Gray and Farrar is a complete scam, ripoff and disgrace!!! Dealing with Claire Sweetingham, owner, of Gray and Farrar has been one of the worst experiences of my life.

She charged me 96,000 GBP for a "bespoke" service - to introduce me to eligible men from a similar backround like mine. I told Claire very clearly that I was very particular about what I wanted and went through my requirements. I also told her that it was a tall order and only if she was confident that she could help me, I would join. I was promised that if i was unhappy with the caliber of the first 2-3 introductions, my money would be refunded.

I paid for the service in April 2015 and after a few months of no introductions I asked for a refund. Basically all of 2015 and all of 2016 she strung me along asking me to be patient and telling me she just had the "perfect" person she wanted me to meet and that these things couldn't be rushed!! After almost a year and a half of meeting only 1 person, who didn't even meet the critieria I had specified, I finally figured out that she was a fraud!!

Finally, I insisted that she put it in writing that she would refund my money back. I even have her emails stating that she would refund my money by Dec 31st, 2016. Obviously, come January 1, 2017 when I emailed her asking for a refund - she refused to honor her committments to refund the money! She is a LIAR, a CHEAT and a FRAUD.

Any person who is even contemplating her services should run the other way. Do not get carried away with her fancy ads in Vogue, Bloomberg, and other prestigious publications!! I have sent her numerous notices through lawyers and I am looking to take this matter to court! The entire experience of the added lawyer and litigator costs and emotional toll has been great!!

She is a vulture, looking for preys!!! You do not want to trust your future happiness to someone who preys on people's vulnerabilities! Protect yourself and your money!! My intention here is to protect anyone who is thinking of using her services!!!

A disgrace

After trying some men, it did not work. Then i got on well with the man they introduced to me, we told Gray & Farrar both of us did not need new introduction anymore, but right away the next day Gray & Farrar kept on calling this man pushing him to see more women, it's because then they had more female customers than male customers. Gray & Farrar did not care about my love life, it's a disgrace, what they did could break up my relationship with this man. Where is the conscience of Gray & Farrar, one of the most expensive match maker!

Do proper research, and you will find the reviews that reveal the truth about this company.

DO NOT TRUST THEM! THEY WILL SELL YOU ON A DREAM, AND RUN WITH YOUR MONEY!

After my horrible experience, I have read numerous NEGATIVE reviews about this company.

Joining this agency was a total nightmare - once I had handed over the money the list of eligble partners they had assured me they had on their books simply did not exist. I was happy to date someone up to 10 years older than me but they kept pretending that men they set me up with were 15, 20 or even 30 years younger than they were. The final straw was being introduced to a man they had found out of the lonely hearts ads and told him to pretend to be from the agency, (he confessed on our second and last date). Once they have your money the charm is replaced by aggression - be warned. I was told at 37 it was unrealistic to expect to meet someone in their 30s or 40s and I should lower my expections - this was after they had promised they had lots of suitable guys this age on their books. This was one of the worst experiences of my life. Luckily for me It had a happy ending as I am now married to a gorgeous guy who is a couple of years older than me - I met him on a skiing holiday, so much more fun!

Gray & Farrar fraud

Terrible experience. Do not spend any of your money on them....Claire Sweetingham is untrustworthy, dishonest, and a fraud. Most of the men do not pay, and she targets vulnerable women.

I was deceived by their advertisements in expensive magazines and thought them credible. They charged me a hefty amount and promised 6 intoductions in one year. One year later, I still have not been introduced to one single person and I find them a fraudulent company running a sham. Anyone looking to sign up with them, please be warned and stay away.

Joining this agency was a total nightmare - once I had handed over the money the list of eligble partners (lovely women) they had assured me they had on their books simply did not exist. I was happy to date someone up to 5 years older than me. They said they had numerous beautiful & educated women in their data-base and there was not a single introduction that was even close to what they promised or what I was seeking. The final straw was being introduced to a woman they had found out of the lonely hearts ads and told her to pretend to be from the agency, (she confessed on our second and last date). Once they have your money the charm is replaced by aggression - be warned. I was told to be patient that they would have new members joining soon. This was one of the worst experiences of my life. This company is a complete disgrace!
