I feel so strongly about Geico's unjust intrusion of consumer privacy that it has prompted me to contact my state representative, I have also lodged complaints with all state and federal consumer insurance fraud and scam sites.

I will now use my own funds to reach out to other victims of auto insurance consumer fraud in hopes that we can collectively send a real message, with real consequences to Geico and those alike whom find it profitable to take advantage of the consumer. Moreover, it will be interesting learn what laws if any govern Geico's unsavory acts.

For example, I cosigned for a new car for my son in-law, and temporally added him and the vehicle to our Geico insurance policy just to make sure that the vehicle and he were covered during the test drive of the vehicle. We later decided not to buy the vehicle and I contacted Geico and told them to remove both my son in-law and the vehicle from our policy.

It was then we discovered a little known insurance scam and consumer Rip-off that Geico and others are involved in; we were told by the Geico representative that my son in-law would need to be paying someone for insurance (another insurance company)

WHAT? REALLY? In other words, if my son- in-law is not paying another insurance company he could not be removed from our insurance policy and my wife and I would have to continue paying for his coverage.

I can only assume that this is how insurance companies work together to Rip-off the consumer. Furthermore, my wife and I should not have to prove that a grown man not living in our home has insurance besides this would be intrusive and it is none of Geico’s concern whom he has chosen for an insurance provider.

As with most consumer I am confused and bewildered, I can not understand why the insurance companies are only told they must stop when they are found guilty of fraud or theft. but in contrast the consumer is arrested for not having their product when operating a motor vehicle on streets and highways.

Perhaps someone can explain why the CEO’s of these auto insurance companies appear to operate with impunity not being jailed when they violate the law? We need real fines that result in consumer discounts and jail time for the CEO.

Real jail time that is spent in a real jail facility and not at home or commuting to and from the office. The auto Insurance company should not get a pass when caught cheating, lying, manipulation or staging the consumer, these are most often already state violation which are used in confidence scams by seasoned criminals The states can not continue to jail consumers for not having insurance and doing nothing when the insurance companies defraud the consumer, in other words it only stands to reason that both should be policed and Geico is clearly in need of policing.

In closing I think it odd that the police can police the consumer with laws that say consumers must have auto insurance while operating a motor vehicle Geico’s product, competitor or a likeness thereof. While Geico and similar companies are left to their own devices which have resulted in these unsavory tyranny like acts that have exacerbated consumer distrust.

After signing up for my new Geico policy covering one of our company trucks I called geico again to discuss my policy limits and coverages as I have with my local insurance broker in the past. In the same conversation I mentioned that I would like to research the possibility of adding some more vehicles to the policy but was not sure if a new policy was required or would the same policy sufice for the intended future use. The discussion from the Geico representitive went completely aggressive and one sided. Employee number 177857 (Melissa) was there for one reason and one reason only. That was to inturpet the conversation, apply specific coverages and to drive the costs to many many times my initial contribution. A 10 min conversation turned into a defensive 45 min conversation with statements from me to Melissa that all transactions were NOT authorized and that the conversation was simply to gather information. After numerious statments from me specificly saying"I do not authorize any changes to my policy at this time" the changes were made anyway driving my costs to unbelievable levels. Truth be known about these unsavory tactics and I strongly suggest that no consumer subject themselves to the stress and hardship I have endured. Amex is dealing with this now but we all know that the Geico theifs will steal my funds in a strongarm fassion as I sit here as another notch in their belt. Down with these dirtbags.

Don't ever use Geico.

Well basically my car got hit with a hail storm. I filed claim sent pictures.

After they sent adjuster to my house. Did estimate and after Geico hear bill to fix they dropped my insurance.

This is a crime and should be treated as such. How you gonna have me paying high insurance but if I need to file a claim you drop me. Unacceptable on all levels.

I was in an no fault accident 7 months ago on July 29th 2022 where I was T-boned by the at fault driver. The at fault driver was ticketed and both insurance companies, GEICO and the at fault party's insurance company agreed that fault lied with the other driver. Now I'm waiting on GEICO to settle my claim and have my car repaired. To date it has been 7 months now without my vehicle being repaired or any type of compensation. I have paid for a rental vehicle out of pocket for 6 months, and now I am having to purchase another vehicle just to be able to travel to work. GEICO has totally failed me. I took my vehicle to the GEICO recommended repair shop and they have fought the cost of the additional repairs that their repair shop said would be necessary to make the car whole again. I have incurred additional out of pocket expenses transporting the vehicle for repairs and inspection. GEICO does not honor their policy obligations promptly, if at all. DO NOT USE GEICO Insurance. Their delays have caused me to go without my vehicle for four additional months so far and they are no where near ready to settle or have the car repaired. And to add insult to injury, even though the accident was clearly NOT my fault, they have now want to raise my insurance rate 10X the original policy cost, despite this being not allowed in Georgia. I plan to file a complaint with the insurance commissioner for Bad Faith.

If I'm paying for TV why do I have to watch commercials? The commercials pay the TV companies millions of dollars to scam TV viewers out of their money for mostly car insurance, but everything else under the sun. I find it appalling that you pay for TV service and you have to watch 60 commercials every hour so what do you get (not even 15 minutes of TV viewing time) after all the commercials.

There are commercial blockers for your TV and I'm creating one myself when the signal stops because of commercial approaching it automatically changes to a non-commercial TV station until the commercials are over then it will switch you back to your TV station that you have originally started viewing.

Everybody is trying to steal your money (especially Geico and Progressive insurance commercials) that charge you outrageous money so they can afford to advertise their stupid commercials.

Geico decided that it would be cheaper for them to charge me with the accident rather than charge a person who turned right, in front of me, in order to turn into a parking lot of a business. I had minor damage to my left front bumper as it scratched the other vehicles passenger side front and back doors.

I did not file a claim as the damage to my vehicle was slight. I was told that if they fought this with the other insurance company, it could cost THEM more money in litigation. The agent told me it would probably be less expensive for THEM to put the blame on me rather than go to litigation. She then went on to say "that's why you have insurance"

I just got my renewal bill and the rate went up 100%. This is SO UNFAIR and SO UNETHICAL to treat a customer like this. I have always known that Auto Ins companies ripped us off and we are stuck with their pathetic employee interpretations of how an accident happened. So now, I have to pay a MUCH higher premium becasue of this horrible action on their part.

Stay away from GEICO at all costs.

Geico told me that they will not cover the damages that there insured driver caused to my truck when Mary Debonis back into my truck because she didn't look in her rearview mirror and she sped down her driveway as I was doing work. Geico said she had seven accidents and they are not going to put this claim in because she will lose her insurance and her license?

I told Geico that is not my problem but Geico Auto insurance a corrupt company (they refuse to pay the damages she caused to my truck). Geico does not want to pay any damages that their insured commit on other people's vehicles because they are barely holding on with all of this stupid commercials with that stupid gecko they advertise with because they know Americans are stupid and they will get the insurance because of those DUMB commercials that are meant for a 5 year old.

Geico is nothing more than a corrupt company that charges triple then every other insurance company, State farm for full coverage charges $49.95 a month and Geico wants $153.95 a month for less of coverage because they need all the money that they can take from their insured to pay for their Dumb commercials. This is another article I found about corrupt Geico auto insurance company.

https://www.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/tpjlm/dear_geico_these_commercials_are_fucking_stupid/

This is how much Geico steals from their insured to pay for all these stupid commercials, Every half hour (you have 30) Geico commercials and every hour you have one State farm commercial (that is why State farm charges less) because they do not advertise every other commercial and sometimes commercial after commercial after commercial is a Geico commercial.

And thanks to their insured that they are raping for high fees to pay for this:

GEICO spent more than $1 billion on advertising

In a 2019 study released by Statist, GEICO spent $1.62 billion on advertising that year.Nov 23, 2021

1. 02/18/22 – I took my car to have it evaluated/serviced at Capital Auto Shop (3156 Spring Street, Fairfax, VA) after being in a hit and run. Enterprise (YQL013) provided me with an electric vehicle. Enterprise told me “it will take a couple of hours for the car to charge and you can make it to Richmond and back” without needing to recharge.

2. 02/19/22 – Driving back from Richmond, I discovered that the car needed charging in Fredericksburg/Spotsylvania, VA. I took the vehicle to several charge stations but the car kept displaying that it will take over 9 hours to charge. I was confused because I was told “it will take a couple of hours for it to charge and you can make it to Richmond and back.”

3. The car indicator displayed that I had 16 miles to drive but the car stopped. After waiting a few minutes the car started and I made it to a charge station at GIANT grocery store on Courthouse Road.

4. I had someone stop charging to allow me charge. Nothing happened when I plugged in. I called 540-891-2200 and Enterprise told me:

a. A tow company is going to tow your rental.

b. An Uber will pick you up and take you to the nearest Enterprise to give you another car.

c. The nearest Enterprise is National Airport location.

d. You don’t have to do or remember anything because your record is being updated.

5. After 30 minutes I called Enterprise back to question the coordination/timing between the towing company and the Uber driver. Enterprise told me:

a. The towing company calls the Uber.

b. Don’t worry we have handled it.

6. Richard from JKJ Towing (252-673-6606) called moments later to tell me that he is 45 minutes away. I ask him when will he call the Uber. Richard told me that he does not call the Uber but AAA might because that is who called his company to tow the car. He checks with AAA and tells me they don’t call Uber either.

7. I immediately call Enterprise back to only be placed on hold for over 40 minutes. Richard arrives and I tell him that I just can’t be left outside in the cold with my belongings. Richard offers and I accept his invitation to sit in the cab of his tow truck.

8. I am still on hold with Enterprise when he finishes loading the car. I ask him to call Enterprise as well to see if he can get through. Now we are both on hold.

9. Richard was with me more than 30 minutes and certainly he has a job to do that does not include “babysitting” me as we both hold for someone to answer at Enterprise. I made some phone calls to secure a ride, warmth and shelter so Richard could leave.

10. When I get to settled, I called GEICO and shared the sequence of events. Kayle took all the information and apologized. After placing me on hold, she told me that she called Enterprise at National Airport and spoke to the manager and reserved a car for me. She told me the only thing I would have to do is give the manager my name and telephone number. I requested the reservation and she told me #3664363. Kayle then sends me an Uber link.

11. The Uber ride with Muhammad was uneventful until we got to National Airport. Muhammad nor I see any signage that indicates “Car Rental” or “Car Pickup” for all signage says “Return Car Rental.” I tell him that I have no clue where to go either but I help him. Then Muhammad starts sighing and blowing as he drives. After 10 minutes of him doing so, I asked him to stop because that behavior was not welcoming. I furthered shared that he is on the clock working/getting paid. I assured him that I was on the phone trying to sort it out.

12. When I arrive at Enterprise and provide #3664363, Enterprise had no idea what I was talking about including the manager. I called GEICO yet again to sort through all this. I am finally provided a huge truck because that is all that is available.

13. Please note that I was hired to officiate a funeral on Saturday and was unable to do so.

14. I seek more than the robotic obligatory “I am sorry . . . we are going to look into this” rhetoric.

a. As a paying customer who followed every step provided by GEICO or its provider – what did I do wrong/what should I have done differently?

b. How is GEICO going to compensate me for an incident that started approximately at 1:00pm and did not end until approximately 8:00pm – and I had to provide the leadership that resolved this fiasco?

I filled out all information for a car insurance application. At the very end, noting that all policies stated listed a minimum of six months, I chatted with customer service (someone named "Kevin", who claimed to have twelve years of experience but was rather condescending and rude, passive-aggressively lecturing me about the definition of "discrimination", which he did not understand), to verify whether I would be able to cancel pro-rated, since I only need insurance for two months because I am a US Foreign Service Officer in between assignments abroad.

"Kevin" then informed me I could not purchase insurance at all.

It is difficult to put into words how exasperating this is. Why put me through the whole application process only to inform me at the end? And I *wouldn't* have been informed at all had I not reached out *for help!* "Kevin" even told me explicitly that this ineligibility information is not provided *anywhere* on GEICO's website! This is literally a *secret policy*. This means I could have completed the purchase had I not sought customer service, meaning I was actually *punished* for chatting with a customer service representative!

This is one of the worst failures of customer service I've ever seen, and I've seen many.

And to top it all off, "Kevin" refused to help me escalate in any way, then ended our chat with a lengthy paragraph that I could not even read because he instantly closed the chat, taking away all the text so that I could not review and re-read it.

This is pathetic customer "service" and a discriminatory eligibility policy (not described *anywhere* on the website!) toward people who serve the United States abroad. GEICO has always been my insurer before and has lost my business permanently. I will also be reviewing GEICO in every online venue I can find with this information.

GEICO should be ashamed of its policy and especially of using its "customer service" representatives as police to enforce secret rules it does not state openly anywhere rather than agents there to help customers get information.

Do not do business with these crooks “GEICO Insurance”. They directly hindered the repair to my vehicle the first seven days it sat at the body shop collecting dust. One of their adjusters Stuart F. screamed at me over the phone and treated me like I was his child. After my car sat for a week, I had to waste half of my day calling every Geico adjuster or geico number I could find to get Geico to do their job and allow my car to be repaired.

Now my car still isn’t completed and fixed. I have to pay out-of-pocket for my rental car because of this. Geico claims they have a 97% satisfaction rating. I think that is a complete lie. I must be part of the 3%. Don’t do business with these people. They’ll try to cut corners on you cut cost and then throw you out like a piece of trash. That’s how Geico treats their customers when you have to file a claim. On top of that, the adjusters are lazy, and it is because they are understaffed and overworked.

It’s better to pay a little more money and go with a “reliable” and “honest” insurance company. Trust me. I found that out the hard way. Geico is a very unreliable insurance company and not completely honest to their customers.

Stay away from Geico Insurance company. They’re just not worth it from the way they treat their customers during the claim process.

Basically, a person backed her car into me in a parking lot. She willingly gave me her information and then I proceeded to call my insurance company and they told me I should deal with her insurance company which was Geico. So they have called this person four times now and since she refuses to answer the phone or call them back they said there's no claim And they will have to deny it. I said that makes no sense why do you think she's not answering the phone or calling you back well we can't assume that she was responsible. Anyhow so I'm furious what should I do thank you

BEWARE OF GEICO. WE HAD GEICO FOR 49 YEARS! MY MOM PASSED AWAY, AND DESPITE THREE PAYMENTS THEY CANCELLED MY INSURANCE WITHOUT ANY NOTICATION. CHOOSE A COMPANY THAT PROVIDES CUSTOMER SERVICE

1. Geico did not arrive on two separate occasions for their so-called roadside assistance.

2. I was broadsided by anther Geico driver. Geico said I was at fault, yet they refused to provide me with a report or an explanation.

3. I reported to Geico and Travelers on 10/22/20 that my mother had passed the day before.

On April Geico cancelled my insurance without any notification. Both my mother and I had been Geico clients for 49 years! My mother, Eileen Raymond and I were both enrolled on the same policy with Geico for 49 years. On 10/21/2020 my Mom passed away. I reported her passing to Geico on 10/23/20. I said that both her bank account and credit card were cancelled, and I provided my new direct payment to Geico through my bank account. Geico assured me that everything was completed, and that there would be no interruption in future payments to Geico.

On April 20, 2021 I received an email addressed to my deceased mother. It stated that they were unable to withdraw $734.20 from my mother's credit card, which of course I had reported to them as cancelled. I called them and made another payment through my credit card. They assured me that the payment was made and my auto insurance would continue. On April 24, I again received an email sent to my mother stating that unless payment was made, my insurance would be cancelled on 5/4/21. Once again, I called them and they said my mother's death had not been reported.

Once again, I reported my Mom's passing. Once again, they assured me that the payment had been recorded by Geico. On Thursday April 29, I received a letter to my mother stating that unless Geico received a check by Monday, May 3 our insurance would be cancelled. Although I knew that Geico would probably not receive the check by then, I still complied. On April 30, I called Geico. They told me that my insurance was already cancelled and offered a new policy for $902.

I asked them if I had been driving without and auto insurance and they said yes! I contacted State Farm and their insurance for the same policy was $904. I did speak with some manager at Geico who told me that regardless, Geico should not have cancelled me, but should have continued the insurance until October. I chose State Farm because Geico gave me no customer service, and offered no resolution. Instead of Geco offering condolences, they penalized me by trying to raise my premiums by $168.

Geico is responsible for the return of my check payment. Geico is responsible for my increased premiums. Geico cancelled my insurance without any notification. Consequently, I had been driving without insurance which is in non-compliance of the State of Maryland laws.

Geico has refused to allow me to contest or even discuss the above situations. I have been repeatedly informed that I have the right to initiate a complaint, and also the right to request a review, or make an appeal. Geico has relatedly violated my rights as a policy holder by refusing to address my complaints. Geico no longer seems to be interested in customer service or client's rights.

I've had full coverage on my automobile and Geico charge me 300% more than State farm and progressive and they do most of their customers this is the only way they can have 27 commercials every hour on TV. Geico charged me $159.45 a month for full coverage on my automobile and State farm gives me 25% more insurance and they only charge me $46.00 a month. If you go with Geico expect to be ripped off. And if you have an auto accident and the other party is insured by Geico?

Geico will not pay you for the damaged that their car insured driver caused to your vehicle. Geico has to rip off all of their insured customers to pay for their commercials, you can't even watch TV they have so many commercials on TV for every hour TV watch you get 15 minutes of TV time and 45 minutes worth of Geico commercial time and they advertise to their customers who they believe are idiots? Watch this commercial? it is dumber than dumb that's why they make commercials like this Geico believes auto insurance customers are all stupid.

Geico commercial:

https://youtu.be/X3wV5ydVewY

This is why Geico charges you exorbitant insurance rates; so they can pay for their stupid commercials.

In fact, GEICO is very often one of the leading TV advertisers in the United States. However, creating such lasting impressions is costly, so it is not surprising that GEICO's advertising spending amounts to 1.6 billion U.S. dollars.Jan 14, 2021

Geico commercials are nothing but a scam.... Geico does not save you 15% they charge you 65% more than other insurance companies do. This is so that they can pay for all of their commercials and advertising so they can get more people to join their company so they too can scam you. I rather be taken by a pyramid scam how the federal government can allow this company of Rob people and scan people is beyond me And a investigating firm came after I had a Geico insured lady backed into my vehicle and did damage $1,200 worth and Geico refused to pay for the damage that their insured driver caused on my vehicle (when she) jumped into her car and threw it into reverse when she didn't look in her rearview mirror and back into my vehicle at a high rate of speed.

If it was a child? that child would have died. lucky it was my truck not some child everything was documented and proven that their insured did damage to my vehicle and they would not pay for the damages. Geico is nothing nothing but a scam artist company that should be put out of business. Geico doesn't save anybody 15% or more? they're robbing you to pay for their commercials.

In fact, GEICO is very often one of the leading TV advertisers in the United States. However, creating such lasting impressions is costly, so it is not surprising that GEICO's advertising spending amounts to 1.6 billion U.S. dollars.Jul 28, 2020

Geico never submitted my policy to the registry of motor vehicles.

I Switched to geico on April 1st. On May 22nd I received a letter from the registry of motor vehicles that my registration will be canceled on May 20th because I had no insurance!

Of course you can’t get a live person at the rmv because of covid 19 so I called geico and they apologized and insisted that they would make sure it was handled. Well last night while my husband was fishing the police took my license plates! Geico never connected the rmv to tell them I’ve been insured the whole time! So now I had to pay to tow my car home!

Called the police station and they said this happens a lot with geico and there’s nothing I can do until I get an appointment at the registry and bring my insurance policy , pay for new plates and a registration!! Problem is you can’t get an appointment with the rmv! They only release a few appointments each business day and they are booking 2 weeks out!

Called geico and the rep was no help, he said he’s working from home and since it was 4am Sunday no managers on duty but he could see when I called last time about this issue and that this should have been taken care of!. Geico better pay all these expenses plus put me in a rental. I want to know who else has had this issue.

This Insurance Org. has to be the worst! Listed above are the two Arrogant and Unethical Adjusters that lack Ethics and Morals. The AC System was functioning perfectly; till GEICO recommended Gerber Collision, Tucson, Az. S. Palo Verde. I could have taken the vehicle to Goobers in Mayberry and have allowed chimpanzees and orangutans to complete the repairs with better results!

When an insurance org. recommends a body shop... depicts a Collusion of kick backs and bonuses! Nonetheless, techs unplugged the compressor and left it unplugged causing the compressor to explode!! This is called Negligence and refusing to accept liability and step up to admit fault is called Due Diligence!!

Recieved a letter that insurance was up for review , but I first had to paint my detached garage, fix the door and clean a piece of furniture at the end of my drive way , Now I got this letter in the winter , I removed the furniture ? why I don't know what harm was it going to do ? but I removed it , I bought the paint and waited for the warmer weather to paint , however it has been raining every other day during april , now from december to now I have had to send pictures of the improvements to this company which I did, I responded to the Tamille Underwriting Specialist GEICO Insurance Agency, Inc.,

I informed her each step of the way what was happening , never did they say it was canceld they said if I didn't comply to their demands then I would be terminated , well today I get a notice I was cancelled , after spending over 1000.00 to fix there requests , needless to say . this is just not right , this detached garage does not home any vehicle , we use it to hold are trash , I do agree it's not pretty and when the weather remains stable for painting that will be done and not for them that's for sure , Do Not use geico in my book they are theives they had no problem taking money out of my account for payments did they , I had my car there too not any more

GEICO Exposes Plaintiff'sTo COVID-19?

During this global pandemic and worldwide crisis, GEICO Auto Insurance is still surveilling plaintiff's with MVA lawsuits against them. It is unconscionable that GEICO would continue to deploy surveillors potentially exposing the plaintiffs and many others to COVID-19, a deadly and incurable disease. Is GEICO so greedy they would risk lives in an effort to win a lawsuit? Why is it that, during a global pandemic, where thousands have died, GEICO's focus it to surveil those with lawsuits against them? Thanks for letting us know who you really are GEICO, Todd Combs & Warren Buffett. Claiming to be for our great military people but risking the lives of all Americans by continuing to surveil. Unforgivable.

My state and neigboring states are under “Shelter in Place” orders and still GEICO is running surveillance operations on me and hundreds of others. Clearly, this practice is 'non-essential' and possibly unlawful under these orders. Why hasn't GEICO ceased surveillance when this pandemic has been going on for weeks now? Is your petty vendetta against me that important that you would risk my life to win? Is that the plan? Spread COVID-19 in the hopes some of your plaintiff's die from it? Is GEICO so worried about the liability on a dinky insurance claim they are willing to risk liability on spreading a deadly disease like COVID-19? What is Geico doing to help in this time of crisis? What are you doing to help the American people? What are you doing to help humanity? Answer: NOTHING.

Why isn't GEICO following CDC guidelines and the recommendations of Dr. Fauci? Is Geico as deplorable as 3M? Putting profits above people? Please, do some good GEICO. Or are you capable?

To all GEICO policy holders: Drop these abhorrent bloodsuckers now.

To all those with lawsuits against GEICO: Request all surveillance data. Make a formal complaint with your states Attorney General, Insurance Commissioner and Department of Health. File a complaint with USAG Bill Barr. Call and email all Media outlets in all regions and nationally.

While the rest of the world is focused on the health and lives of their loved ones, GEICO is focused on their bottom line. GEICO's actions are not only self-serving and vindictive, they are potentially DEADLY.

I am a driver with an impeccable record, and I was torpedoed by a drunken truck-driver from behind in December of 2018. The police immediately cleared me. Nobody was injured, but my car was totalled and two other cars were dented. Both drove away from the scene. Mine had to scraped away. At the time, I only had the most basic kind of insurance, since I had a spotless driving record.

I called Geico to report the incident. I knew that I only had liability coverage, but given my police-certified innocence, I was hoping that they would cut me some kind of break. When I called, they immediately sprang into action. They read me my 'rights', as though I were a criminal, advising me that I was going to be recorded and that my statements could and would be used against me in any fortchoming proceedings.

On the basis of the recording, they miraculously decided that, despite what the police said and despite the fact that I was rammed from behind while driving at the speed limit, I was 100% at fault. They then managed a way the other drivers, each of whom owned 15 year used cars, every penny of the $25000 that was covered by my liability coverage.

When I asked them about this, they claimed that my own interview had proved as much, even though I had told them only that I had been rammed from behind while driving safely and had been totally cleared by the police. When the police report came out and verified everything I had said in the recorded interview, they claimed that the police report was irrelevant.

I dealt with a number of Geico employees, and each was lightning-fast with rehearsed talking points about the irrelevance of the police report to their obligations as a company.

After the other drivers had collectively been paid every penny out of the $25,000 in my Geico account, Geico told me that they wanted more money and that I was required to pay it. I got a lawyer and put a stop to this, but it was never made clear to me how somebody whose 20 year old undamaged car could be entitled to $30,000 in repair-costs.

I had been a Geico custumer for 20 years. Every month I paid them a nice little sum. This did not phase them.

I became a Geico customer in 1997. Back then, I went through an actual physical broker, with whom I met in person and who was very personable. I continued to stay with them because, never being in an accident, I just assumed they would have my back when the time came. I also liked the Geico mascot, with his funny British accent and endearingly self-effacing demeanor.

And, of course, their prices are very low.

Now I realize why.

They don't pay.

And thanks to their sly ad-campaign, people assume they are ok.

They are not. Not in my experience at least.

I have been a policy holder of Geico for over 20 years, never had a claim or reason to question them. A close friend had a Home Owner's Policy with another insurance company, that just increased their premiums. She asked me for advice, and based on my service, I suggested Geico. She called Geico, and was transfered to the Home Insurance dept.

She spent several minutes getting a quote, and although it was a few dollars more, she liked the service representative's repore and expert advice, and purchased the policy from Geico with a credit card, paid in full. They followed up with a request for interior photos of the wood stove, which she imediately took, and forwarded to the address provided. Hearing nothing in a week, she followed up with a phone call.

A Geico agent claimed they had not recieved them, please send again, this time to a different address. Shortly after she received a letter of coverage from a company called "Arrowhead General Insurance Company", in a Geico envelope, confirming coverage. At this time she cancelled her home Owners Policy with the former company that she had for more than 20 years, with no claims.

About 45 days later she received a CANCELLATION notice from a company called Zurich-American, (also in a Geico envelope) stating that they don't insure homes with wood shingle siding, and that her home had shingles on one side of her house. She imediately contacted Geico, who said they were sorry, gave her another quote for double the price, which she cannot afford on a fixed social security income.

She has not received a refund in over 10 days of the cancelation. Upon calling a Geico representative they said a refund would be issued, minus the pro-rated coverage, and a $50.00 processing fee. After reading consumer reviews, this appears to be a comon occurance with Geico, and their shady partners. She was NEVER informed about a $50.00 processing fee, that she was being handed off to Arrowhead, or Zurich-American.

Had we known, I would have researched these fly by night crooked outfits and she would have kept her other insurance coverage. After calling a few local auto body repair shops in the area, I have found most will not take Geico claims as they do not pay the usual and customary rates. I am fortunate I never had a claim, and will be changing insurance carriers ASAP, and my friend is without coverage, based on my poor judgement of Geico's buisness practices.

So, I suppose I should have known in the first place that Geico is second-rate insurance. It didn't occur to me that there would be a clause as ridiculous as this.

Geico insurance doesn't cover damages that occur while the vehicle is being driven for a delivery service. So, essentially, if you use for vehicle for any type of delivery service, stop immediately. Your car will not be repaired in the case of an accident.

My son, a 19-year-old who was supplementing his income working for Postmates, was involved in a minor accident while on a delivery. He reported the accident to Geico Claims as soon as he got home.

My son is on my insurance policy, which was supposed to save money. I would never have used this insurance had I known about this sort of fine print. It's one of the many dishonest and immoral practices of car insurance companies.

With the claim processed, I was hoping that we would at least be able to use the $500 deductible and get the car repaired, if need be.

In the meantime, my son's car began to have issues. Slowly, over time, it become nearly undrivable.

When I contacted Geico to follow up on the claim, I was told that we didn't have insurance at the time of the accident. This was absolutely not true, as the policy had been in place since a month and a half before the accident.

I called Geico to find out the details and was told that there's exclusion in the contract that states that Geico isn't responsible for damages during food delivery services. This means that anyone working for Postmates, Uber, Uber Eats, Lyft, Door Dash, and any other food delivery or driving service company, will not be able to get their insurance to cover their repairs after an accident.

To be clear on this, almost half of the cars on the road are used for some sort of delivery business. Drivers for these services are typically NOT aware that their insurance will fail to cover them. How many other people are driving right this minute without any idea that their insurance that they pay for isn't doing them any good?

Geico Insurance is likely only one of the insurance companies with this "exclusion" in their policy. Make sure to read your policy in detail, and if you use your vehicle for any sort of delivery service, do not use Geico insurance.

I contact Geico to sign up for General Liability Insurance for pressure washing. They signed me up through a partner company called Hiscox. Geico had signed me up for the wrong policy that covers inside work and not exterior work.

I ask for a refund of the 6 months I was paying becuase I was not covered and they made the mistake. I called both companies and they just blame each other and give me the apology tour.

  • Feb 9, 2019

GEICO failed to indemnify me after they accepted the liability for accident. The failure to indemnify occurred with they wrote to use aftermarket parts on my 2018 vehicle which did not have aftermarket part prior to the accident. When I reviewed the estimate and discovered in their estimate the use of aftermarket parts.

I give them the opportunity use the OEM parts but the damage estimator stated that her manager would not allow the use of OEM parts. If they choose to use this type of repair on my vehicle I can only image how many other claims they have utilized this poor claims handling. I will have to deal with additional aspect of the claim "diminished Value".

I no reason to expect any different from GEICO that they will attempt to use a formula known as "17c". This formula has been adopted by many insurance companies. This term comes from a suit filed in the state of Georgia "Mabry vs State Farm" and is name after paragraph 17, section C where the formula described.

This formula is 100% in favor of the insurance company and in no way does address the real diminished value of the vehicle (you would be will advised to research diminished value prior settling a diminished value claim. I would recommend seeking advise from competent legal counsel). This formula does not take into consideration the value after the vehicle is involved in an accident.

When attempting to trade or sale your vehicle, once a dealer or an informed individual knows the vehicle has been involved in an accident. The dollar amount offered you for trade will be dramatically reduced more than the few dollars I expect to be offered by GEICO. The bottom-line is GEICO is currently guilty of "unfair Claim Practices".

I now expect them to expand these actions into this portion of the claim. My advise is be aware of any insurance company that resorts to this type of claim practice weather you are the insured or the claimant.

The damage appraiser missed over 50% of the damages that was apparent without a teardown of the vehicle and refused to use OEM parts on my vehicle. The vehicle did not have aftermarket parts be for the accident and they owe me to put the vehicle back in pre-accident condition (indemnify). I had 2 choices

(1.) was to pay the difference between the aftermarket parts and file suite against the GEICO insured and GEICO defend them in court

(2.) File a claim with my carrier and let my carrier subrogate against GEICO (I will be out of pocket my deductible until my carrier covers from GEICO). Both of the choices have downsides. It is my opinion that GEICO is playing the odds in the long run the people that do not know or do not want the hassle to challenging them they will reap large financial gains in the end.

This company or any other company that subscribes to this type claims handling practices needs to be stopped have to pay large punitive damages and/or having their authority revoked. This type of claims handle has a possibility of causing irreparable harm to both the insured and claimants. I most cases the state's Department of Insurance will do little if any anything to help protect the consumer.

If anyone is interested in joining me in investigating the possibility of filing action against GEICO. Their are several issues that I see may be wrong doing by GEICO unfair claims practices, if the damage estimator is licensed she knew of should have known what indemnification means, etc. Failed to indeminify claimant after accepting liability

I canceled my auto insurance through Geico on June 2, 2018. My policy was paid in full up to June 14, 2018. Geico did not cancel my insurance on June 2, 2018 as requested. Geico sent me a bill for the dates of June 15-18, 2018 in the amount of $71.02 for 4 days of auto insurance. So, instead of receiving a refund for the dates of June 3-14, 2018, I received a bill for insurance that I had canceled. I had already switched insurance providers as of June 2, 2018. Geico customer service insisted that I owe $71.02 which I will pay because I don't want this on my credit report and $71.02 is less expensive than hiring an attorney. I will not do business with Geico in the future.

Geico is the most profitable auto insurance company there is period. Nasdaq refers to them as the insurance company with profits that are almost unbelievable. Warren Buffet #3 Forbes World Billionaire list, Berkshire Hataway Inc #3 most profitable company in the world. Warren Buffet is the major stock holder with Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo has been a tornado of fraudulent business practices in 2018 with Warren Buffet at the helm. Warren Buffet convolutes Geico profits between financial statements of Berkshire Hataway Inc and Geico; however, never divulging the true profits. Why?

Geico profits sore over all other auto insurance companies by 45% to 75%. However, Warren reports all underwriting loses in every Berkshire Hataway Inc yearly financial statement. The loses are so visible while the profits are never publicly reported. All other major auto insurance company file them loses and profits in every yearly statement very clear and concise. The big Geico secrete?

Geico refuses to accept liability when their “elite” insured drivers hit an innocent victim causing property damage, lose of transportation, medical injuries, major delays in accepting liability and making settlements. Geico collects but does not pay. I am a third-party claimant who always thought liability was enough. NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! With Geico’s deceptive, dishonest and fraudulent business practices and refusal to take responsible for what they are financially liable to pay EVERYONE IN TEXAS NEEDS FULL COVERAGE. I bought a Mini Cooper cash and if I ever get my Mini Cooper repaired I will carried full coverage. I can never deal with Geico ever again.

My situation, I passed 2 northbound lanes a turning lane and 1 southbound lane when a man comes speeding out of an inclined drive and ran the front of his car straight into mine. Geico insured drove a light tan 2006 Toyota Camry. I was driving a BRIGHT RED and WHITE 2003 Mini Cooper only 38% of the Toyota’s weight.

Insured Geico driver: First, a 69-year-old man runs out of his vehicle, locks his keys in the car while he runs at me yelling it is your fault give me your insurance card. I called 911 at this point. Age 69 with aggressive anger is a symptom of dementia / Alzheimer’s Disease. Big time behavioral change he began to stock me with cold dark eyes. Operator 911 advised me to lock myself in my vehicle. The elderly gentlemen repeatedly blocked my path. I have my front-end laying all over the ground and he is convinced I am going to leave the scene of the accident. My vehicle was impaired, I was going nowhere.

One police officer was dispatched, when on scene a second police officer was dispatched, when on scene a third police officer was dispatched, when on scene a forth police officer was dispatched. Three police officers were on scene. The elderly gentleman uses the police officer’s cell phone, forgets it is not his phone and hide it away in his pocket. Two fire fighters were dispatched to unlock his vehicle. Additionally, the 69-year-old man was not wearing any glasses.

The Police report stated 4 officers dispatched, 3 officers on the scene, 2 fire fighters on scene. The Geico insured informed Geico that I was chemically intoxicated. Geico states, the police officers as witnesses were of no importance, what they had to say was not important. Geico stated they reached out to the police officers; however, I personally had the police officers contact Geico.

Too bad so sad for me. The vehicle’s value $5,300, Geico estimate $4,500 and totaled the vehicle, payoff to keep title $3,200 with only 50% liability making a payout of $1,600. Who can get a BMW repaired for $1,600 which is only an insult.

Remember, taking the Geico Insured to small claims courts makes Geico move. Me personally will sue for $5,200 property lose keeping the title and $4,800 in emotional and mental pain and suffering which the State of Texas allows. I have a second vehicle and I’m not desperate.

Most crazy part is Geico is still insuring a man that displayed moderate to severe systems of dementia / Alzheimer’s Disease. One does not have to be intoxicated to be driving impaired.

I used to pay $400 for full insurance now I’m paying over $400 for liability only and this is due to the fact that I had a overlaps for four days. It is obvious that I did not have money to pay for my insurance for four days but then when I made the money it was too late they doubled my insurance saying teaching me a lesson to be on time for next time.

I don’t get it I always reason once insurance is helping them and making sure of him to pay is only making it harder on the consumer not better. I live in Brooklyn, don’t have an accident at fault but yet Geico wants to charge me over $400 a month for insurance for liability, only I am sick I don’t see a fair pricing here as they ask you where you live and if you see Brooklyn is very expensive How they can just price people by the location and also be mandatory to have one What happens when you pay insurance for full year And those who have no accidents never see that money back or was never covered it’s just in case of something happens this is a big ski scheme.

GEICO INSURANCE COMPANY HAS INCREASED MY INSURANCE PREMIUMS EVERY YEAR THAT I'VE BEEN WITH THEM. WHEN ASKED ABOUT WHY THAT WAS HAPPENING, I WAS TOLD THAT BECAUSE OF THE INCREASE OF INSURANCE CLAIMS IN MY AREA, THEY'RE FORCED TO DO SO. I, ALONG WITH MY WIFE ARE IN OUR SIXTIES WITH EXCELLENT DRIVING RECORDS. I QUESTION THEIR "VERY WEAK" ANSWER. IT MAKES NO SENSE TO OVER CHARGE SENIOR CITIZENS JUST TO LINE THE COMPANY'S POCKETS. AS FAR AS I SEE, GEICO IS TAKING "FULL" ADVANTAGE OF BOTH EXECELLENT DRIVERS AND SENIOR CITIZENS. ALSO, WHEN THEY ADVERTISE ABOUT THEIR ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE, WHAT THEY PURPOSELY LEAVE OUT IS THAT THEY'LL ONLY TOW YOU 14 MILES OR TO THE CLOSET REPAIR SHOP, OTHERWISE YOU MUST PAY FOR CAR TO TAKEN ANYWHERE ELSE AT AN ADDITIONAL COST OF $5.00 PER MILE ANGAIN AFTER ONLY 14 MILES, THEN FILE THE SERVICE TO YOUR INSURANCE. THIS WHOLE SETUP IS A "TRUE" RIPOFF AND THIS IS HAPPENING ACROSS THE COUNTRY AND NO ONES SAYING ANYTHING.

WAS hit by geico policy holder. geico with police confirmed and ticketed policy holder.geico jerked me around for 2-3 weeks paper work, police report, estimate etc.

GEICO estimated damages and a supplement.together with use of rental car they authorized while vehicle was being repaired. near end of repairs

body shop inquired about payment .GEICO then held up payment due to limit on policy coverage and there was a $3.00 differance. i said you got to be kidding! i agreed to pay the $3.00 the next day 01-23-2018 payment was not made to body shop.i inquired with GEICO "TEAM LEADER" and after an hour

of going around and around they finally told me the differance was $2,559.00 and i was responsible and that was that.now, they authorized rental car authorized repairs and a supplement.they had the file , access to a adding machine and two months to review ,re-review and double check the review of the review.According to GEICO whom i do not believe, that the policy holder can not be reached.now, i can either dig up $2,559.00 to pay for their incompents

or leave my car at body shop and give up rental car GEICO authorized.SO all u drivers pray to hell u do not get hit by a GEICO insured.apparently they have

pre-ression under writing policy.and if i had rode with the western outlaw i would get a GEICO policy a/s/a/p.

I bought Geico auto policy 1/2017.

Without my permission, the agent added a $79 identity protection policy.

I did not catch the additional policy premium till I paid my 1/2018 auto premium.

I called Geico and explained I never wanted or authorized an identity protection policy.

They said they would cancel the policy and refund only 1 premium because I have been receiving monthy reports of my credit activity.

I never received any reports of any kind and I never recieved the policy.

Today I asked Geico for any proof that I wanted the extra policy and for any proof that they sent me the policy.

I will keep trying to get all of my premiums back on the phantom Geico Identity Protection Policy.

I am 67. The Geico agents tried to minimize me. They hoped I wouldn't check my bank statements.

My daughter got coverage for her first vehicle, a 2002 trailblazer, that she saved and saved to puchase.

Got a quote for full coverage on the vehicle with 500 deductables.

christmas eve, she hit ice and totaled the car, filed a claim, and now her policy has been changed yet total premium is 200 higher then first total given!

Now she is out a vehicle, screwed by geico, what a great experience

not to mention her policy stated at around 700, went to 900 within a month and with the two payments she made policy total comes to more then 1000.00

she got screwed all around, would never recommend this company to anyone, esply a kid that i personally walked through the online system with and personally clicked collision and comprehensive coverages with 500 deductables as well as glass and rental car coverages for them to change them on their own and blamed her with no proof.

I believe GEICO's advertising is false. Despite being insured with GEICO for more than 30 years, with no claims, not even a speeding ticket, they raised my rate. I complained and was told, "Sorry you're frustrated." Frustrated? Betrayed is more like it. Angry is more appropriate. I live in a safe neighborhood; cars don't get brokrn into here, nor stolen, and my cr is garaged. There is no excuse for a greedy company increasing its profits by taking advantage of customers--unless GEICO thinks "If banks could do this, we should, too."

I was a profit center for GEICO, but no more.

My car was VANDALIZED in September. I filed a report, only to find that when the rep from geico who transferred my insurance, he DID NOT transfer the $0 deductible as I had requested. Geico investigated the issue, found that I HAD INDEED asked for the $0 deductible, but didn't pay out the remainder of my vandalism claim until almost two months after the damage. This caused me to have to make the repair myself. My car was vandalized AGAIN in NOVEMBER, and I reported it to the police and to Geico Immediately. It is now OVER A MONTH from when I made the report and I have heard nothing about paying my claim, HOWEVER, they ave sent multiple investigators to my home. I have asked that they repair the damage to my car, including repairing the job I HAD TO DO MYSELF due to their horrible service. Instead of the service I PAY A VERY LARGE AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR MONTHLY, they have so far refused to pay me in a timely manner, have sent investigators to look at my car, had my car inspected twice, and NOT GOTTEN BACK TO ME AT ALL. I am trying to work with them, but the lack of customer service is infuriating. I cannot reasonably be expected to continue to make monthly payments to a company that doesn't do as I pay for. I AM THEIR CUSTOMER and have been for about a decade, now. I think I may need to call a lawyer, and I AM DEFINITELY finding a new insurance company. HELP!!!!!

To whom it concern they repaired my wife's car with several suspension parts on her car ,well long story short they turned out to be bad also. The enterprise car rental really made out because every time it was in the dealership,we had to have a rental, then they only wanted to pay them half of the cost of the parts..I will not put my wife in a car that's half fixed and still making noises .it should have been fixed with original O.M.Eto start with .we have been back 4 Times and the car is still in shop

On May 04, 2017 a GEICO client hit my car. GEICO did not do anything to repair my car nor rented me a car despite that GEICO promised to pay and I made a claim on May 04, 2017. GEICO promised to pay but they did not. Now GEICO is blaming me for everything despite that GEICO's client is at fault in the Police reprot. GEICO neglected my claim, refused to pay, the repairs done on my care on Sterling McCall restoration center and I paid everything. They wanted me to take my car at their shop. I did not accepted and took it to Sterling McCall.

ON 06/14/2017 I decided to fix my car and it cost me over 5 thousand dollars. Since May 04, I looked for Lawyers in Houston, Texas to represent me in court. I found none yet. Why? Because there are no physical injuries and only 5 thousand in damages.

I sued GEICO's client and GEICO'S lawyer is representing their client in court. Nobody wants to represent me in a Jury trial scheduled for December 9 2017. I have no legal representation and I have never been in a Jury Trial. I think I am going to lose.

It is October 16 and GEICO is not going to pay for all the damages. On May 04,2017,I asked GEICO representative for someone to come to see my car at the accident site and GEICO stated that they had nobody to go to the accident site and nobody came. I called the Police and they did not have anybody to go to the accident site either.

I paid for the repairs of my car after more then 30 days waiting for GEICO. Now my case is in the Small claims court on a Jury Trial scheduled for December 09,2017. The amount that I paid for the damages is over 5 thousand dollars and GEICO offered me over 2 thousand. I told them over the phone that that was very unreasonable. I have never been in a Jury Trial and I think I am going to lose the case. I do not know what to do. if you can help, please help thank you.

After calling Geico to inquire about the cost of adding my 21-year-old son to my motorcycle policy, I was given a quote that would more than double my yearly premium. I declined the quote due to the increased expense and explicitly asked the representative to make no changes to the policy which he assured me he would not. Imagine my surprise when I received an e mail a few weeks later detailing the payment plan for my continued insurance, it had more than doubled and my son was now listed as a driver on the policy. I assumed this was an honest mistake by Geico and called them up, I was told that a "supervisor" had insisted that he be put on the policy even though I stated that the bike was not owned by him and would not be ridden by him. Geico also refused to remove him from the policy and said that if I cancelled the insurance on this bike the premium on my other bike would go up as a result!

Needless to say I immediately cancelled both Motorcycles policies with Geico and found insurance with another company, I'm seriously thinking of doing the same with my cars, this is an outrageous way to do business!

On July 28th, around 12:00 PM, I was driving on the road in College Station, TX. Suddenly, a flying object hit the left side of my car and generated very loud noise. I stopped my car and checked what had happened. Large and deep dents were observed on the driver side door of my car and a large metal bar was found on the ground. My car got flying debris. I called Geico immediately and explained everything, after checking the coverage to my car ($250 deductible for comprehensive and $500 for collision), they told me this incident will not be covered by comprehensive because "I collide with the metal bar". That is ridiculous! How can I collide with a flying object? That incident is something completely beyond my control. It doesn't matter how much I explained, the Geico lady in the phone just insists that it should be covered by collision. I have checked it everywhere on the website and it is commonly stated that the damage caused by flying object

I called Geico immediately and explained everything, after checking the coverage to my car ($250 deductible for comprehensive and $500 for collision), they told me this incident will not be covered by comprehensive because "I collide with the metal bar".

That is ridiculous! How can I collide with a flying object? The damage was on the driver's door not on the front bumper or the bottom. Apparently, it was caused by a flying object from the left side.

It doesn't matter how much I explained, the Geico lady in the phone just insists that it should be covered by collision with $500 deductible. I have checked it everywhere on the website and it is commonly stated that the damage caused by flying object should be covered by comprehensive insurance. I asked that Geico lady over the phone to provide me the document proving that the flying debris should be covered by collision instead of comprehensive. She was not able to. Instead of providing any proof for that, she asked me to check Geico's website for the policy by myself. This is the way they escape from responsibility and leave the customer alone.

I am totally shocked that the "large and famous" insurance company in the States do this kind of tricks to their customer just for a few hundred dollars?! I have been insured at Geico for years and this is the first claim I made. Is this the way they treat their loyal customer? For so many years, the premium of my car never drop (sometimes increase for no reason) even though I never got any accident or ticket before. This probably the last time I have business with Geico. Think carefully before getting your car "insured" by Geico. You actually just send free money to them. Do they insure you for anything? Who the hell knows!!!

  • Jun 29, 2017

On Tuesday 6/28/17 I went to Geico's internet site and proceeded to put together an auto policy that included both collision and comprehensive, I crunched about 20 different quotes down to a final quote of $68.63 monthly, based upon a perfect driving record, or rather what should have been a perfect driving record. When I went to pay the first month using my credit card the process went on for some time, and then I was prompted with a we have updated your premium notice, which took the $68.63 and twisted into 92.87! When prompted it listed several tickets from back in the 1980's and very early 1990's, all well outside of the ten year legal mandate.

Naturally I called them by phone, where an agent immediately went about the business of a so-called update of their system, she proudly reported Geico chooses only to go back 3 & 5 years for driving record searches, which was of course curious as they had just gone back 29 years and 25 years respectively on mine to arrive at their updated quote of 92.87 which only materialized at the very last moment, literally as I was attempting to pay the Original Quote of $68.63. After congratulating her and Geico for the magnamany of only performing 3/5 year checks, I alterted the agent that the ten year search requirement is not a suggestion, its a legal mandate!!! In other words it would be civilly criminal of Geico to have done what indeed, they had just done to me.

At this point the agent went digging into my record and found the following, a ticket for a seat belt in my home state of WI for $10.00 in 2014 and an incident in 2015/16 where I had been rear ended on the freeway by another driver who had been driving recklassly and absent insurance, he had to be pulled over by a WI State Trooper, otherwise he was fleeing the scene. After proudly unearthing these two "err" incidents(the accident was even included in my original application with them)she announced that the premium payment of $92.87 was still the new, and best quote!

They can check with the police and other witnesses, including the towing 'service" that towed away our car! geico LIED all the way around!

WHY have auto insurance if they don't pay when an accident or disaster happens! geico does not care!! I could have been killed or paralyzed or had burns all over my body for the rest of my life!! geico doesn't care! geico is A TOTAL FRAUD. What good does it do if, and that's a big "if", geico is a little cheaper. A FRAUD is just as evil, whether they are cheaper or not. geico IS A FRAUD. geico still has not replaced our vehicle, even though the disaster was not my fault.

The person who hit me on my electric scooter is getting off free from damages caused by her lack of not paying attention to a pedestrian crossing the street. On Christmas 12-25-2016 @ 7:00 pm I was going east on Manchester and she was going west on Manchester. I waited for the signal light to turn green on Big Bend I started across on my electric scooter with my (head light and back lights on!!!) then this vehicle making a left turn from Manchester west on to Big Bend going south hit me on my scooter I was half across the street then she hit my scooter knocking my back left light out. The insuance adjuster L.M. took my statement and twisted to not have to pay restitution to me. I get a letter from Geico saying I had dark cloths on and my head light was not and the driver was slow and causous. Not causous at all !!! It should not matter what I was wearing and my head and back lights were on until the driver knocked out my left back light. SCAM!

Geico quoted me a rate and I selected a 3 payment installment plan, and paid the first payment. The next payment was due in 3 months. When it came time to pay the payment, I was astounded to find the amount due had doubled! I called Geico and was told that "there was a change from a DMV report on an accident from 3 years ago, so the rate went up". Apparently an accident my wife had which was shared fault was considered at-fault by Geico. In any case, I told the Geico rep that I wanted to cancel the plan.

Switched insurance companies, got a much better rate and moved on. Or so I thought. Today, I get a bill from Geico for $338. Apparently they didn't cancel the account when asked, and now say I owe this much for the last month. So I called Geico again... and talked to a friendly rep who told me that they would fix it and change the date of cancellation to the correct date, the day the next installment was due. She put me on hold for about 10 minutes while she worked. Then she came back and told me they fixed the date, but unfortunetely I still owed $173! Apparently, they are charging me for a short period of time after they informed me that the next installment would be more due to the 'change'. I spoke with her supervisor Matt at this time, and he told me nothing could be done, and I owed the money for a 1 month period before the next installment had been due.

To me this is clear bait and switch, they quote a lower rate and then raise it in the middle of a contract. I should have the right not to accept the increase by cancelling the plan before the next installment - which I DID.

On December 13th I was involved in a MVA my car was hit by a careless driver at an intersection, I was stoped and my car received an esstimated damage of $3,741.41,

The driver who ran into my car had CEICO auto insurance and I contcted them to make a claim for damages.

All I wanted was my car repaired and a rental car while the repairs were being made.

The only thing I got were empty words and out and out lies.

I am a 100 % disabled Vietnam Vet Former US Marine and I live on my Disability income I can not afford to have my car repaird and my insurance has told me that within the industry GEICO has a long and proven history of draging out all caalims, hoping the the victum will turn to their insurance for help.

My insurance agent informed me that when they do step in it takes around eighteen months before GEICO will send them a check.

The only Good thing he told me was GEICO has some good adds but forget their claims and it makes me wonder if they treat me like this how many others have been treated and I would assume that they must realy stick it to their policyholders.

I am writing in regards to Geico and their intrusive and controlling way they handle their business practices.

I added my daughter to my insurance policy via internet. She dicided to buy a new car and move to Fl. at which time, I called Geico to remove her from my policy, late May, 2016. They said they couldn't remove her until they knew her new insurance company, which I did not know. She is 21. They insisted to the point of harassment, so I said I would like to cancel the whole policy. I had an electronic paymet taken out on 5/26, and wanted to cancel due to unsatisfactory tactics on their part. He said I would have to report my new insurance company or sign a release of services. I signed nothing at the conception of this account, it was via internet, so was the addition of my daughter.

This went back and forth for several days, I obtained another Insurance provider, and discontinued payment. They continured emailing bills, payment schedules. I called. They had received my new information however, they wanted my daughter's new insurance company's information. I explained, she is 21, in the state of Florida, and I can't make her or her new Ins. provider send you the inforation, when it is not their jurisdiction.

I just received a pink Cancellation notice with a demand of $703.43, with a balance of $1,683.43, which is twice as high as before, and I did not agree to this, and I cancelled them, and retained another on June 24th. I owed them nothing!

I am prepared to go to any lengths to hold these people accountable. They have stocked me, harassed me, and now are trying to ruin my Ins. record by issuing a Cancellation Notice for non payment?

I was hit (rammed) by a Geico insured driver at 40 + MPH (a Geico eployee and her mother also I believe). She did not brake or swerve. There is strong suspicion she was texting. My car knocked around 180% onto the curb deploying airbags. I very well could have been killed in this crash.

The police reported my car damage at level 3, Moderate. My 2010, Honda Civic LX Coupe, 57,000 miles, excellent condition, and brand new tires was valued by Geico as a Total Loss with a reapair estimate of $10, 017. Geico offered me $10,247 (including 7% sales tax and title fee) for my acceptance AND MY TITLE SIGNED TO GEICO. If I sign my title to Geico they will in turn auction my car at iaai.com for $2,000 or more and keep that profit.

After much time spent searching my local area for comparable cars and researching KBB and NADA I submitted $11,500 to Geico as a reasonable sum for my car.

I disagree with Geico with their offer of $10,247 as too low. I disagree with Geico mandating that I sign my title to Geico as a condition to receive the their offer of $10,247 as too low. Geico caused this accident and I don't feel their offer is fair and I cannot believe their legal right of making me sign my car to them for their $2,000 profit is ethical or leagal.
