I purchased a stove from New Mexico Fireplace Gallery located at 11105 Menaul in Albuquerque, NM 87112. It was a pellet stove(NM Fireplace Gallery) and the manufacturer, but to no avail and was told I was just a "dumb" blonde who couldn't work the mechanics of the stove.

Subsequently, I drove to the store demanding a refund. Indead, the owner called the cops and tried to have me arrested. I then filed a suit against hime in the Bernalillo court system. I attended 3 hearing and the 4th I missed due to the fact that no notice was sent, so case dropped.

Now, I am out over 2,000. and have no stove. In addition, Duvera was notified of the mal-functioning stove as well as the return and ordered to Cease and Desiste trying to obtain payment. Instead they issued a report on my credit which has hurt my credit score terribly. They are both frauds...watch out for both.

They cancel your 90 day payment plan and charge you all the interest since the first day if you miss a payment (tried calling them to change debit cards, their phone service sucks. Probably to delay payments as much as possible to acrue the interest). On top of a late fee of course. Neither them, nor the business that used them (Furniture Warehouse) mentioned this very important aspect of the contract.

I wanted to get my kids a puppy. We found the perfect dog at a puppy store. they were asking $800. I didn't have that kind of money on hand so we had decided not to get her that is until they offered to finance us through DUVERA. The pet store misled me on how much I would be financed on and when I reviewed my contract I found that this finance company was attempting to charge me an interest rate of 189%. I immediately called my military instilation's legal office. I went over a few different legal acts that were set into place to protect active duty military personnel from predetory lendors. I emailed DUVERA and they called me back and basically told me very rudely that they didnt care of I was active duty or that the laws set in place forbid them from charging me over 36% interest. They found a loop hole and will continue to charge me what they please. I am still trying to figure out if my legal office can help me but I am completely ashamed of this company. They are true scam artists and the woman who called to let me know they found a loop hole was very rude and had a bad attitude. I hope the sleeze people who run and work for this company have a great christmas. my family sure wont considering, out of an $800 loan I will end up paying out $2,400 which will put $1,600 in this companies pocket. Your welcome! I'm fighting for your right to rip off hardworking American people DUVERA!

My husband and I each financed $500 with Duvera to have our car fixed. We were told by the auto shop where the vehicle was repaired that after 90 days, Duvera would start charging interest at a ridiculous rate of 199%. So they encouraged us to pay off the full amount before then. So far, we have paid a total of $400, with another 30 days to pay off the remaining $600. I went to check our account activity online, and it showed that we each owed a principal balance of $467 a piece. I couldn't believe it! I double checked my bank account just to make sure the payments we made came out, which they did. I then looked more in depth into my account active for Duvera, and they were charging interest! I looked into the company further, and it turns out they have an F rating with the BBB (with whom I will also be filing a report) along with many other billing issues from numerous consumers. This company is a rip-off! I will be calling them first thing tomorrow morning! Sydnie Avondale, AZ
