This is a very expensive repair that is reserved for engines with over 100,000 miles and then only for autos the owner plan to keep for a long time. Moreover, this work is not needed for a Non-Interference engine, which the Impreza has. This means that if the belt were to fail, there would be no additional harm to the engine. They took advantage of a passive and niave woman. The service dept managers are unsrupulous and predators and this is a total rip-off.
