Furthermore, I recently has an incident at the Goodwill in Norristown, PA.
If Goodwill teaches job skills, then they are teaching how to behave rudely to customers as well as lie and cheat.
Their prices have gone up so they can mark them down on Wednesday's. If you have a problem with an item they will not take it back (Other branches of Goodwill have a return policy of 7 days). So, in my eyes, this is cheating.
If a store manager tells you s/he will call you later on a matter, don't hold your breath.
A lot of items have no price tags on them, and when you take them up to the register you are told that they can't sell them to you. WTF?
All their stores are big on selling broken items at ridiculous prices. They get things FREE and sell items at top $.
There are other stores that are delightful to shop at, not Good(UGH)will
I purchased an item for $40 and returned it with in 2 days. Goodwill would not refund the money and issued a gift receipt for the amount. The receipt notes it allows in less than 30 days and because it was after that, they would not honor it. They kept my money, I have nothing.
As of April 2010, Oregon state law says that gift cards can never expire.
Even knowing the law, Goodwill acts outside of this and knowingly refuses to give my money back or honor the gift receipt.
You can't legislate in writing a selective race of females that chase the z-racks and totes grabbing every merchandise before being shelved or stocked by the stroke of a pen or inner store posting signs. Well look the other way and over look the obvious that management are allowing these selective daily individuals to control the flow of WORK and MERCHANDISE to be sold to third parties sellers at FLEA MARKET'S.

They push consumers into thinking in their show case they are selling real Gucci, Versace, Prada and Louis Vuitton bags . They never have any proof of authenticity! I even told them twice that the bags in their show case were fake. Last year I complained to corporate office of Columbus Ohio and the manager said she would put a stop to it. And now, they've started last week agai, November 21,2017 again ! I keep telling them they are all fake and I get no response . This is against the federal landham act right ?! They have goodwill stores online that on the majority use my poupette to authenticate. I even told the manager she could use that service which is very inexpensive or take it to the local high end resale shop in Columbus called the soho. But, no they want to deceive the general public by selling them every week.
After using the Goodwill store to shop, use the Job Connections Center for employment and make donations, both I and a local aquaintence have separately been barred from the store. Apparently, the general manager of the Job Connections Center simply cannot tolerate a writer/journalist looking for a complex and non-minimum wage job, stated that I cannot continue "using" the Job Connections Center, and very wrongly prevented me from both shopping AND making donations.
My friend was barred from the store for being concerned about leaving his bicycle outside. This store has surely been mis-named - it is not intelligently managed enough to the point where it really has goodwill.
