Total scammy price offer & pawn shops pay exceedingly better!

Don't sell your cellphone to this cheap racketeer guaranteed to rip you off!

I ordered an Advanced Xbox Series X System Bundle on 11/05/20. This item shipped on 11/07/20 and 11/09/20 in 3 separate orders at 3 separate times. The first order was sent to my email. The second order which is the headphones was delivered and the 3rd order in which required a signature from me at my door never arrived. My order specifically states that a signature is required to receive the package. I am unable to locate the package, after searching and asking my neighbors. I did NOT sign for this, and do not have it.

I reached out to Gamestop via phone and was told that I needed to contact FedEx and a claim would be filed on 11/10/20. I have called numerous of times trying to see where my item was but I keep getting lied to without a resolutionz I was told my claim was not filed until 11/19/20 when that is not true. I was told on 11/10/20 a claim was filed. I also have a copy of the chat where the agent confirmed the claim was filed on 11/10/20 when I called in to customer service to report I have not signed for any game. The agents keep insisting I wait but I have waited more than 10 business days for a resolution to this issue. I find this to be very unsatisfactory.

I Have contacted Fedex and also filed a claim but was told only the shipper could start an investigation and it is clear GameStop is not investigating this issue.

I was trying to return a game and get a refund and the cashier refused to give me my money back. He kept on calling me sir when it's obvious that I'm not. How many times should I have to say "IT'S MAM"?!?

I think that they are just going to continue to disrespect transgendered people in this store. I plan on telling the entire LGBTQ community about this! You are going to loose money over this!

I am an elite pro member. my transaction was in their computer. i spent 2,000 dollars last year on game stuff

i return VERY rarely

I asked for a refund of 70dollars from a transaction of almost 400 a few days later

The cashier look up my rewards file saw the transaction and refused to refund the money because i did not have a receipt. Surely the policy of needing proof of purchase is satisfieed when i ordered online picked up at store and used my rewards membership

When i complained the manager just laughed at me

I spend a lot of money on 5 nephews who are teenagers and somewhat (admitedly) indulged

I will not be buying from Gamestop Again

This location is the absolute worse Gamestop to exist! Time after time there has been complications in this particular store. This store racially profiles consumers. On December 28, 2019 I presented to the store with my son, to purchase a microphone for the Playstation 4 slim he purchased from the entity. Upon arrival, the staff member with the ponytail on the top of his head stared us down. The microphone was purchased. Then in an attempt to complete an alternate transaction inclusive of selling a Nintendo switch game, I was asked to present 2 forms of ID. First of all, I am a gamestop PRO rewards member and have been since 2011 and have spent thousands of dollars in this establishment. Second, a valid drivers license was presented. What more is needed?

The young man stated that "even a library card would work, just something with your name on it." or a piece of mail. The statement alone makes no sense as a library card does not have a printed name and a piece of mail could be anything hand written and is not official documentation of identity validity. I told the employee, I have never been asked that at any alternate Gamestop and he noted, that is is ONLY Reynoldsburg location that requires the 2 forms of ID in cash transactions due to PAWN SHOP LAWS. This employee needs re-trained or terminated.

I felt targeted and profiled for the color of my son's skin, who is black. I am biracial and there was no reason to ask to 2 formas of ID; while the white customer attempting a cash transaction at an alternte register was not asked for 2 forms of ID. I am highly disappointed and will be filing further complaints. Why not use my powerup card for verification with my ID given I just used a gift reward certificate on the 45,000 points available? This Gamestop is the not recommended and the staff is in dire need of cultural diversity training. I would like a copy of the policy the employee spoke of in which only this location enforces mailed to me as soon as possible.

Today roughly around 10 am in the morning, I left for the GameStop located at the Lakes Mall in Norton Shores Michigan. I left with the sole intention of trading in four games at cash value and also using a $25 dollar coupon I redeemed the following night prior to purchase something. Now the four games in question were Marvel VS Capcom Infinite PS4, South Park: Fractured But Whole PS4, Monter Hunter World PS4, and Grand Theft Auto V PS4. Now I checked online prior to going, and the total cash vluae would have been roughly $36.5 and for the sake of what it about to be addressed that trade in value would have been rougly 44 dollars. Which if I traded in all four games and additonal 20% would be added o nto the deal and the total would have been around 53 dollars.

Upon arriving at the store, I noticed a sign out front that stated Buy 2, Get 1 Free which turned out to be buying any 2 preowned game within the store and would be given 1 preowned game for free. I thought this would be cool because I could use my coupon to get one game for free and then get another game for free! Score right? I thought so, well upon entering the store I was immediate eyed by the cashier ahd through out my entire shopping around, I was constantly given side glances. It irritated me a bit, but I went on shopping anyway. Now before this continues I would like to mention that I am a level 3 membe of game stop, called an Elite Pro Member which has various perks. 1, Get either more money back from game trades or more value for trade in store credit. 2) additonal discounts off of pre-owned games, 3) more bonus points from purchasing items.

I picked out three games, Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Prologue PS4 Preowned Price 27.99 -Elite Pro Membership Price 22.39, DMC Definitive Edition Preowned Price 19.99 - Elite Pro Member Price 15.99 and finally No Man's Sky Pre Owned Price 19.99 - Elite Pro Price 15.99. I went to the register with my games and there was oner person before me. While this same cashier was proceeding with the transaction of the other customer, he again gave me side glances.

When It was finally my turn, Immediately told him I had a $25 coupon for an item in the store, which could only be used on one item that was the most expensive of the order. Which was the Kingdom Hearts game, and I also told him I had some games I wanted to trade in for cash. He said okay and then went to locate the games in question. he rang up the games, applied the Elite Pro Membership total to all games, applied the free game promotional discount to one of the 15.99 games and then asked for my trade in games. I gave him all four but I stated first I had a coupon but be continued to procces the trade in games. Finally he processed them and then took the coupon and proceeded to tell me my credited total was less than 20 dollars remaining.

At this point, I would like to say not once did her verify my account, he simply asked for my phone number and assumed I was the accounbt holder in question, plus he never asked for my ID when handing over the games. Like, what if someone I knew stole my games knew my GameStop member phone number to get newer games for himself. Clearly, this GameStop associate didn't care?

Anyway I digress, I thought this was odd and asked why I was getting a credited total would be be psossible to do a mix of trade in credit and cash. Which I aslo stated I originally wanted cash vlaue for these games. At this point his demeanor changed, he clealry got a tone in his voice like I was being a huge pain and stated, no not possible. Now I find it odd, that Having a coupon that took 25 dollar of off a 22.39 game mich made that free, a free promotional discount on a game which was also free would end up with a total before taxes of being owed 15.99. Now for the sake of me wanting trade in store credit, 44-15.99 would be 28.01 and plus since I traded in 4 games I got an additonal 20% value added on of total $53. So 53-15.99 would be, $37.01 in left over trade in store credit. Which again I was quoted less than 20 dollar but I cant remember the exact total but it was above 19 dollars.

Now the only possible conclusion I can come up with as to why this is the case, is simply credits applied before a coupon affect to trade in totals, and would sort of make sense credit wise as to why I was quoted a wrong price and why he neglected to apply the coupon first. I then asked him never mind I want cash for my traded games. This clearly, hje did not like the response and sternly said Okay and quickly rescanned my traded in games.

He then gave me cash of 36.48 for those games and then began to redo my order.

When this new order was placed by him, No Man's Sky was given the Elite Pro Membership Discount, DMC was given the Elite Discount but when I looked at the receipt when I got home I noticed that Kingdom Hearts was not given the Elite Pro discount. Also on this receipt, the coupon was added onto the price of the 27.99 making the total for the game 2.99 left to pay!....

WELL GET THIS!

This Cashier in question, had the gall and audcaity to apply the Free Game Prototional discount to the 2.99 left over for the Kingdom hearts game! The nerver and unscrupulous nature of the this cashier is over the top! Plus I've workedd 6 plus years in customer service/retail and would have never treated a cusomter the same way this cashier/GameStop Associate has.

When I contacted corporate office, the issue would be looked into and fro their end at the moment is was a "computer error"!

OKAY COMPUTER ERROR? That would make some sense if the wrong prices on my receipt and what was quoted to me at the first transaction. However, given the fact that on the first transaction, all three games had the Elite Pro Discount, one of the 15.99 games was marked as free from the store cashier and the incorrect trade in total was wrong that could be an error on the final trans action. Yet, the third trasnaction clearly shows, its up to the associate themselves how discounts/promotions/coupon are applied!

1) Kingdom Hearts was not given the Elite Pro Membership Discount, The Coupon was added on the order before the Free game Promotion was added on the order, which clearly 27.99 - 25 is 2.99, where 22.39 - 25 would be a free game in itself so in order to "get even" at a customer. This associate intentionally and willfully did not apply the elite pro membership discount to the kingdom hearts game in order to make the total cost owed still 2.99 to where he then could intentioanlly and willfully apply the free premotional game discount to the kingdom hearts game!

I am beyond livid at this point, I will never shop at this store ever again and quite possibly will make me rethink in ever shopping at a GameStop again.

I was checking my bank account and saw a charge on there from gamestop.com and so I called gamestop to find out what the charge was for. Gamestop informed me that there was a gift card purchased for the play station store and when I told them that I didn't order it, they gave me the most difficult time and talked me in circle and maintained that they could not issue a refund and that they could not refund my money and that I would have to dispute the charges with my bank and wait for them to return my money which will take 2 weeks or longer. They never even offered to take my card off of my account to prevent further charges, never recommended for me to change my password or anything. I had to end up canceling my card through my bank and then I ended up canceling my entire game stop account because they can't even refund my money or recommend to change anything to secure my account to prevent further charges or compromises.

I searched for Cyber Monday deals on a new Sony PlayStation 4 console. I a link to GameStop with a $100 discount to $199.99 for the console. I followed that link whcih brought me to https://www.gamestop.com/ps4/consoles/playstation-4-1tb-system/147719

This page clearly shows this is an ONLINE deal only at a price of $199.99. I completed my purchase and left the house for an appointment. Wehn I ogt back several hours later I noticed my confirmation email showd a price of $299.00!

GameStop does not have an email for customer service so I spent over 54 minutes on hold waitign for customer service to answer the phone only to have the connection dropped. Calling back I got a busy signal.

Going back to that link now still shows the unit at $199.99 but now when checking out you get a pop up message stating "This product is no longer available for purchase." At least that's better than charging my CC a $100 more than shown!

Had I read the dozens upon dozens of complaints across the Internet that exist concerning dealings with GameStop I would have been more careful in dealing with them. Instead of doing research first, I made the mistake of placing an order with them. Now I am in the same predicament that hundreds of others have found themselves in.

On Thanksgiving Day I ordered a PS4 Pro online from GameStop. Never have used this company before, I did so because of a special deal they were running. After completing the order, I saw a better deal on BestBuy's online site.

I tried to cancel the order from GameStop. Thing is, there is no way to cancel an order. From what I found out later, the company makes it absolutely impossible for customers to cancel and order once placed from them. There is no email link to write customer support anywhere on their site. There is a toll-free customer support line which I will talk more about in a moment.

The only other way to contact tier-one support is via an app that one must download on their mobile device and then select FEEDBACK. GameStop makes it as difficult as possible to reach customer support.

I did send support a ticket via their app, and on Thanksgiving day I received a reply saying my order could not be stopped. Now, think about this. Nobody works the warehouse on Thanksgiving day. There is no way my order could have been packaged and processed --- especially since GameStop explicitly states that it takes one day for order processing.

So, let's talk about their toll-free number. I called four times during Thanksgiving day to reach someone. On each call, I was on hold for 70 minutes until I finally hung up each time.

Now, one could say that an expected surge in call volume would be expected during a holiday weekend. I would normally agree with that. However, if you take a moment to Google "cannot get through on GameStop phone support," you will find a multitude of threads from various gaming forums where angry customers talk about this specific issue. It seems like, at any given time, GameStop will keep people on hold for well over 30 minutes -- no matter what time of year you call. There are customers who speak of having to keep their speakerphone running for well over 30 minutes while they continue doing their own business.

I finally get through to GameStop support the day after Thanksgiving. On this particular call, I was on hold for 75 minutes before an operator answered. The operator was rude. Even though my order was listed as still being "open," the day after a holiday, the operator told me that my order was already packaged and being processed for delivery.

As I sit here and write this complaint, now 3 days later, my order is still listed as being "open." It has not been shipped. I have not been provided with a tracking number. This is a simple case of GameStop not wanting to stop the order and making the customer go through the process of returning the item.

If anyone thinks that my complaint is unfounded, I invite you to Google "GameStop complaints." You will be amazed just how many other customers experienced the same issue where within an hour of placing an order with the company, GameStop refused to cancel the order. In fact, complaints across the Internet cite rude and uncooperative customer support.

Some customers are even complaining that GameStop makes it impossible to return shipped orders as they put no return address on the package. That's something I cannot confirm as of yet, but will be watching for as I plan to refuse my shipment.

It just amazes me that this company is still in existence and has been allowed to treat customers in this manner.

I will be posting negative reviews on the Internet as well as updating them with any additional issues I experience with this company. I will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Once my charge hits the credit card, I will be putting a stop to payment. I am not even going to allow the company to collect a dime off of me. They will get their package back one way or another, but I won't be paying for it.

I purchased a game called Mafia 3 and I went ahead and got the NEW one because it was a couple dollars higher than the USED. When I got home and opened it, there was NO game in it. Also, the map that came with it had clearly been used and not new as the store claimed and sold me. THe map had ink pen markings and writing everywhere and there is a circle like someone sat their drink on it. I called back to the store that sold me the 'New' game and they insisted that they never sold that to me and they said that I never came to their store! I have the receipt saying I did! So not only did they sell me a game with no disc in it, they sold me a 'NEW, Never opened' game! They absolutely ripped me off and I am pissed off!

Gamestop had a buy 2 games get a game for free with a 7 day return policy. We tried to return one game but they wouldn't honor the agreement until we took a second game in.

Several years ago I purchased several games from Gamestop for online download and access by their gamestop application. The promise was that these games would be available to me forever. I got a new computer and when i downloaded the application to access my games, I was shocked to find that the application no longer worked - it asked me for a one time passcode that then was not generated to me.

I called the support line several times. The results were this - the first lady who barely spoke english hung up on me when I asked for a superviser, the second lady simply said she had no idea how to help me, the third man told me he had generated a passcode that would be good in 6 hours - that did not happen - and the last man told me that gamestop no longer supported the application but that he would escalate my complaint. I waited and noone contacted me back.

I then called the corporate office. I was given to a lady there who sent me two sets of keys for my games. The steam keys worked for two games but the other four games were inaccessible in spite of her sending me two different sets of keys. I talked to the game company Ubisoft and they told me that it was Gamestops problem to resolve. The lady after sending me the second set of useless keys told me she would help me get reimbursed for the games. Then she disappeared and never contacted me again.

Today I got an email from yet another tech support person who in the end told me the same ineffectual gobbletygook - in the end telling me that this was a known issue and that they had no idea when they would resolve it.

The bottom line here is this - I purchased games in good faith with the promise that they would belong to me and that I would be able to access them. Gamestop has essentially by dropping any support for their application where the games were accessed committed fraud by preventing customers from accessing purchased products that belong to them. Through my research I have been made aware that there are many other customers like me who have been cheated by this company.

This company very obviously has NO interest in customer support and seems to feel they can just go on defrauding former customers by blocking access to the services they have paid for. Personally I believe this company should be sued!!!! A word to the wise - beware of purchasing anything from Gamestop and beware of online downloads of electronics - games music, movies etc.

Please help to submit my complaint.

On October 20 - Tuesday morning, I bought a Playstation 4 on GameStop Dublin (Stephen's Green Mall) and when I arrived in my country, I couldn't log in to PSN because of error message WS-37338-4. It turns out they sold me a banned device!!

First, I contacted CAMPCOM UK to get details about the error. According to them, it should be GameStop's responsibility to solve this and make the exchange.

I would gladly take a refund or exchange the product but shipping it would be quite expensive for me. I contacted Ireland Support and they denied to pay shipping expenses.

Companies are obligated to refund original shipping when the item is not as described. Hence it is written on the package "100% working guarantee", I believe to be an express warranty that my PlayStation will work with full functionality. Since it does not, they breached the warranty.

I have bought many items from GameStop and have always been pleased in the past; however I do not feel that I should be unfairly punished for the company’s error. If they take the product back or refund my money, this matter will be over quickly. However, since they are not willing to do that, I have to take things to the next step.
