Fountain RV Reviews

In addition to being incompetent, Mark Albrecht, his crew and business are crooked, decietful and dangerous. Her's my list...judge for yourself. We're talking about a 42' Country Coach.

1) Fountain changed me $1,250 for engine and generator servcie (oil, filters) that's widely available for $550.

2) Fountain charged me $3,500 to get my dash air working when their estimate was $750, plus customary parts and a probable end cost of maybe $1,000. The bungled this work because they failed to decontaminate the system on day one.

3) Fountain replaced front wheel bearings ... without doing a road test first ... and while doing this work my coach fell off the jacks, crashed to the ground, and we sustained body damage! They didn't do a post service road test because if they had, they would have seen the ABS fault light on the dash. When I saw it as I was leaving, I called Butch who said, "Don't worry about it. Happens all the time. Will go away in a day or two. OK to drive." After 1000 miles over two days, the light was still on, so I had the matter checked out. These jerks didn't put any oil in either hub, the mechanic wobbled the wheels by hand and removed the castle nut holding the wheel on with his fingers! No torque, nothing. "You're luck to be alive," the wideyed mechanic said. Those bearings must have been withe hot. "Those wheels could have...should have...come off!" It is only sheer luck that I'm here to tell this sad tale. This is $2,702.27 they'll never see, plus the'll pay my repair bill to correct their mess.

4) Believe it or not, there's more, almost $24,000 in ripoff that involves price gouging or between 200% and 800%, falsifying labor time and rates, failing to account for anything, lying, employing ill and injured workers who, in additon to working slow, damaged my coach. They put tools under my coach and allowed the leaky airbags to drop the coach on these big tools ripping off another fender. And, sadly, more.

I'm going after their Florida business license and filing complaints anywhere and everywhere I can (BBB, iRV2, Country Coach Owner's Assn. FAIR WARNING: if after reading this, you have Fountain RV do any work for you, you deserve what you get. If you know these jerks, please tell them about this post.

January 2016 between insurance claim and personal monies spent 31,000 with this company. Water damage to coach and my personal quote was 18,500 then when insurance was going to pay most of claim the price doubled, insurance check made out to both parties so my mistake was to give check to Mark before work started. Work was to be complete in four weeks but this changed to eight weeks. We were not on property but just for limited visits because all walls were to be torn out and could not stay in motorhome. Insurance claim was to tear out all insullation and replace with new wall and wallpaper.. This did not happen wall torn out no insullation was replaced(cover up) and wall paper board(pre applied wallpaper already glued to board) was installed. Installed vinyl flooring and angles were not mitered just too many cracks were showing in floor after the finished floor was complete. Seal slides with caulk witch insurance claim was 700.00 to caulk front slide and after leaving location and first rain the motorhome leaked worse than when before Fountain repaired and caulked. I called and was seven hours away this was my second trip trying to re-fix what they failed to fix right the first time their response we will authorize 100 to fix leak and they charged me over 2000 to fix the first time. If they can not fix it right the first time why would I expect them to fix it on the second trip to the shop.

1) sikaflex on awning did not remove now permanet black spots

2)leaking worse now than before project started

3)no miter on angles of wood work and severe gaps on molding

4)used wallpaper board not wall paper

5) no insullation replaced but ins paid to replace

6)no clean up on inside of coach when we took delivery

There was a don't care argumentaive attitude with Mark the owner. Never was concerned with my issues. I was in business for 30 years and believe me the customer is not always right but in this case we were 100% right in our concerns. I believe since this was an inurance job we were taken advantage of along with the insurance company. They even filed an additional claim for 3250 with my insurance company for work that was not performed I gave them two weeks to call me after they cashed the check. I then called and they tried to say the work had been performed. Finally they said bring it back and we will make it right. We did go back and they did a quick fix just to get us out.

Since leaving Fountain we stopped at two other facilities trying to trade and both RV dealers asked me if I had done the remodel on inside of our coach.(said it was like an amature had done the job.)

I hope no one else has to go through this at Fountain RV just cause people on forum suggest a certain business do your own check out. My red flags as I look back is do not pay monies up front, do not leave motorhome alone, record all conversation and get it in writting. If the job is not done correct contact the state attorney general and follow up
