Flagship Merchant Services Reviews

  • Oct 3, 2021

March 2020 had a batch of a couple thousand dollars not go through. I didn't discover this until November when I was reconciling my QuickBooks. I reached out to them and the refused to honor the payment EVEN with proof showing everything was done correctly on my part and the customers card had been charged. After a series of phone calls and emails, I was informed there was nothing they could do and told me to reach out to the customer and receive payment again.

NO WAY IN HELL would I ever consider doing this! I asked to closed my account in May 2021, but didn't realize I needed to sign some documents to officialy close my account (my mistake). So they kept charging me through August and at a PREMIUM RATE no doubt even though I had not processed any card. When I asked to get these fees refunded, they said no such luck. I left them and moved on to a better, local processor.

We were promised average or below average rates on credit card processing, something around 2.2%. We really chose this company because they sounded like they could easily integrate with an online shopping cart that we were developing. When it came tax season, our accountants found all kinds of hidden fees. When everything was calculated, we were actually paying more than TWICE what we were quoted. When we discovered this, we tried over and over to get in touch with our company rep, and after a month, he had still not gotten back to us.

Their "IAccess" portal, which is an online system where you can track transations and fees, is perfectly designed to make it almost impossible to figure out how much you're being charged by Flagship. There are little hidden fees at every step of the way.

Please save yourself from this nightmare company, and get out while you can.

We submit request of cancellation of service for my two accounts due to change of business entity and was issued a different new merchant account number due to the company entity change. Flagship merchant services issue a double merchant account numbers. We use only 1 merchant account service and never the other one , as it was requested previously to be cancelled. But despite of constant emails and calls to customer service departments as well as the in charged, there are no avail and your company keeps on taking money from our business account. We never use this service since February 2016. As a senior citizen, i felt like we are being exlploited and abuse with this company and got rip off with all these fees total of $1,233.49 taking out from our bank account. We filed a complaint at Better Business Bureau and Flagship Merchant Services, said they overnight a check on December 27,2017 but until now January 18, 2018 - there is NO CHECK at all.

Just know that you will have to keep them honest on a regular basis. They offered a complimentary 30 day subscription to a service. I cancelled it within the 30 day and the continued to charge me $19.95 per month for the next 4 months. When I called about it, they said that I didn't cancel. I forwarded them the cancellation email that they sent when I cancelled it. Oh, yes they would refund my money since I was able to prove it.

Then I did my PCI compliance and they had no record of it. Charged me $30 per month for 3 months and then $40 for the next month. I called and they agreed to refund my money only after I proved that I was compliant with another email that I had saved. Said they would refund 4 months but only refunded 3. When I called on this, they said that it is their policy to only refund 3 months regardless if it is their fault. They said I should have watched my statements closer and caught it sooner. They acknowledged that it was taken improperly but said that it was my fault for not catching their mistake. I asked them if they stole from me for a whole year, would they refund it. They replied that I would only get 3 months back because I didn't watch my statements and catch them doing it.

I said I would close the account and then they offered to refund the $30. I asked for a confirmation email, which I received and kept. Of course, they never did process the refund. When I called back a month later to ask about it, they said that they weren't going to process the refund because I was cancelling the account anyhow. It was my money and they wouldn't give it back unless I stayed with the company. Just beware, they are very dishonest.

I was contacted by Edward Carmona of Flagship Merchant Services regarding a bank card reader. I was participating in a few craft bazzars and needed a bank card reader.

I filled out a contract and i was told that nothing can be done without me authorizing it. Found out that was not the case. I was charged for a product that i do not have. I returned the card reader the day it came in the mail.

I contacted Edward several times by phone and e-mail he did not answer either.

A month or so later on my bank account i was charged by the above company. i stopped payment via dispute from my bank and won the case. A few weeks later i was charged from the above company for cancelling my payment and an additional fee of insufficent funds it came to arount 53.00.

I contacted flagship account services and explained everything to the lady on the phone she laughed in my face and told me it was my problem. wrote Edward and phoned him again no contact. Next month i got a letter from collections and now they are calling 6 or more times a day. i think it is now eight dollars.

i have all the emails that i sent and received.

I signed up for an account and was told it would only be 20.00 per month plus a percentage of the credit card charges that i ran. In 90 days, my monthly charge went up to 76.00 per month before i cancelled the account and had to close my bank account associated with the credit card processing. When i called, i was told by "customer service", who is apparently "i pay", that all charges had been disclosed to me and that they had a contract stating as such. Needless to say, i have not recieved a copy of the contract yet, but even then, when i inquired about the false representations made to me by martin hyppolite at flagship merchant services, i was told that no such representations had been made.

Lesson: always do online research before contracting with credit card processing companies. Also, reviews from the better business bureau evidence hundreds of complaints just like mine and others listed on this site.

Fees started off at $20 per month in early 2015 and wound up at $145 per moth by year's end even without usage of our in-store terminal.

For online store sales we were being charges as much as 37.5% of the gross sales price.

For 2015 we paid more than 15% of total online and in-store sales.

They lied about the fees plain and simple, kept jacking fees whenever they wanted and took the money right out of our bank account.

These people should be in prison.
