Bought an engine paid 1400 for it shop got the engine it had water in it. The shop called got engines and told them about the water in the engine. They were told by got engines to proceed with the installation the engine broke down once it was installed due to the bearing going bad after the timing chain was replaced. Now due to their error they arent paying the labor on the engine installation for the replacement motor total ripoff so buy a engine in person never use these individuals i will be taking them to court

I bought a used engine from GotEngines on August 25th, 2015, it was promoted by the saleperson on phone that the engines have a 3 year/ 36,ooo mile warranty, I was even forwarded to the "warranty" department to ask questions. Never was I informed verbally about having to "activate" the warranty. Nor did I ever see any thing on the online ordering pages that indicated that I had to "activate" the engine warranty. It is my opinion that this company uses deception and deceit to unsuspecting buyers, to screw them out of the warranty. Now that I read there warranty information pages, there are more hoops and loops to the process of there requirements to validate the warranty after the "activation" has been done that they would be able to opt out the remaining 99 % of those that did "activate".

The BBB on the internet pops up with a long list of complaints, 99% of which are for "warranty" issues. Sounds like the same song over and over.

Dishonest practice, cheating the customer with hoops and loops, great at legal wording exclusions, just plain BAD people. Do not hand over your money, you will regret it!

Do not buy from this company i purchased an engine for a ford f150, it was so rusted that the bolts all broke off. It took two weeks for them to respond and they responded by just sending me a replacement engine. That engine was even worse than the first. My mechanic refused to put it in the truck due, again, to rushed out parts and broke bolts. This was a very expensive lesson. Do not make the same mistake that i did. Customer service is poor. They do not get back to you, they will hang up on you. Do not buy from this company.

Complete crap

Can I give zero stars? $1900 for an engine that was supposed to have 80k miles on it.

The engine arrived 3 weeks later with coils, intake manifold, and alternator bracket broken. No worries I will use my old ones. Replacing the Intake Manifold the mechanic found rust, investigating further he found 4 valves completely rusted closed and 4 open which means the lower end was full of water also.

I tried to contact them and get sent to their customer service line that asks you to leave a name, number, and invoice number never to be called back.

After doing this a couple of times I contacted my Credit card company to dispute, explained the situation to Capital one and they said.. Let's get your money back!

Do not do business with this sham of a company, big props to Capital one!

Got engine Inc. Jacksonville Florida Buyers beware bought a motor from this company supposedly only 51 miles on it A very reputable mechanic install the motor I have put only 58 miles when it started making a horrible clunking sound brought it back to the mechanic and he told me this motor have serious chemical problem and needs to be replaced. I immediately called GotEngine for almost 2 months I got the runaround you know the runaround Yes sir let me Connect you to the warranty department. What is your name and number and we will call you back . You need to speak to the manager he's not in right now . This went on for months. At Last I spoke to a human being and what did they tell me my warranty was up six days ago and there is nothing absolutely nothing that they can do for me. Can you believe that s**t. I asked them if they could at least give me a deal on a second Motor. He replied NO. And repeating my warranty what's up. So I'm out $ 2400.00 for the motor $ 2500.00 to the mechanic Total $ 4900.00 thanks a lot Got Engine you're the best.
