I bought Frigidaire air conditioner on Amazon. The warranty was 2years. The unit worked OK the 1st summer. The next summer the performance became worse, but it still worked. This summer the unit is still under the warranty. It makes no cold air. It is absolutely useless.

I contacted Frigidaire at the beginning of June 2017. The warranty was valid. They said that I had to pay $40.00 and they would replace the unit, send it to a service company that was supposed to install it. I was not told how much the company would charge me for installation. Without knowing how much I was supposed to pay for installation, I did not agree to accept the offer.

The company could charge me $500.00 for installation. I had no control over the installation charge.

I explained that to Frigidaire on the phone. I had to make several phone calls because Frigidaire does not use email to communicate with customers. This is 2017! Each phone call lasted close to an hour. Some phone calls end without any results because they have people that hardly speak any English.

Frigidaire sent me a letter. They wanted me to send them original invoice and sticker from the unit. I tried to scrape off the sticker. It did not come off. If I tried harder, I would destroy it completely. That means Frigidaire used excellent glue instead of making a good air conditioner.

I made pictures of the unit. They specifically wanted serial number. It’s Frigidaire air conditioner model FFRA0511R1, serial KK44253994. I sent pictures with letter by certified mail. That’s another $7.00 wasted. Frigidaire sent me a letter telling me that they needed the original sticker knowing that I could not scrape it off without destroying it.

They might as well ask me to deliver a ton of gold to their office. I never thought of Frigidaire as a scammer. Now I do. I still have the useless air conditioner.

I bought a BRAND NEW Frigidaire refrigerator on 2/20/2017. It was delivered on 2/23/2017. It has not worked since I bought it.

I had to throw all of my food out, and lost several hundred dollars worth of food. Frigidaire has sent a service company out to service it 9 times. It is not repairable.

I have written letters, called Frigidaire multiple times, chatted with Frigidaire. They do not have a reputable customer service.

I would never, never, ever purchase anything from Frigidaire again. So not only did I spend money on a fridge that doesn't work, I have also lost money on food and do not have a working unit in my house. This is entirely unacceptable.

We purchased a Frigidaire Professional All Refrigerator model FPRH19D7LFO about five years ago. We have had THREE major failures of key components including the compressor, heat exchanger, and evaporator. After speaking with customer service, our issue was raised to Jennifer Brown, a "Senior Executive Manager." She did absolutely nothing to address our concerns, especially when we reported that our on-line research and discussions with our local service provider made us aware that this unit (and the similar Electrolux model) are prone to repeated complete failures. We would welcome a class action law suit against Frigidaire/Electrolux. We have, once again, lost hundreds of dollars of food and are facing our third major repair, this one estimated at over $600.

December of 2010 we purchased four Frigidaire stainless steel appliances for our kitchen after extensive research. Of the four appliances the only one that we have not had issues with is the microwave. The first time I ran the dishwasher it leaked all over our hardwood floor and damaged it. The stove is made so that liquids run between the glass on the door and the whole door has to be taken apart to clean it. The first time this happened I had to pay a handyman to do it. The shelves in the freezer fell out and any food near the wall next to the freezer in the refrigerator froze and the food stored in the drawers of the refrigerator freezes. It took over two weeks to get a repair person out to look at the dishwasher and refrigerator. He was very rude and incompetent. He replaced the ?cheap? seal in the dishwasher and he stuck washers at the sides of the shelves in the refrigerator to keep them from falling out. As far as the issue with food freezing in the refrigerator he said that I needed to open and close the door more. He then laughed and said that I got a refrigerator built on a Friday (meaning people did poor work because they were in and hurry to go home). He said that I?d have to live with it!Well, five years later on May 12 the refrigerator stopped working. I was told that it would take at least two weeks to get someone (the same guy that was here previously) to look at it and probably two more weeks to get a part in. I said that that was unacceptable. They said that they would try to find someone else to come out.?5-14 I called again ?5-15 I called again and was told someone would be out 5-20. I called the appliance repair shop that was scheduled to come out and was able to get them to come out on 5-16.?5-16 part was ordered?5-18 part came in but I had to wait until 5-27 to have the part installed?5-23 was a holiday weekend, I had a party planned and a birthday party planned. Both had to be cancelled due to no refrigerator. Guests were informed as to why.?5-27 more parts were ordered. I set up an appointment at that time so that I would not have to wait two more weeks for someone to come out. The appointment was for 6-8.?6-4 & 5 we had a death in the family and we were unable to offer to have people stay with us due to not having a refrigerator.?6-8 appointment that was made previously was cancelled because the part did not come in. Appointment was made for 6-10 and I was promised that I?d be the very first because I had another appointment in the afternoon.?6-10 repair person never showed up. I called customer service and they were no help. I had to reschedule the appointment for 6-18. Even though I spoke to customer service about the issue I was left two very rude phone messages about not being home in the afternoon of that day.?6-18 the part was finally installed and the refrigerator now runs but still freezes food.We lost a tremendous amount of food and after two week without a refrigerator we had to purchase a small refrigerator to keep a few things cold. Not to mention the unbelievable frustration. On one of phone calls I suggested that they go home and unplug their refrigerator with no warning and leave it unplugged to over five weeks. Then you might know how it felt going through all this.I guess that quality products and customer service are a thing of the past.

We have a Gallery Series Frigidaire Stove/Oven. It is less than 3 years old. Whenever we use the stove/oven, we sustain serious injuries to our fingers due to the fact that the knobs become so hot! This should not be happening. It is not safe. We have informed Frigidaire of this safety issue and of the injuries that have occurred, but they said there is nothing they can do. They have also thanked us for the review of the product and assured us that they will pass it on to the development office to use on its future designs.

After doing some research, we have found out that there are many people having this specific issue. They are unable to touch the knobs on their stove when it is being used due to the intense heat. There is no doubt that this is a serious safety issue. Frigidaire chooses to ignore this issue and does not care about the consumers that are being affected by this horrible flaw. Frigidaire needs to fix this safety flaw!
