I was asked to partner with Leon and Earl to open this business in late 2015. I provided organic coffee and organic beverages, including equipment. Over the course of a month I invested about $4,000 into getting the coffee corner of the store ready. I expected the beginning to be slow, so I didn't put pressure on them to pay. I collected one check in early 2016 for just over $500.00. I immediately reinvested the money into more coffee, and quickly refilled the shelves. I returned 2 months later to see that not much had been sold. I was very patient, and told them no pressure. The next month I brought a bill, and was asked to wait a couple weeks. I came back 6 weeks later and was again asked to wait. I then received a few orders of cbd oil totaling about $600 in exchange for relief from some of their debt.
To this day I have not received any other payment, and the owner, Leon, began using racist behavior online. When confronted, Leon excused his behavior, blew me off, and tried to deny any contact with me. I then witnessed a memorial day sale advertisement with a confederate flag, from their store. When i asked about this, i was blocked from any contact with the store. The co-owner Earl then contacted me and demanded that i pick up my stuff. I arrived and they offered me $320.00. I have full paperwork stating what products they received, and it totals over $2,400. There is also equipment that I never offered, nor agreed to sell to them, including a $500 beaverage cooler. The owner was not there, but was contacted. As soon as he heard how much money was owed, he immediately said, "call the cops." Upon hearing this, I crumbled the $320.00 check and turned to leave, knowing the matter was already headed to court. Earl then called me a f****t-a*s white boy, and aggressively jumped in my face, threatening to f**k me up, and mop the floor with me. Luckily I had witnesses present, and when a female in my party told him he was acting disgusting, he called her a "d**k-sucking h*o" while forcing us out of the front door. 45 mins later a sherriffs deputy called me and told me don't come back!
