I attended FMU from 2006 through 2007. Upon enrollment for Massage Therapy I was informed by the admissions person that the field was in very high demand. I was also informed that upon completion of the course and state license, that I would be making a minimum of $60/hr. As well as, if I excelled, that I would be one of the ones to get a career established with ease. I graduated within the course rcommendations and passed the state board exam. Once I was done, I returned to the school as instructed, presenting my test results. They had me sign a document that said I was not needing any assistance with job placement, told me if I didn't i would not receive my certification.
I followed as instructed, afterall I was expecting to get a job with no trouble and a high paying one at that. When I did look for work in the field after receiving my license, there was nothing with that high a pay rate. Most places that offered Massage would only pay minimum wages. A couple places said that I could rent a room. However, I had to be responsible for my own clients. The cost of the room was upfront and due weekly. I couldn't afford the rates some were $150 a week up to $300. Even with the test scores I could not find a suitable career in the field. Now I have student loans I cannot pay back because I relied on thier statements on enrollment into thier school. I've been struggling with this problem for a long time and only recently learned that I was not the only one who was lied to.
I was a student at everest College, first I didn't want to continue my course a week in to the program and they bullied me into it, they told me regardless I would still have to pay 8 grand or finish and pay the 12 grand. I am still unable to get a job to become an MA, I want my loan tooken away or at least half tooken away, they never offered to help me find a career I would leave messages after messages and if they found one for me it would be 2 hours away form my home.

When I was looking into taking an online course for my Associates Degree in Computer Information Science, I came across Everest University Online. When I called them, they quoted me $9,000 for the 2 year course because it was an online course. I filed for 2 loans, one student loan and a federal student loan for which has a grace period. Again, the total of both loans was $9,000. I graduated in October of 2015 and have since started to look into what it will take to pay back the federal loan. When I spoke with a representative, he told me I owed over $17,000 which caused me to choke. I proceeded to tell him that I applied for 2 loans totaling $9,000 and they should only have a $5,000 loan for me. Logging into my student portal, my account balance is $12,550 which is $3,550 more than I was quoted. I got on the phone with the financial aid department at Everest and the woman even said she agreed there was something not right because she didn't even come up with the $12,550. I just received an email from a director of studen finance telling me my student ledger reports $16,601. While I was waiting for this guys reply (took 2 weeks mind you) I was looking into a program to possibly help me get rid of or reduce my loans and she informed me the school reported 6 loans on my account. Mind you I only applied for 2 loans! When I replied to the director of financial aid telling him what I know compared to what I am being told, his reply was, remember that these loans do collect interest. I really believe this school needs to be investigated like yesterday!

I just was recently released from jail for a battery charge My administrator Mr. Dean assisited me with filling out for my legal aid. Whwn it ca,e down to my externship they sent me to work for a billing and coding dept in one of the hospitals when i got there the person who was over my Externship Ms. Valencia first thing ca,e out her mouth I don't know why they keep sending externs when you have not even the basics of what you need to know for this position, so after 2 weeks of trainig I asked Ms. Valencia do she think I can interview for the position she said I would like to, but they should have been honest with a background felony of battery they should not even signed you up for this position because of your background. So I explained what was said and they couldn't tell me anything but keep applying to jobs. Need to say I never got hired just debt.

Under The Medical Coding and Billing. But they had made an mistake listed me under the Business Degree and I had them to correct it right away and they enter me into the Medical Coding and Billing. Everest Unviersity Online would offer me some mini course that was not containing to my online degree and the Everest would want me to repeat taking a course that I had pass in some summer and winter term cause Everest did not offer the course I need durning those time for me to me forward with my degree and cause of that it ran my student loans debt up and to 49,000 plus in debt cause of this. I have email support about the course they want me to repeat and I'm stating that I need to move forward and not backward. Everest stated they were a creditied school and the credit would transfer but that incorrect Everest not a creitabiliy school. So that went i try to enrolled in Kaplan Online Unviersity and that went I found out that my credit was not tranfer and they my pell grant had been delpted and they would not let me enrolled in their program cause there were not enought to courage and i was over my head in loans and they would not accept me into their program. I did not received a penny out of all that money Everest took out on me and they and they told me the school would help me get a laptop too and I never recieved it. At this time I asking for all my students loans be forgiving and dicharge and the Money return back to the proper owner where they took the loans from and they pay me for the stress and emointment they put me thru cause I was never able to complete the program cause of Everest stop offering it and I left with the bills and it outrages. Please help me to correct a wrong that not right they cant keep taking people money and dont delivered what they or offering. In 2012 went to everest in earthcity mo enroll in maa class finish with honor.before i enroll they told me i had to take out two loans.faa and a personal loan i did and they told me later about three month that i had to start paying on the personal loan in order to get my diploma i did not have a job to do this yet they told me they will help get a job in my field im not they did not keep their word and told me that i can find one on my own time.
I was a student attending Everest College in 2011-2012. I had maintained a GPA of 3.0 and higher, made it to all my classes and got all my certifications required. I was paying on my geniuses loan that I had pulled out for school which was hard because I was just a student and didn't work. Then in June-July I had gotten pregnant and was really sick I made my best attempt to attend classes and finally got the right medication to be able to stay in class. Then in August I was put on bed rest my my doctor and was not able to finish the last few weeks of my class. I had medical documents that I couldn't and was kicked out of my extern site due to not being able to leave my house. I went and showed my paper work while on bed rest that it was just temporary untill I got my lad tests done. The principal told me I had two weeks to find a new site or I could no longer continue the program. While I was on bed rest by doctors order I couldn't look for one and was kicked out and all my loans and federal loans I had pulled out to attend I had to pay back with out completing the program. I am still finding it hard to pay back everything because now I cannot go back to school to better my education because I cannot pull out any more loans.

While Taking classes online with Everest University, I thought I made the biggest and most exciting place By taking classes with this institution. I have enrolled in the spring summer and fall of 2014, They have Accepted Most of my transcripts That I have transferred over from the previous School that I was attending to, Because of my status of being a mother of a newborn And a two year old. While taking these classes with this institution I have notice That There was something really wall with the reading material that each professor has assigned me. The laptop that they gave me was not functional. To make matters worse for me the USB that came with the laptop, Was not compatible with the laptop. Every time I use this laptop, The whole system shutdown and reboot itself. The USB That I insert Into the laptop Is not reading. It stays In quotation That I need Administrative authorization To go further into using both laptop and USB. The USB was not working with my Desktop neither. I have called tech support, And told them my issue, they stated that they see nothing wrong with my laptop from their end. Not to mention everything that I'm telling you is safe right out of my financial aid money. The material that they were assigned to me at this institution, Turned out to be the same exact word for more material that was given to me from my other institution that I was attending to. To make things more frustrating the material and answer that I have given back to the professors for grading, Their response was not the same response that I have gotten from my previous professors at the other institution. I felt that I was cheated out of my money, I was not satisfied with the material that they assigned me nor the classes, I transfer 65 credits over to this institution for my previous institution That I earned the total of 95 credits. Same major nothing change I was very unhappy with the services. Also within my financial aid statement is saying that I was paying for it in door fee And other thing that I believe that I was not Understanding quite well. When I talking to one of the Student Services, I told them what I saw and my statement their response was you're not being charged that that's just the estimate or what you could be paying if you were To stay within this is the solution But I was not On campus with this institution I was taking classes online With this institution. I felt as if I've been ripped off For just the enrollment And the pay for my financial aid.
