Deceptive & Unethical Business Practices FRENCHIECONNECTION.NET - JASON PORTNOY AND NICOLE MONGELLI -- ND USDA Complaint under investigation & Civil Suit in process

Don't make the same mistake we did - Purchase elsewhere!

We are out thousands of dollars and we are still needing to treat and quarantine the puppy.

USDA COMPLAINT

We are writing this complaint today in hopes for some justice and hope that this breeder is stopped for his unethical breeding practices. He is solely for profit and has no regard for the health and safety of his French Bulldogs. He will not follow any of the USDA and Florida selling guidelines.

We purchased 2 French bulldogs from a USDA breeder in West Palm beach Florida.

The USDA breeder is Frenchie Connection - Jason Portnoy and Nicole Mongellli. Our vet (Lake Alfred Animal Hospital) has also filed a complaint against this breeder with USDA and against the vet (Palms West Animal Center) that did not follow the USDA guidelines for selling animals. We have a signed contract and health guarantee on the contract covering both French bulldogs for 1 year and the breeder has numerous times refused to honor the health guarantee on the contract. . Unfortunately, both of the French bulldogs arrived to us in very ill condition with viruses. One of the French bulldog's was a puppy who arrived to us with diarrea and blood in the poop and fever of 105 who still to this day has not recovered and is being treated. We immediately rushed the puppy to the vet and made the breeder aware and after numerous tests found that it had giardia and possibly parvo and if any additional time would of lapsed the puppy would not of survived. At the time of taking the puppy to the vet, the breeder still had not provided any health certificate for the puppy. The puppy is still alive but still on medication and remains with blood in the poop. When making the breeder aware of the illness of the puppy he said it was not his responsibility and refused to cover the vet bills.

To make matters at the worst possible scenario - the adult female that was sold to us from the breeder with 2 AI services by the breeder ( STARBUXX MALE) passed suddenly overnight of what has been called a seizure and our vet says it was probably too much on her immune system the ai's that were done plus any previous untreated underlying conditions. The breeder also had not provided a Health Certificate prior to the her passing. Upon further investigation and calling the vet that supposedly saw the 2 frenchies before coming to us we found out that the vet never actually gave either of the French bulldogs the vaccines as required by law as well as allowed the breeder to bring in his own fecal stool in a baggie in order to falsify and alter the health certificate for the 2 french bulldogs. Our vet says it would of been impossible to get a clear health certificate with the condition of the 2 frenchies. A copy of a health certificate was later supplied to us after this all occurred and looks altered as additional writing has been added that the vet denies adding in the report. Our vet actually reported the vet to USDA for not following the Florida Law procedures in certifying health certificates. The breeder will not assist / comply with his executed contract nor with any USDA or Florida Lemon Law requirements as a licensed breeder. We are out over $8000 to the breeder including vet fees and continued vet bills for the puppy.

After additional investigation regarding the Adult Female we found out she had been returned to the breeder a few months before because she had Giardia and Mange and this was never disclosed to us as she was sold to us as a breeding female. (see photos below and attachment)

We have photos and paperwork to prove this was the female that was returned to the breeder. Her name was "Luna".

To date, the breeder has not provided us with an original copy of a health certificate, they have made nothing but excuses and sent us an altered copy of a report. We have exhausted all efforts and we do not know what else to do in order to get closure on this matter. Please help us in anyway possible.

In addition, I would suggest you visit the address I provided above as this is not the USDA License address and we believe the puppies are still being sold that are sick.

The location also has horrible living conditions and puppies are kept stacked in a 10x10 room.

The outside has a very small grass are with lots of standing water which is a breeding ground for the giardia virus.
