Rarely responsive when they make a mistake. I was ignored. Once a problem occurs, I suspect they are unable to correct it. Mostly, it is a computer program running their site. Once it fails, customer service (by young men and women) cannot help you. I had to send registered notification of my problem to their legal address as stated in the user agreement. Even then, poof, silence. If you have no experience with the court system, a problem with Govplanet.com, or Ironplanet.com their parent organization, will result in a very time consuming and costly court action. No one really wins in court.

Auction sites must operate under the laws governing auctioneers in the respective states where property is offered. While user agreements restrict users, it is your state that ultimately trumps their agreement once a test occurs. My suggestion, ask your credit card fraud department to place Govplanet on their watch list, ask your own state to examine their ability to auction property within that state's jurisdiction. Ask the Office of the National Guard to evaluate their ability to sell surplus assets, and finally, like me, just ask for a simple solution. I asked for my invoice to be accurately corrected. When I was assured that had happened,

I found my account locked, and was told to call customer support, failure on their part. I wrote 15 more letters to customer support ending in a legal instrument. I again asked that my account simply be reset, yet again silence. The asset I bid, is re-listed, which takes out of the possibility of recovery. So now I have asked the courts to issue a temporary emergency restraining order against the asset sale until adjudicated properly by my local court. Anyway, I doubt they will even answer me or the answer the court, easier for them to ignore. A simple one moment decision would have solved this issue. The thing is, one day, a lawyer from Govplanet will have to stand in court here, and the judge will read the letters, ponder their silence and ask them why did you not solve this problem.

Then, I will get what I want, satisfaction and be be made whole using the value of the asset I bid. You see, if you bid on a truck that goes at auction for a Two- Thousand-Five-Hundred-and-Fifty-Dollars ($2,250.00) well if you were lucky in bidding and that truck is worth more, you can sue for the difference since they violated their obligation. Like someone stealing from you. This will go on for a long time now, legal action actually having commenced, so please look forward to reading the letters, their responses and legal instruments. Maybe it will help others, before they just give up due to the silence. Ongoing......

My Nightmare with gov planet

21 days and 8 phone calls and I am supposed to pay shipping on items they clearly left out of the order.

PURCHASED THIS AUCTION ITEM ON 11-12-2019

(24) Assault Packs, (22) Large Rucksack Field Packs & Assorted Field Gear

ITEM NUMBER

2808922

LOCATION

North Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. 89030

SOLD ON

11/12/19

WINNING BID

US $210

# OF BIDS

SOLD!

I purchased this auction item 2808922 on 11-12-2019

The item was picked up by me in Las Vegas and the auction stated there was 1

pallet containing all the items.

The pickup facility brought out 1 pallet. The pallet was to contain all

items and a picture of the pallet was shown in the listing as well as the

pickup order or item release.

The pallet did not contain the 24 assault packs as listed on the auction.

After 20 days of contact with you I was told various things and finally

that the missing items were found at the facility 12-10-2019 on another

pallet.

So on 12-10-2019 I was told they have the items and was given the options to

pick them up, have them shipped AND I PAY SHIPPING , or receive a $25.00 FPC.

I herby dispute this resolve because of the following reasons:

1. THIS WAS NOT MY MISTAKE AND I FOLLOWED AND FULFILLED ALL OF THE

OBLIGATIONS OF THE SALE AS STATED IN GOV PLANET TERMS AND OBLIGATIONS FOR

THIS LISTING.

2.GOV PLANET ADVERTISED THAT ALL THE ITEMS WERE ON 1 PALLET AND THAT IS ALL

THEY GAVE ME AT THE TIME OF PICKUP.

3. I HAD NO REASON TO BELIEVE ANY ITEMS WOULD BE MISSING AND SINCE THE

LISTING ONLY SHOWED 1

PALLET IN THE LOT I ASSUMED IT WAS COMPLETE.

4. SINCE I FOLLOWED ALL THE REQUIREMENTS AND THE MISTAKE WAS MADE SOLELY BY

GOV PLANET I FEEL YOU SHOULD MAKE GOOD YOUR SALE AS ADVERTISED.

5. I HERBY REQUEST THAT YOU (GOV PLANET .COM) PACK AND SHIP THE ITEMS TO ME

AT NO CHARGE TO ME .

6. BECAUSE IT WAS SOLELY A MISTAKE MADE BY GOV PLANET THERE IS NO REASON I

SHOULD HAVE TO INCUR ANY CHARGES TO GET THE ITEMS THAT YOU ADVERTISED AND

THAT YOU DID NOT PROPERLY DOCUMENT AND OR GIVE TO ME DURING THE PICKUP ON

11-19-2019.

7. SINCE I DID NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE AND FOLLOWED EACH AND EVERY TERM SET

FORTH IN THIS SALE THIS IS NOT ONLY A REASONABLE REQUEST BUT IS THE RIGHT

THING TO DO

MISUNDERSTOOD MESSAGE TO THEM FROM ZINDY . THEY WILL FOLLOW UP AND CONTACT

ME.

12-10-2019 CALLED AGAIN AND TALKED TO HARIM AGAIN. STATED I WAS OFFERED A

$25.00 CREDIT FOR THE MISSING ITEMS.

HARIM PROCEEDED TO FORWARD THE OFFER FROM DISPUTE DEPT VIA EMAIL WHICH I DID

RECEIVE .

HE THEN FORWARDED THE CALL TO DISPUTES AND I THEN ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT

Chelsie Anthony WHO WROTE UP THE OFFER.

SHE WAS BUSY AND I WAS ASKED FOR MY NUMBER FOR A CALLBACK. NO CALLBACK

AFTER 5 HOURS SO I CALLED BACK AGAIN .( NO CALL BACK AT ALL as of

12-11-2019)

12-10-2019 3-21 PM CALLED AND TALKED TO HARIM AGAIN HE STATED ITEMS WERE

FOUND AND THAT THEY ARE WORKING OUT A RESOLVE TO SHIP THEM TO ME. I ASKED IF I COULD RECORD THE CONVERSATION AND HE AGREED . I HAVE RECORDING AND WOULD BE HAPPY TO SEND UPON REQUEST.

12-10-2019 4:22 PM ZINDY FROM GOV PLANET CALLED ME AND STATED THEY HAVE THE

PACKS SHE INFORMED ME I MUST PICKUP THE ITEMS UP AND THEY WOULD NOT SHIP

THEM BECAUSE THEY LOST MONEY ON THE AUCTION.

I WAS GIVEN THESE OPTIONS. PICK UP IN PERSON, PAY TO HAVE THEM SHIPPED TO ME IN CALIFORNIA OR TAKE A $25.00 FPC CREDIT (FUTURE PURCHASE CREDIT).

12-12-2019 Called again due to no call back from Zindy. I recorded the

conversation with dulce and informed her I was recording the conversation

she gave me permission to do so.

I was then told that Zindy was busy and I would get a call back from Zindy and a confirmation email stating on how to proceed.. I requested some type of written confirmation of the current status of the claim as I have never received any written correspondence for the dispute. She assured me Zindy would send me an email stating the current offers and information as to how to proceed .

I have asked 3 different customer service raps for the same information and only 1 sent me anything. It is now 12-12-2019 and this dispute has been going on for 21 days.

Facts :

I bid in good faith that all the items would be in the pallet as shown in

the pictures and as advertised .

The mistake was COMPLETELY on your part and I followed all the terms of the

auction.

It is unfair that you make me pay for what is clearly your mistake.

BUYER BEWARE COUNT EVERYTHING IF YOU BUY FROM THEM.

Buyer beware of GovPlanet a Ritchie Bros. Solution

I purchased four items from the GovPlanet , it uses the same format of buying as IronPlanet both of which is owned by Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers a public company. Unknown to me when you buy from GovPlant is that due to filling out Federal Form and waiting to get approval from the Feds to purchase these items GovPlant with hold onto your money for eight to twelve weeks until you get the green light from the Feds. That information I was told was in the listing. To get to that information you have to go through two web sites links from the main description page. Basically you have to go through a rat maze and fine it in the small print, I never did find it. The do not tell you that unit you have wired the money. I'm in the construction business and if I sold item and after I received the money I said to the buyer that he can pick up his unit in two to three months I would be out of business because it is dishonest and scummy. This is not the way business is done in this industry. Shame on them.

Beware of this company. They lead you to believe they are selling for the Government when in reality they are the owners of the material being sold. We won a bid, paid for the item, and when we scheduled a truck, they sent me an email cancelling the sale.

claiming they misdescribed the item!!! We believe they have a hidden reserve that they do not disclose and lead you to believe they are representing the seller, when in fact, they are the seller....not the GOV'T They also charge a 10 admin fee on items THEY OWN!!

I spent thousands of dollars on items listed on the bid site of Govplanet. When I received the items, the items were not as listed. A motor, showing in good condition, shows a serial number, my receipt shows the same serial number as the photo on the bid site. When I received the item, it has a different serial number listed on the item than what was on the photo of the bid site.

Also, the bid site sticker is the same as the photo shown, what it does not show is that the item is a non working item. Ritchie Brothers does not want to acknowledge that there was an issue. I want a return of my money and they can come pick up the items. I purchased another item that is definitely not what is listed and they do not want to issue me a refund.
