Glendale Dodge Chrysler Jeep Reviews

  • Jun 5, 2017

I am so disapppointed with the lack of customer care at Ellis Glendale Jeep. BEWARE of Ellis Jeep- they are typical car dealers and will say anything to sell you a car. I feel abandoned after making my deal - their motive is only to sell you a car but not to serve you after. Last month, my Jeep lease term was expiring so I went to trade it in for another Jeep- I love the Jeep brand. First I went to Motor Village but the lady who had initially helped me was not in and they did not have the Cherokee with my desirable options in stock that I was looking for. I called Ellis Jeep and they seemed to have what I was looking for. I went over and of course was greeted warmly- as car sales people do to lure you in. Mark Gabriel seemed to be sincere but he was very "green"as he had to keep going back to a room somewhere to check on all questions. Mark and I looked at my current account online with Chrysler- who financed the lease and it appeared to both of us that my car was current with all payments made and it was the perfect timing to trade in my car. (He had asked me to log into my account so he could see what was current with my account). We made the deal and I handed in my old car and waited and waited and waited for the new car to get washed and ready.

Of course I got the usual apologies and assurances that my car was going to be ready in 15 minutes, ( I was running late for work), 1 hour later I went into the garage where my car was being washed and said to just finish up- I needed to go. Then they realized it had not been fueled up yet. Initial poor experience- right from the get go- it felt that the sales people are "all talk", just tell you what they think they want you to hear. I left with my Cherokee and my husband got a cloth and finished wiping down the wet car. Mark said the adjustor would call me to let me know if there was any damages owed for the old Jeep. I had to call and check back with Ellis Jeep several times, as I had not heard from their adjustor. Finally, I called again after not getting a call back from Mark to say that all was fine and I did not need to sign anything. a couple weeks later I received a letter from Chrysler saying that any damages would be waived, as a loyal customer appreciation BUT that I owed $283 unpaid lease amount. This was very distressing as I have my new car payment due as well as an old car payment- did not seem right- especially since Mark had looked at my Chrysler account when I was purchasing the new car and agreed that everything looked paid up. In short, I had called Mark about 5 times on his cell phone- with no response and called the dealership and left messages.

Finally talking to him as I was able to get in touch with him at the dealership. He was very rude and claimed it was not his business to know what I owed on my old car- Chrysler has nothing to do with Jeep Ellis. Well, car business is not my business and I feel that the sales people or finance people should be honest. After not being helped by the sale person, I decided to call the owner, David Ellis. I left 3 messages and no call back. I called again and a sales person, Patrick came to the phone, fronting for the owner and seemed very sincere and helpful. He took all the details and even called me back to let me know he was looking into the situation. 5 days have passed and I have left 2 more messages for him and no call back.
