I recently ran to my mailbox and my house door slammed behind me. I called the second locksmith that popped up in my search and was told that someone was on the way and they would call me. I tried to ascertain a price but was told the locksmith would let me know, he called shortly after and told me $25 for visit and $30 and up for the service. He immediately pulled out a drill and i said no, the same thing happened last week and they were quickly able to pick the lock. He opened the door in 5 minutes and turned around and charged me $223.00. Holy Crap! i called the office to say that this was egregious and the office manager was extremely rude. Just avoid this company at all costs.
I was locked out of my car. GA lock & key was the first advertisement to come up on the Internet. So I called I asked how much the woman who answered the phone said I would have to ask the tech. He told me he would be there shortly. 2 hours later (after the guaranteed 15 mins time promised) he arrived. I asked him twice how much. He never answered. He was in my car in about a minute. He asked for my credit card. I told him I was paying cash. He said it was $189! I laughed. I thought he was joking. He told me he was serious. I told him I wasn't paying. He put his "manager" on the phone.
She threatened to call the police on me and told him to lock my keys back in the car! Well, that wasn't happening. I put them in my bra and dared him to get them! I told her to call the police. I'd be glad to explain what a rip off this was! My friend arrived. She's way more zen than I am. She negotiated down to $90 from the $189. I was still pissed, but she paid the $30 difference. I wasn't paying more than $60. Please do not use this company! They take advantage of the situation. It was getting dark and I was alone. That's why I called my friend. Shame on them.
