Go Shop And Save Reviews

  • Jun 6, 2017

I looked up the number for spradley barr auto dealership of greeley, co. Somehow, go shop and save managed to make their number as the only one appearing on any of the spradley barr ads. I called that number, was told i had won $100 because i called at the exact right time. Then i was told i had to pay $1.95, and to go get a card. I did so. Eventually, i agreed to another $4.95? Or close to that. When 30 minutes had gone by, and i was passed off to numerous departments trying to sell me numerous things, i hung up and went storming up to spradley barr to give them a piece of my mind for allowing such creeps to use their web site. The manager i spoke to looked up the web site, called the numbers, and only spradley barr answered. I called him back with the number from my home phone, but he had already googled the go shop and save web site, and spradley barr was "all over it". He thanked me, and was contacting his it people. Then i started reading about all the others who were also scammed, frequently by calling a different company or even their insurance companies. Surely this is against the law!!

My husband and I have been contacted by a company saying they are working for safelink promotion department. They stated that we won a $100.00 walmart gift card, and for a fee of $1.95 for shipping they would mail us the gift card in 2 days. The lady asked for my husbands credit card information to pay for the $1.95 shipping cost of the gift card. Once she got his credit card information and address she gave a confirmation number. She than began talking really fast asking if my husband wanted to signup for something else. As soon as he declined she immediately hung up on him, after she already got his credit card information. My husband called the number right back, this time a guy answered and my husband explained what had just happened to him. The main said we need your credit card information to finish this shipping cost for your gift card. We began to tell th e man the lady already got his credit card number and immediately the $1.

95 was already charged on my husbands card. My husband explained to the man over and over that he already gave his credit card information and that we have a confirmation number. The man began to say we need to get your credit card information one more time to confirm because the call was lost. He said we also needed another confirmation number. In that case, that is because the lady he first talked to hung up on my husband. My husband gave the man his credit card information again, the immediately said just agree to these questions that are asked. He than had a machine recording talking really fast, he was unable to understand what was being said.

After the recording would talk fast, it would say, say yes or no. My husband didnt respond right away so the man jumped on the phone and said say yes. He than put the fast talking recording on again. My husband heard something about $4.95, than say yes to agree. We immediately became suspicious at this point. My husband questioned the man each time the man jumped on the phone as the recording was talking very fast. He explained to my husband this is the process to receive your gift card. My husband told the man you never explained anything to me about the $4.95 charge. My husband declined. My husband was once again hung up on a second time. My husband called back and asked to speak to a manager, the man asked what was wrong. My husband explained everything and told the man he didnt like what was going on and to cancel the charge of $1.95 they already immediately charged to my husbands credit card and any other further charges he did not agree on. The $1.95 charge is saying its from Luv Savings. The man said the $1.95 was non refundable. The man said they would be no further charges on my husband credit card.

A few days went by now there is a $4.95 charge from Go shop and save on my husbands credit card. We are so afraid that there will be more charges to his credit card. We have no idea what we can do about this. I also just want everyone to be aware of this scam. The are very fast talking people, they use a very fast talking recording. They make you agree to things you have no idea what they are even saying because it is talking so fast. These people now have my husbands credit card information, his name and address. What can be done about this. I just know there will be more charges to my husbands credit card

Today, I attempted to call my health insurance company to provide them with some information that they requested. This health insurance company is MVP. The first time I called, I got routed to a health survey, which I didn't think much about, i'm calling a health care company after all. After the survey, they hung up on me. So I called the number again. Mind you, this is the number that is on the letter from the insurance company, and the number on my insurance card. The second time, I was connected with someone named Sebastian. He did not say what company he was from, I said I wanted to provide the information my insurance company had requested, he said "oh, yes, I can connect you with someone to help you with that, but first we have a promotion going on where you are eligible for a $100 card that can be used in any store, no strings attached, nothing to sign up for, etc." I immediately knew that this was wrong.

I asked if they were aligned with MVP, and he said "we're a company that is doing a promotion! You can get $100 gift card," so, he really glossed over whether or not there was any collusion between his company and MVP. Anyway, he gives me this whole spiel, and then asks for a $4.95 shipping and handling fee and I balked and asked why I now needed to pay $4.95 for the privilege of talking to my insurance company. He gave me his name and employee ID number, I guess thinking that that would make me feel better, but still I had to really ask several times to get the name of the company he worked for which he finally told me was Go Shop and Save. I immediately looked online (while still talking to him - aren't smart phones amazing?) for the company and the 3rd hit on Google was this complaint website. I told him I would not give him my credit card number, I did not want to do that, and he immediately got very snippy with me, saying "we're just trying to give you $100 and I told you there were no strings attached, but if you don't want it, well then too bad for you."

I told him that I was just trying to call my insurance company and I didn't think this was right, why I should be put onto a phone call with another business that essentially wants me to pay them money for an unknown reason. So, he hung up on me. The third time I called the number from my insurance company, I actually got through to MVP, and when I got someone on the phone there, I asked them if they knew that this Go Shop and Save was hijacking their number to get people to sign up for their program with promises of $100 gift cards or whatever it is. They had no knowledge of this. I'm currently waiting for a call back from a supervisor from MVP to report this to someone.

RUDE RUDE RUDE

received a call asked if the line was being recorded and he said yes then I said "since is a recorded line I want to state that if this is a scam I will be taking legal action" and then let him continue contingent on speaking with a supervisor which he insisted he was but would transfer me to a senior supervisor after he was finished. After I heard about the $4.95 fee I said I no longer wanted to continue. At that point I was still requesting a supervisor and he said no. I said he had horrible customer service and he said he didn't care I spoke with Joshua Smith ID# 20160366 the call came from Salley, SC phone #803-291-4006. my question from anyone who has handled this before is... Do I have to worry about my identity he has my name phone # and address I refrained from giving any banking information?

Go Shop and Save is just a ripoff, scam company. First, my Humana pharmacy called and left their phone number for me to call. Humana exchange is 866. I accidentally called 888 interchange with the exact same number as the Humana Pharmacy. When the answered (rep sounded that he was from India) and I asked if it was Humana Pharmacy, and he said "yes." I said i was returning a call about a prescription. He said we would get to the prescription in a minute, but that i had been chosen to receive a $100 gift card to spend on anything and i would receive the credit card in the mail and could start using it immediately. The cost to produce and mail the card was $4.95. I inquired about that, and of course the rep had a valid-sounding reason for the cost. I specifically said i did not want to be joining a monthly service company or program to receive the $100gift card (remember, i still believe i called Humna Pharmacy and the rep mispresented that indeed it was Humana). There was a recorded message i had to listen to and agree for the $4.95, but when the recording started to talk about receiving a $500 credit card if i immediately authorized a charge of $2.95. I said NO! The rep came back on the phone, and i reiterated that i was not going to accept $500 to join a monthly savings program with an initial payment of $2.95. The rep hung up on me. He then called me back and said "i did not hang up on you because I would not be calling you back if i did!" I said i did not want to join any monthly program for rebates, sles or whatever. I said i only wanted to oay the $4.95 to receive the $100 credit card and did not want to be hoining a monthly feed program of any kind. The rep told me the $100 would come to me in the form of a credit card that could be used immediately (a lie) . GSAS is now trying to take $24.95 from my debit account for the fee for the GoShopAndSave Program. The rep i spoke to today said they would cancel my subscription, remail the vouchers but the would not refund the $24.95 becauae i gave them permission to debit that for the first month of the program. I did not, and i will get my bank to dispute the charge and have it reversed.

Go Lie and Steal

I called Samsung Accessory Sales Department at 1-800-726-8721 and somehow the lying thieves at "GOSHOPAND SAVE" connected me to their phone tree and sales pitch. Since I had dialed Samsung I thought I was dealing with a legitimate company, though pushy, and that they were offering a gift card through some promotional deal in affiliation with retailers. When they refused to give me the phone number to cancel the goshopandsave subscription contract, saying it would come in the mail, I canceled my credit card immediately. The man calling himself Nathan Benson, with a heavy accent, told me he was going to report me to the BBB, FBI and attorney general. I told them that they could not charge my card because I didn't complete the verification process and to stop calling. He called back dozens of times within minutes and was horribly obnoxious. I am just glad I didn't give them my real birthday and refused to give any social security number, and canceled the card before they could steal from me.

I got a call to my cell phone from a local number. I answered it. It was someone saying that if I were to take a short survey I could win a gift card. So I took the survey and then this foriegn man got on the line and said that I will receive a $100.00 gift card in the mail with in a few days, and all I would have to do is pay a $4.95 processing fee. I asked the name of the company, he told me "Go Shop and Save" I asked their address, he told me Phoenix, AZ.

I asked for the complete address because if I am going to give out my bank account information, I'd like to know whom I'm giving it to. He said he can not give out that information and I would get all that in a few days when I received my card. I told him NO. I asked, so how are you calling me from a local 318 number if you are located in AZ, he did not have an answer. I said look! I am not giving any of my information if you can give me yours or and address to where your located so this call is over and we are through. As I was hanging up he was loudly saying something, but I just continued to hang up. Then I googled the name of the company and got the review page, full of negative reports. I am glad I went with my gut instinct.

Fraud

They Did The Same Thing To Me! I had to cancel my debit card and get a new one.

  • Oct 11, 2016

Your gut instinct?

Did you think even for a second that someone was going to just hand you a gift card? They are common thieves so I have untold amount of fun with them.

The trick is to keep them on the line as long as possible so they aren't scamming oh I dunno say the likes of you. First you tell them you are on a cellphone

and the reception is poor. One because I am on the do-not-call list which is the first federal offense and you get a twofer if they robo called you. Second cause you start to break up just as you are reading the (fake) number to them. Then you tell them you have to find your glasses and that somebody is at

the door, dog is barking - I once told the caller I was in the middle of pleasuring myself and asked them if they wanted to listen (don't feel ashamed since

they are right down there with child molesters). Then of course that card doesn't go through so you have to "rummage" for another (fake) card - all the while

they are salivating that they pulled all of you vitals and your credit card and are going to have Christmas early whilst robbing you and trashing your credit

report. Do the math. They only need one hit a day in say 50 calls an hour or = say 400 calls a day. If everyone kept them on the line for 20 minutes then they can only do 3 calls an hour or 24 calls a day and it is no longer paying off since they are paying for the call center and phone charges. Don't forget to crap all

over the caller at the end by letting them know how stupid they are for falling for your "scam" and I like to add a dollop of name calling (decorum doesn't

permit) so they are demoralized as well. Try it .

They're out-right LIARS! I was trying out a new app and a message cameup and said they were doing a giveaway to increase the apps popularity. So I followed the instructions/survey and then selected a Walmart Giftcard. Next day got a call from GoShopAndSave.com saying they were the ones issuing the giftcard and I have to pay $4.95 for Processing/Shipping which was abnoxious but sounded reasonable. The guy said repeatedly that I was not signing up for anything. He tried getting me signed upto some Diner Program which I had to argue with him til he finally said I could get the free Giftcard without Signing up for the Diner Program. So I'm thinking this is how they're generating sales leads. So yeah again it seemed to make sense like company gives something away in hopes to sell you something else. BUT giftcard never came and instead I got a contract from GoShopAndSave saying I was signed up at 24.95 a month unless I cancel online. There's no phone number on the contract so I go to the website there's no way to cancel. The phone number didn't work so I tried the Contact Form and that didn't work either so I emailed them with the email from the contract: [email protected] I gave the guy my PayPal debitcard so today I saw the charge and called paypal and reported them as fraud. PayPal reversed the charge and denied future transactions from them. Hope this helps get these jerks.

I was contacting my car dealiership when someone answered the call telling me that I had won a 100 dollar free gift card. they made it sound as though it was attached to the car dealership and it was sm y lucky day and my lucky call. They requested my crediat card number for the activation fee. When I questioned that the Indian man said that i should not worry this wasa gift that i could use and not attached to any other services. I fell for it and gave them my credit carrd number.

They then mentioned something about shope and save and I requested to cancel my free card and end the call. They would not give me my money back and kept asking to give me a confirmation number. I refused. I ended them call/ They attempted to contact me mutiple time.s I rec'd a letter today telling me I was registered for thier site. No Gift card. And the site just takes me to other credit cards that I have to pay for. Really stupid on my part. I cannot get through on any phone number on site.

I had received a call that there was a problem wth possible identity fraud and that I should call to get this resolved.

When I called I reached a company with a different name, but they assured me that they were one in the same. The gentleman I spoke to had all my right information which I verified.

He then started going though some things that I was eligible for and not it would cost me nothing. He started to explain eveerything that I would get then mentioned a fee. At this point I told him to cancel everything and do not charge or send me anything.

I was going over some statements and noticed charges to companies that I have never spoken to. I call to one of the companies and am told that I signed up through a third party company and that they verified everyhting via the third parties recording. Obviously they are able to control what is recorded and what isn't.

I asked to speak to a manager and what do you know, they have no manager that I can speak to. She says there are only four of them in a small room. I would like to put a hurting on these eople.
