Grailed.com Reviews

Last March, I purchased a pair of popular Adidas Yeezy sneakers off of the resale based website "www.grailed.com". And the seller of the merchandise "Rashad Strong" stated in his ad that the pair of Yeezy's that he was attempting to resell were "brand new" and "100% deadstock" from the 2016 Adidas release of the Pirate Black Yeezy Boost 350's. I purchased the shoes for a price of $750 which included shipping via Paypal. Then a week later when I received the shoes I noticed that the shoes were not brand new as the seller had stated. The shoes were actually visably worn and had signs of dirtiness and wear all over the shoes. I immediately opened a dispute via Paypal and contacted the reseller Mr Strong and asked for a refund. Mr Strong initially refused but then when learning that I had already opened a Paypal dispute in advance he asked me to voluntarily drop my dispute via Paypal so that he would be able to change his bank account information on his Paypal account and then reopen the dispute.

This was a very well known scam attempt that regularly occurs on sites such as grailed, ebay, kixify etc due to the fact that if the buyer were to ever drop his paypal dispute he would be unable to reopen the dispute once a dispute has been closed. No exceptions. Knowing this, I refused to drop the dispute and immediately contacted grailed.com's administrator Scott Santiago to report Mr Strong's attempt at conning me.

Mr Santiago agreed that Mr Strong was a scammer and advised me to follow Paypal's dispute protocol. I did so and Paypal issued Mr Strong a "10-day notice" of a dispute and they asked Mr Strong to respond to their demands for additional info on the sale. Mr Strong never responded to Paypal in time and the case was automatically closed and the money was refunded to me. I then received an email from Paypal stating that even though the case was closed that the seller wanted his shoes back but I was not required to do so. I then emailed Mr Strong and offered to send him back the shoes if he were to send me $15 for shipping charges and signature confirmation or send me a shipping label. Mr Strong refused to do so while personally insulting me and threatening to have the Paypal dispute reopened which I already knew was impossible. After Mr Strong learned that he could not reopen the case he reached out to Scott Santiago from grailed and attempted to have my account banned from their site at no fault of my own. Mr Santiago proceeded to reach out to me via email and asked if I would return the shoes to Mr Strong,

I then informed Mr Santiago that I was hesitant and wanted to do a "legit check" to see whether the shoes were legit. So I had Urban Necessities consignment shop in Las Vegas do a "legit check" on the Yeezy's only to find out that they were not 2016 edition Yeezy's but the 2015 edition instead!! Infuriated, I told Mr Santiago that I would no longer be responding to his emails concerning this situation. I was then contacted vis email by another grailed.com administrator by the name of "nico". Nico asked me for my input on the situation and I alerted him of everything. Mr Strong had even gone to the extreme of contacting the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept (LVMPD) to file a report that falsely accused me of "fraud and coercion". I then alerted nico of this situation and he stated to me that there will no longer be any need for any additional action on my part. Nico lied. Nico proceeded to email me back and aske me to ship the shoes back to Mr Strong and that they would "reimburse" me after I did so. I didn't believe nico's suspicious intentions so I refused to return the items out of my own pocket knowing that there was probably another setup in the process since nico, Scott Santiago, and Rashad Strong had never stated as to why their actions were justified in getting the items back!! Mr Strong had already tried to initially con me out of my Paypal dispute and had filed a false police report against me. So I refused nico's demands and he banned from his website while allowing Mr Rashad Strong to continue his scams on grailed.com's website. These 3 men (Scott Santiago, nico, and Rashad Strong) are bonafide con artists!! Beware of their website grailed.com
