believe it is NO accident or coincidence that communication with this breeder only worked BEFORE money changed hands. Our own experience resembles that of other complainants. Interestingly, this woman called us twice as we were en-route to her home, saying she was having some phone and text trouble (pre-planting her excuses?) .. yet, this "trouble" seems only to have interfered AFTER we paid her.

Even if her phone/text trouble were true, we feel a responsible breeder would by now have just SENT us the completed documents and could/would have easily found a new or borrowed phone or alternative access to email by which to update us - not difficult for an HONEST and RESPONSIBLE person to do.

RECOMENDATIONS:

- Avoid this breeder .. period. We feel she is shady, at best

- At minimum, do NOT EVER pay her/them for ANYTHING before actually viewing and receiving your puppy and the health/shot records ... in-person.

- If her contract's health warranty provisions are critical to you ... buy from a DIFFERENT breeder; we don't trust her to ever respond to a claim, much less stand by any of it.

Discussed in October 2017 with Amanda that I’d be putting a deposit down for a mini Australian bernedoodle to be due in January 2018. I saw Via Facebook that the mother Bernese was pregnant and I was Really excited. She didn’t tell anyone she switched the father out from a mini aus labradoodle to a Moyen poodle. I complained that I didn’t want the size being bred and she claimed they will be same size when they won’t. I said I didnt Trust the process and didn’t want my deposit forwarded to another littler because who knows if she would do this again. She didn’t reply and she blocked and ghosted me so now I have No future dog and no money back.

My husband and i gave kali a deposit on a litter less than a month before the litter was supposed to be born. Kali, did not communicate with us, nor let us know that the dog wasn't actually pregnant until the due date the puppies were supposed to be born. We found out on a facebook post that there were no puppies that we paid a deposit on! upon further research of this breeder we have found other terrible reviews on how poorly puppies are cared for!

I bought a puppy from this lady early this year, first off we thought we will be getting a high quality puppy being that the price tag was $1500. This adoption has been a nightmare ! We bought a puppy that did not have dewclaws done which lead to a severe infection and the puppy had coccedia, we had to spend $700 in vet bills.

This breeder is not a real dog breeder rather a dog hoarder and a puppy mill, she over breeds her dogs and has so many dogs, we counted at least 15 adult dogs not including the 30 puppies she had in her home, all in a small house in a reseditial area, the envriment the dogs are in is very alarmaing it was clear that this breeder is oly in it soley for the monet not for the dogs well being she is just another oney hungry greedy selfish person. Ive already sent USDA a letter as well as the BBB, she is not licensed and does not stand behind her health guarantee.

I do not recomment anyone buy a dog from this lady, appreances are very diseaving, she is a rude crazy lady, she has over priced sickly puppies none come from health tested parents. We have called her and she never answers her phone, calls go staright to her VM its ridiculous.

DO NOT BUY

If I could give this woman a negative review I would. I bought a puppy from her two years ago and Happily thought that she had been shut down shortly after. When I saw that she had posted two dozen new puppies up for sale I was appalled.

While we love our sweet baby, Finn, more than anything, he is not the type of dog he was supposed to be. Our “miniature Australian goldendoodle” (max 35 lbs. she said) turned into a 95lb half goldendoodle half Bernese mountain dog. He was so sick when we got him, and we were pretty sure she had drugged all of the puppies because they were all so lethargic, and when we brought Finn home his heart beat was out of control and he had a fever. He had Giardia so bad that the vet told us that he would have issues for the rest of his life.

This place is a true backyard puppy mill and while I sincerely hope all of the puppies she has find a loving home, I would much rather see her shut down and have the babies put up for adoption than any more money go into that woman’s pocket.
