June 18th 2016 I purchased my vehicle with DriveTime, it was a 2014 Ford Fiesta with 50,323. My vehicle makes this weird sounds a week after i purchase it Drivetime said its nothing. October 4, 2017 my vehicle would not start, transmission light came one, finally after 30mins it started up again. October 5, 2017 i called Averex which is my warrenty people and informed them that my car was doing some weird things and would not start last night, they gave me the near by locations and i went to Pepboys in Kingwood, TX. He ran a diagnostic test and nothing popped up code: 888888, nothing about my transmission nothing at all. It was weird so i left and didnt worry about it. Got my oil change as normal. November 3, 2017 my car tire pressure light comes on , i take it to discount tires and put air in it. Head to my friend house and hang out for about 30mins. Come back to my vehicle get in and drive off , right side of my vehicle starts smoking, I get out and im a woman, i dont really know about cars so i get out confused, pop the hood and look.

(the thing that looks like a jug, possibly radiator area) starts over flowing with liquids. I nice gentlemen comes over and tell me that i need to put water in there and let it run and get to the nearest auto repair, in the process of my driving to a repair place my car shuts off while i am in drive, will not move anything, so a guy who works at tripple A offered to tow me to the nearest gas station. I do not have towing insurance, i am in a panic because i am not sure what to do. I call Averex to ask for the nearest auto shop , which would be meineke auto shop Staffod,TX let me mind you i was visiting a friend , I live in Humble,TX. So the guy from Tripple A offered to tow me to that shop for a small fee, so i allowed it to happen and i got to the shop paid the tow guy and checked in for my vehicle, did all my paper work. Had to leave my vehicle and be picked up by a family member.

Saturday November 4, 2017 A guy from Meineke calls and tell me that from the looks of it i need a engine replacement, my whole motor is no good and need to be replaced, i said wow okay, he put in a claim to Averex. Monday Nov 6th claim was approved. They ordered the parts and they arrived 9th or the 10th. Meineke gave me the run arounds about the time my vehicle would be finished i did not get my vehicle back until Nov 29th 2017. Once i got my car back i noticed alot of rocking with the engine. Here we are December 11th i leave out for work and my vehicle will not start, i had to get a jump start so me thinking okay its my battery. I take it to Autozone for them to test the battery..... He said it said "good battery" so what in the heck he did a diagnostic test code: NO CODE literly nothing at all. I showed him my paper work from the previous repair it seem that they REPLACED the Engine on paper but the cost did not add up. A messaged popped up on my screen in my car "Transmission Fault Service Now" if you replaced the whole engine thats almost like a brand new car, the guy informed me that something looks fishy about that. So he told me to call my Insurance to confirm they replaced the whole engine.

I called they said it was replaced i informed them the problems, they said the whole engine was replaced and the radiator and etc. so i informed them about the Transmission message, she said if its a new problem a new claim needs to be made but take it back the repair shop that serviced it. okay 12/12/2017 my vehicle acts as if it dont want to start, Transmission light comes on, Engine light comes on SERVICE NOW complete bull. I am pissed i dont know what to do. even as i tried to trade in before the car has messed up my value is extremly low. Drive time got over on me the car is $13, 395 - Financed at $17,922 in total i would be paying back $25,161 Note is $430 a month $216.62 every two weeks. You do the math, that was a bull and they all giving me a hard time about my vehicle they dont even have loaner cars which is a bunch of bull. I have automatic payments set , never been late and this is how i am treated i cant wait to get rid of this vehicle. I need some cooperation from all parties, I pay to much for this. I have a total of 75,560 miles on my car.

I purchased a vehicle from Drivetine in October of 2013. The car was a 2004 Acura TL with 92000 miles on it. I had to put 1800 dollars on this car. The check engine light came on two days later which was caused by a catalytic converter. Which was NOT COVERED UNDER THEIR WARRANTY. It is now 2016 and these people are still saying that I owe almost 20000 dollars on this car. This is ridiculous. I will admit that there were some late payments, but to still owe 20000 dollars on a 2004 is OUTRAGEOUS!!! I would not advise this company for ANYONE!!!!!! PLEASE BEWARE!!!! I am thinking of ways to boycott the company because it seems as if they are growing!!!!!! Please do NO BUY FROM DRIVETIME!!! It is the worst mistake EVER!!!!!!! I've paid over 14000 dollars into a 2004 Acura TL and I'm still OWING almost 20000 dollars!!!!!! Whatever you do, DO NOT PURCHASE FROM DRIVETIME! I repeat, DRIVETIME!!!!!

My car was wrongfully repossessed on Saturday November 7, 2015. Once DriveTime discovered it was an error on their part, I was told my car would be returned to me. After waiting 3 days, I decided to go and pick up my car from the dealership it was taken to. About 1 week after getting my car back, I began having issues with it. The car would not shift out of park and a few mechanical issue lights would come on. The issues would come and go. Finally, on Tuesday December 15, 2015, I called Aeverex, the warranty company for DriveTime. I was told to take my car to their in-network mechanic (RMG Auto Repair located in Calumet City, IL). My car was looked at by the mechanic on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 and the diagnostic report was sent to the warranty company the same day. I was told that it could take anywhere from 24-48 hours for review. It is now Monday, December 21, 2015 (5 days or 120 hours later) and I continue to get the run around from DriveTime. No one has any answers for me. I keep getting transferred to departments and no one will tell me what department I am speaking with. Once I finally did speak with someone who had more information for me, they tried to tell me that they would not cover all costs even though these issues are their fault. They could only provide "limited assistance". They've given me limited assistance this entire process. DriveTime is totally unprofessional and unhelpful in every way imaginable. I am completely dissatisfied with the lack luster service I am receiving and wish I had never purchased a vehicle through their company. I want everyone who is considering doing business with them to be fully aware of just how horrible my experience has been. If I were late making a payment, DriveTime would be calling me multiple times in one day. However, since DriveTime is at fault here, I am not being assisted. This is totally unacceptable and has negatively impacted my personal and professional life. It is my hope that I can prevent any future customers from being victimized by DriveTime’s fraudulent and neglectful business practices.

I purchased a 2007 dodge nitro in April of 2015 from DriveTime formly known as BridgeCrest now. I can say I hated that truck and never had the chance to enjoy it because the first week I had the truck I was putting money into it. From going to the mechanic, going to the dodge dealer, my insurance company having to send out so many tows. The first week I got it, it started making a loud noise, take it to the mechanic they tell me the wheels were so loose if I would of been going over 70 mph on the highway the wheel would of fell off. One day the car started smelling like gas so much I couldnt be in it and I defiantly couldn't put my nephew in it. Get it towed to the mechanic, something happen to where my gas was leaking in my engine and that was within the first 3 months of the car. I call the warranty to company and tell them everything I need, they proceed to argue with the mechanic and told me I can't get the car fixed their because he isn't a real mechanic. AFTER they checked his buisness online. I then take my truck to the dodge dealer and they end up fixing it. Truck was gone for a week. Mind you throughout the entire year, my mechanic and tow trucks kept telling me to get rid of the truck it's no good and it's not safe. Another time my air wouldn't work and it was July. Very hot in July living in IL. Go to the dodge dealer and they contacted the warranty company and then a blower motor etc had to be replaced. Another time I need outlooks pieces for my engine, the warranty company Said it was not covered and I told them it doesn't matter you guys need to fix this because I haven't had the car for over 6 months. The car throughout the year just would not start. Spring. Summer, fall. Winter. Doesn't matter when it would just stop. Had to get it towed or they came to my house. Had to get brand new tires on it and that shouldn't have needed to happen for at least another year or around winter. The mechanic honestly saw me at least 3 times a month for this dodge nitro. Finally it got so bad and I got tired of putting money into a car that I was paying 450$ for a month. I finally told them they needed to get me a new car because this truck was unsafe. They told me I needed to owe a certain amount and owed to much on the car still. I said IDC your giving me another car from the same company so it shouldn't be a problem. Well finally I went to a dealer. I was considered upside down which means I owed more on my car then my car was actually worth. But this dealer specialized in upside down cars and they took me out of that death trap. The Chevy dealer told me they truck was a piece of s**t and there was to many problems. When I took the truck to the dealer, the EBS, ABS, break light, check engine light were all on. There is no reason why I should of gone through as much as I did with that truck within ONE year and majority of my problems were the first 6 months of me having my truck. I was constantly calling customer service. Constantly talking to managers/supervisors. The company employees are so d**n rude it's ridiculous. My family new how bad my truck was and they knew if I ever got into an accident cause of that truck and I died. They knew to sue DriveTime/ Bridgecrest because they did nothing to help me. They were only worried about their money. I am gonna contact the better business bureau. Even if nothing happens, no one should get a car from here and I would never recommend people to go their. I deter people from their. DriveTime is horrible and there cars are not reliable what so ever. The employees are not reliable either. I know that they know they are selling bad cars. I am blessed to be out of that death trap. Paying all they money for a truck that is literally a piece of s**t

I purcahsed a vehicle from Drivetime aka Bridgecrest in December 2015. I paid 1800 down and they made it seem so easy to purchase the vehicle. I drove the vehicle and started noticing sputtering. This is a Ford Expedition so you can imagine how it jerked. I called back to let Brandon my salesman know what was going on and he never responded to my calls. They referred me to Averex such a ripoff warranty company. No one will close these people down it is a scam! The warranties never cover what is going on. Two months after having the truck the problem was worse and I told them that they could have it back they refuse to take the vehicle back. They call and harrass me about payment with a vehicle that us inoperable! I can go on and on about this place but it wont make a difference I hope they are closed down SOON!

Purchased vehicle 4/14/16 with no issues and amazing efficiency. Well, now I know why. The vehicle stranded me on the side of the road on 5/25/16. Warranty company, Aeverex, referred me to nearest approved vendor (Pep Boys) for service and towing. Tow was supposed to happen within an hour but vehicle wasnt picked up until 7 hours later...thats a whole other story though. Warranty with Aeverex will not cover anything. Instructed to call the loan company. Tamisha (sp) at Bridgecrest confirmed I would have to pay out of pocket $1278 for a vehicle I have had less than 45 days and barely driven 500 miles. She basically explained how it wasn't her problem and agreed to "escalate" it to a manager for review but it would likely take 5 days for an answer due to Memorial Holiday. I explained this was unacceptable and she basically said too bad. She also told me that I could back out of loan without affecting my credit but I would not receive my $1000 down payment back. In fact, I may owe more money because they would charge me $1/mile for each that Ive driven since purchase! I then called corporate and spoke with Ashley in Customer Relations who said she would have to request estimate "to see" if there was anything she could do. I stressed that I wanted to file a formal complaint and she babbled abt documenting the situation at her level. For a first-time customer with DriveTime, this is a very unfair situation. I do not have anyone to drive me around, I work downtown, I just started a new job and I lost my other vehicle during the floods April 2016. I paid $1000 down for a vehicle advertised as 'rigorously inspected and reliable' which is hardly the case if it's already inoperable. To add insult to injury, Ashley says the information about backing out of the loan is incorrect and it will show as a voluntary repossession. Regret, regret, regret.

So not go, there online application is a bait tactics. They discuss you personal information with other unknown people. Plus they are very rude and unprofessional. They lied and told me my credit score was lower than it actually was so th hey can get an higher interest rate and higher down payment. I'm contacting the attorney general next.

I purchased the vehicle for $29000 with $5000 down. When I went to pick the vehicle up a large amount of smoke came from the exhaust when I started it and every time I started it there after. I called the next day to let them know. They insisted it was because it was cold outside and perhaps the vehicle had just been sitting. 2 weeks later as me and my kids are driving to a festival the check engine light and low oil pressure light comes on. I immediately pull over to google what that means and how serious it was. Google said it was one of the worst things that can happen to that vehicle so I called DriveTime right away. The gave me a shop to take it to. We went to firestone as told and firestone said the vehicle had less than 1/3 of a quart of oil and it appeared as tho the vehicle had never had an oil change and recommended the entire engine be flushed. The cost of the oil change was $106 and they did not do engine flushes at their facility and recommend I find someone that does. I then called drivetime to tell them what the report said. They said they would not reimburse me for the oil and that I would have to pay that myself.

The following day I have to take my kids home to their mother which is a 90 min drive each direction. While on I4 the same things happens, however this time we are on a busy highway and I am not about to risk the safety of my kids lives and be on the side of I4 with cars doing 80+ MPH so I drove to the nearest exit and parked the vehicle at 7-11 and Hilton Hotel. My ex had to drive to come get the kids and I had to take an uber home, $58 dollars later I make it home. The following day I let DriveTime know what had happened and they said its under SilverRock warranty to call them to handle it. SilverRock said to tow it to the nearest facility and that once again I needed to pay for that. $177 to tow the vehicle in which they said they will reimburse $75 of that cost. I then had to fex ex the keys to the shop which was another $38. Upon calling Drive Time they said they will not reimburse me.

I told their customer service if they would pay for just the last tow I would not file complaints or sue them. They said too bad too sad, they sold me a car in which NEVER had an oil change and only 1/3 of a court of oil, they lied about inspecting the vehicle, there was NO OIL LEAK AT ALL, it simply had never been changed

We bought a 2011 Buick Enclave on January 28th 2022 and when we went over the specifics of the vehicle and we were told that the car had 4 brand new tires (the first lie) it had passed inspections and it was brand new to the lot so they had just made sure everything was working! February 10th Not even after a month we had to replace the engine and they gave us an older rebuilt engine!

We got the car back March 3rd then shortly after the car started doing this shakey rattling feeling when driven! So once we got a flat on May 30thwe took it to get a tire replaced and firestone let us know that all four tires were unsafe to drive and needed to be replaced asap and the dealer shouldn't have sold us the car in that condition!

Now here are in July 12th 2022 and our car had engine failure and completely stopped a mile away from our home! it was leaking transmission fluid everywhere! The car is in back in the shop for the 3rd time before we even hit 6 months of having the car! The car had 83K Miles when we bought it maybe the first red flag but we needed a family car unfortunately!

This car screams lemon and we don't want this car anymore its dangerous and nothing but problems! According to Nevada lemon law this car meets the criteria and we need either a refund or a replacement ASAP!

I bought a used car from them that turned out to have an open recall that was not addressed. I also bought a warranty. The car died and there is no help from the manufacturer (Hyundai) (because the recall item was not addressed) or from Drive Time.

I am stuck renting a car for thousands of dollars and the engine has to be replaced. Drive Time disclaims all responsibility for this, when they sold me the car and the warranty.

  • Apr 14, 2020

This company committed fraud against me. I was told in order to get a car I had to sign up for a warranty package that cost $5,285 and required a 70-month repayment at $433.48. However, I was told that if I canceled the warranty within 30 days my loan would then revert to 42 months at a payment of $431.61.

I canceled and they are still holding me to a 70-month contract. This business is supposed to help people that have a hard time getting auto loans instead they exploit us and commit fraud!

Before coming here to file this yscam i want to let you know i have tried multiple times to deal directly with drivetime and bridgecrest. They offered no assistance. I am planning to hire an attorney to file a suit against drivetime.

I have multiple complaints about the way they conducted business with me. Add ons i didn’t request but were added onto the cost of the vehicle that increased the amount financed those add ons included the extended warranty cost $3555.00, gap insurance cost $1035.00, motion gps cost $695.00. The cost of the car was 10,803.42 after the taxes and added warranties, insurance and a gps system the total financed was $15,956.84 and financed for 67 months. I am 76 years old and on a fixed income, i am not even sure i will be here for another 5 1/2 years. I feel like the salesmen took advantage of my lack of knowledge regarding the car cost and what they were financing. I had to trust them. I ask a lot of questions about the cars condition, any recalls, car fax info, condition of tires, battery and if they did an oil change. They assured me the car was in excellent condition. I wanted to be sure the car had been checked out completely, that it was in good mechanical condition with no issues that were going to come up within 2 or 3 months, and also i wanted to know that it was going to be a reliable car that i could count on for doctors visits and other errands a 76 year old has. Turns out the car isn’t in good or safe working condition.

The day after i brought it home the check engine light came on. I called drivetime and expressed my concern that it already had this problem. I wanted to take the car back. The salesman told me i had to the end of weekend to return the car for a refund and cancel the contract. Well when i expressed my concern they told me to take the car to their preferred warranty repair shop which was a pep boys. We spent the entire day at pep boys. I cannot remember exactly what they said was wrong. Maybe the oxygen sensor. They had to wait for the part and they got the check engine light off. I still wanted to return the car i just had a bad feeling. They didn’t require me to pay the $100 deductible for this visit as i had had the car less than 24 hours. When i brought the car home i still could hear a loud roaring sound in the car and the ac did not cool well. I really wish i had taken it back before the 1500/one month warranty. And i did try, but i was always advised i had to call bridgecrest now that the financing had been done through them. It’s like they weren’t listening that i didn’t want to keep the car or they didn’t care.

Turns out my bad feelings were correct. I kept hearing a loud rumbling sound on the drivers side of the car. When i ask about this sound i was dismissed that it’s was the road or something that didn’t make sense to me. Well i don’t drive it very often or on the freeway, but when my granddaughter drove the car she said it sounded awful. My daughter also said she didn’t like the sound of the car. So as it was time to take it to the car in for an oil change that is when we found out not only what the horrible roaring sound was but that also that the oil could not be drained to add new oil. The mechanic i took it to said whomever did the oil change at drivetime That’s what the sticker shows - drivetime) had used a pneumatic wrench on the oil pain and had stripped the nut that you loosen to drain the oil. He said it would need a new oil pan. Turns out the roaring noise was a bad drivers side wheel bearing assembly kit. Also, the mechanic advised that someone had used duct tape on the inside of the motor on the manifold and some of the hoses. The mechanic said that he would return this car to drivetime and give them the keys. He said it was a hazard to drive and that i should file a lawsuit. He said that he was very familiar with drivetimes practices of selling cars that were not up to acceptable mechanic standards and they override computer sensors to get the car to just sell.

Now i have refused to pay for this car and told them to come get it. I tried to explain to both the local drivetime and bridgecrest the condition of the car. Drivetime refers me to bridgecrest who then refers me to silverrock which is only a recording with the website to set up a repair. As far as i can tell the oil pan situation is not covered under the warranty. The wheelbearing assembly kit is. But there is the deductible and i fear this car has far more problems. How could a car dealer sell a car in this condition to a senior citizen? The mechanic said i could have been killed. Also, if the oil pan is not replaced the oil cannot be drained and new oil added, which will crack the engine block i have been told. I am very upset about this and i want drivetime to give me my money back and i will go elsewhere. The car payment is over $421, i could have bought a new car with a lower payment.

Me and my Fiance went to Drive Time in Morrow Ga to purchase a vehicle. The beginning was good. The original sales Rep Tye was off the day I went to make the final purchase. Ralph completed the sales transaction for Tye. The first trouble sign I saw was the Fact that Ralph gave me a key fob which comes out like a switchblade. The key was very loose, slightly bent and not secured. I specifically ask Ralph for another key because the key is going to break. Ralph tells me Drive Time does not have another key and to take the malfunctioning key to the Ford dealer and they will fix it. I trusted my salesman Ralph and didn't think he would lie to me. So I leave the dealer with the car. I noticed that a plastic vinyl floor cover on the driver side only. I turn on the AC and noticed a lil fog but was told by the GM they shampooed the Driver side floor. Several weeks go by and I decided to vacuum the car. I removed the plastic from the floor. I leave and go run some errands and of course in Ga it is very hot so I turn on the Air condition. While driving I noticed my feet soaking with water. Apparently it was a leak because water only comes through floor when I turn on the AC. Due to the leak my radio dash lights started to fade and the steering wheel dash started to fade.

The Drive, Reverse and Park lights started to flicker on and off constantly. So I call SilverRock the warranty Company and was advised to take it to the locations in network and I did, to only get refused service. Now I'm frustrated, crying and upset because I just bought the car just a few days at the 30 day mark and I can't get the issue fixed. I go to Drive Time and speak to the GM and was told that basically I had 5 days to return the car. Then the key break in the ignition why cranking it up. I make it to the dealer for them to tell me Ralph the sales Rep completely lied. The Ford dealer will not fix the lil clamp. I have to get a new key $300. I call Drive Time speak to Ralph and he boldly says he don't remember the conversation we had about the key. I was so upset because a human should take responsibility for their mistake when it comes to doing business. I called Bridgecrest. The Bank spoke to Jeff in the Corporate dept. Jeff put me in a unwind process which is the loan and total deal is erased like it never happened, it will not show as a repo on my credit. This was the blessing in all this. Jeff also sent the Tow truck to pick the car up from my house to take it back to Drive Time. This was the worst experience I have ever encountered when purchasing car. I was so sick physically after all of the mistreatment. I will never recommend anyone to buy a vehicle with Drive Time in Morrow, Ga. DO NOT deal with Ralph. He only cares about the sale and will say anything to make you feel good but when it's time to deliver it's nonexistence. Not to mention everyone you call is completely rude. Nicole who is a manager at Drive Time is rude also.

We bought a car from Drivetime about 2 years ago. Starter went out 6 months later, their horrible warranty only pays for THE PART. I had to pay for a new battery and the labor, and waited for HOURS because they took their sweet time sending the information. When he sent the wrong info they didn't even contact the shop. Got it inspected and spent nearly $1,000 because the lower arm control valves were BROKEN. before they came and repoed as we lost income and was paying bit by bit, the transmission was starting to go. When we signed the papers they said it comes with a GPS and that they don't track it but we can. LIARS. Repo guy said he was tracking our movements. Glad they took it away. Drive time is a RIPOFF

I PURCHASED A HYUNDAI ELANTRA A YEAR AGO FROM DRIVE TIME IN LOMBARD BAD MOVE ON MY PART. WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR IT NEEDED SOME WORK DONE TO IT BUT DUE TO ME HAVING TO GET BACK AND FORTH TO WORK I HAD TO WAIT A WHILE BEFORE THE 30 DAYS WAS UP FOR ME TO GET THE WORK DONE THEY WOULDN'T EVEN HONOR THEIR OWN WARRANTY CAUSING ME TO HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET. LATER DOWN THE LINE I GET SICK WITH CERVICAL CANCER SO I GET BEHIND ON MY PAYMENTS AND HAD TO COME UP WITH 1300.00 TO GET THE CAR BACK NOW I HAVE THE CAR BACK IN MY POSSESSION. THEY ARE CALLING ME THREATING ME TO REPOSESS THE CAR AGAIN BECAUSE THE PAYMENT WAS DUE ON THE 5TH I EXPLAINED TO THE LADY I GET PAID ON THE 16TH AND CAN PAY THEN SHE GOT LOUD WITH ME AND TOLD ME I DONT HAVE A GRACE PERIOD AND ALL. SO SHE PUT THE CAR ON THE REPOSESSION LIST. YOU MEAN TO TELL ME YOU CANT WAIT FOR 5 DAYS FOR A PAYMENT AND EVERY MONTH I WILL GET HARASSED AND THREATENED TO TAKE MY MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION FROM A COMPANY WHO IS ALREADY OVER CHARGING FOR THE CAR. II JUST THINK THIS IS A HORRIBLE WAY TO DO BUSINESS I UNDERSTAND THE PAYMENT IS ON ME BUT WHY THREATEN ME AND IT'S PROBABLY NOT A THREAT THEY TOOK THE CAR BEFORE AND WILL TAKE IT AGAIN AND THEN HAVE TO PAY ALL THOSE FEES TO GET IT BACK. I MEAN I AM TRYING I AM LIVING PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK AND DO NOT LIKE BEING HARASSED VIA PHONE.

PLEASE PEOPLE STAY AWAY FROM DRIVE TIME/BRIDGECREST

THEY ALSO PUT SOME FORM OF GPS ON THE CAR WITHOUT TELLING YOU AND WILL TAKE THE CAR FROM ANYWHERE.

Rip off. The government needs to regulate them charging consumers and taking advantage of people.

I'm not pleased with this company, the car lot seemed great deals but in reality they were lemons. The whole process seem to real and easy. When filing the paper work the car salesman kept hitting on me and calling me and it felt unwelcome, and kept texting me. They didn't explain to me i had to make two car payments a month which was crazy because when you buy a new car it is not like that. Customer care was not friendly and not willing to work out payments. The car needed to be fixed so many times and where they tell you to take it they made it worst. The car is inactive and now stuck with long huge payments.

I went to drive time to lease a van which was under $300 a month, after all must a year they called said they no longer did leases? i had no other car , so they stated i could trade van in for car, which i could buy making payments. when i bought van in as trade i had to also give them cash, and my payments went to over $400 a month. being weather and not have another car i had no other way of getting to and from work or any where. these payments where to high which they stated would go down after making 6 payments, never happen. went to my bank to get them to buy car , which would make payment lower then drive time, bank stated car was priced more then blue book value and they couldn’t take over loan. so today drive time came and got car, i can’t pay $400 on used car . so now i will lose my job Thanks Drive Time

On April 20th 2016 I purchased a car from DriveTime. I immediately noticed that there were mechanical problems with the vehicle and brought it back to the dealership to return the vehicle. I was coerced into letting them address the issues. They sent the car to their repair shop. Initially I was given a wheel alignment and then informed all I needed was "New" rear wheels because the ones I had were bent, leaning inward. As a woman and a non mechanic I thought oh that sounds simple and yes please give me new wheels! A few months after purchasing the vehicle I began to have one repair issue after another. The car was not dependable and I began to question if the car had been inspected at all. DriveTime says all their vehicles undergo a 21 point inspection for quality assurance, which as a woman made me very comfortable with the purchase and why I paid THOUSANDS more for the vehicle than suggested because I "thought" I paying for a safe vehicle for myself and child.

I began to call DriveTime and inform them that I know I was sold a car with major mechanical issues and I felt I had been preyed upon as a woman and as a consumer. Drivetime asked me to take the vehicle to a mechanic of my choice to have it inspected. I was told that my wheels were tilted in again and found out that my airshock suspension system needed to be replaced. I told the mechanic that DriveTime/Averex replaced the wheels when I bought it. He asked what happened to the car and did they fix the issue.... I'm dumbfounded. What do you mean Mr. Mechanic? Well he says the wheels bend for one of two reasons either there is a collision or there is a suspension problem and just putting on new rear wheels wouldn't fix either of those. So I tell Drivetime and Averex that this was never repaired properly by them when they claimed to have fixed it and that they had me and my 10 yr old driving around for the last 1.5 yrs in an unsafe vehicle. $4500 repair DENIED! I need a lawyer!

In 2013 Dec.13 I went to Carmax to purchase a vehicle with an approval from ROADLOANS for a loan up to 35,000.00 for a vehichle 2010 and up with no more than 110,000 miles. We could not get a deal done at carmax so we asked the sales rep to printout our approval he did and we took our loan to DriveTime. We got there 9am did not leave until 10 minuets to closing. After choosing the car I was badgered for hours about a down payment Here’s the case in point... DriveTime sales rep lead us me and my fiancee’ to believe that He was processing the loan through road loans and we were dealing with Santander Bank . When really the paperwork was processed through there finance dept. Now years later when I need to explore my refinancing options I’m lead to believe this is done through Road Loans so I call Road Loans to find out what bank they use. Yes! They use Santander bank but Santander bank has no retention of any records of your concerns. So we back track and talk to Road Loans , Yes! there is the loan application an approval it’s still on Road Loans records amd They will even tell the loan was never used Hm I find out now after that Bridgecrest now DT finance dept is the loaner for the car. Let’s get this str-8 I give you a loan You take the loan set it to the side Process a loan through your company I find out years later You would figure I have no arguement wrong They will fraudulently sell you insurance you do not need at the time of purchase because you have to have it insured before it leaves the lot And There are terms in every contract that allow reference to refinancing read them in these terms for an issue such as this to arise I must wait until I meet these terms in my case I must pay down the principal on the car to like 5,000.00 then I can refine Again this is years later so the issue is tolling I meet the terms to refinance But... I’m not dealing with the bank I’m dealing with DT I would like to know just how many others out there are in the same boat Let’s Class Act

I brought a car from drive time last year. Within the year, the car has been in the shop twice. Which I to pay for. All parts I have had to buy out of pocket and pay for the re po airs. Within the last month, I have paid for a repair on a major pulley. A brand new battery. And a alternator. Which I also have to buy and pay to get it put in. That's doesn't include tires and other things that went wrong with the car. The first six months in me having the car. My A/C locked up. Water was dripping inside the car. Later down the road a new exhaust system had to be done. And nuthn is covered by the warranty. That is suppose to cover bumper to bumper. I have only put 32,000 on the car. Very upset. They want let trade for a new car or anything unless I come up with another down payment. Drive time and Averex are scam artists.

I got my car April 2016 not even 30 days while driving to work the engine light came on and also on the screen it popped up a/c shutting off due to engine over heating. I pulled over and called drivetime then the warranty people. Had to have car towed to the shop. Water pump went out and whole list of other stuff. Car was in the shop for 3 days. Got the car back it was driving ok now here comes Sept 2017 boom same thng happen to me again! Engine light comes on a/c shutting off due to engine over heating on my way to work again. Look under my hood while at work and all the coolant is gone. Put some in and all the coolant was coming out. Once again had to take it to the shop and its the water pump again and another problem as well, and this time i had to come out of my pocket. Took the car to the shop on a Thursday waited from 9am-302pm to get it fixed. Engine light off car okay then boom Sunday the engine light came back on again!

Now i have to take the car back to the shop once again!!!!!!! This is the 3 time 2 water pumps and a whole list of other things had to be done! But this the killing part, while looking in my glove department i came across this piece of paper with read MECHANICAL INSPECTIONS with my vin and make of model with DRIVETIME on the paper. The date on when they did everything which was in march i got the car in april! The paper had ENGINE LIGHT ON, LEAKS (OTHER) MULTI

My mouth dropped. I talked to someone and told them about the paper i found and i guess he thought i was lying and he wanted me to email a picture of it. Like i told them yall sold me a lemon and knew this car had problems way before i even got the car. All he can say about the paper was it wasnt suppose to be in the car, but guess what it was and i know this paper going to go a long way! Game over DRIVE TIME its time to close shop. Way to many peoples are getting cheated out of their money and its not right!

Purchased a car from them in 2015. Had no credit (nothing derogatory just nothing) I needed a new and they had the best selection. I chose a good car that I really liked but that is not the issue. I did not want the GPS nor the extended warranty but my interest rate would have gone up as would my payment which was already astronomical. So I felt I had no choice. The GPS DID not work where I lived and after much arguing they finally applied it towards principal. Fast forward 18 months. My credit improved dramatically but I couldn'the refinance because I was so upside down. When I left the dealership I was given a folder with all my paperwork. Or so I thought. I started looking closer at my account and realized I had been given several refunds and when I called to find out why was told state licensing refunds. Checked with the state and nope, not from them. When I called about the interest I had paid before they refunded the money they didn't seem to understand why I wanted "pennies". I pushed back and my pennies was $100. They said it was a one time but they would refund the interest. When they refunded the interest they applied it as a normal payment which means more interest. When I called and after a long conversation they finally applied it towards the principal. (Never did find out what it was for) I started looking thru my paperwork more closely. They also emailed me that (or so I thought) but I downloaded it anyways. When I found cancellation forms for the GAP and Extended Warranty I asked my credit union about it. Was told it was illegal for them to raise the interest rate if I refused. (Of course my word against theirs although I know of others even in different states also). I read thru the cancellation paperwork, filled it out and mailed it certified. Within 30 days I had approximately $2600 applied to my principal. This lowered my payoff enough that I was able to get a brand new car, much much lower interest rate and a payment that was over $150 cheaper per month. I'm not done with them yet but at least I no longer have to pay them. If you purchased a car from them and had to get the extended warranty you can cancel. I didn't know it was illegal but if I had seen the cancellation forms I would have cancelled the next day. They were not in the packet given to me when I left but were in the emailed packet. If you have purchased from them, review your account regularly online and compare what was given to you and what was emailed to you. I get the feeling that they know the law well enough to walk the line carefully. But, as far as ethics go, not so much. JMO

I've emailed back and forth with the customer service department at Drivetime for the past week or two. The lady I emailed with encouraged me to contact my local drivetime and that they would get me in a vehicle. Given the local drivetime is an hour and a half away, I was leery of just showing up to find that things wouldn't go well. I called the "local" drivetime and explained my situation. He said to bring my info and my wife's info up there and we could get a minivan or SUV using both of our info. I was concerned since she had just purchased her car from drivetime in February so I was surprised that she could qualify for another car again so soon but he said it would be fine and we needed a van so we made the trek up there today. We had to get a special babysitter since my son has special needs; it's a big deal. We get there and apparently I had called another "local" location because they didn't know what I was talking about with regards to my info and such. The man who helped us was nice though and looked into it all. He said no, my wife couldn't be on a new loan at all since it had only been a few months. Okay. Then he said he couldn't count the adoption subsidy of over $1600 a month that we receive because it comes in my name and my wife's name. I explained that they didn't use that towards her income when she bought her car but I guess that didn't matter. He did tell me I could do a lease vehicle and there were two I could pick from. They weren't at his location but at another "local" location about 45 minutes away. He had me and my wife go with another employee up to the other location to pickup one of the two vehicles.

To say they were in rough condition would be a gross understatement. The first vehicle smelled...bad. The door handles in the backseat had been chewed up from what I'm assuming was a dog. The seats were stained, the headliner was stained, the exterior looked like it had been beaten and scraped up. To top it off, it made a horrible beeping noise when we tried to leave with it which caused us to have to stay while someone figured it out. We looked at the other lease vehicle and while it initially looked okay, it too was stained up and somehow was missing the center console lid amongst other issues. I couldn't see paying the over $12K asked for either vehicle so we had to make the long 45 minute trip back to the original location with no vehicle. The original salesman was busy so we stood there for a few minutes thinking the manager (I assume that's who he is) that sat there watching us would offer some sort of apology for the condition of the vehicles but instead nobody said a word to us. I'm assuming there's a lesson to be learned here somehow but I don't know what it is yet. I paid over $80 for a special babysitter; spent most of my day going to, from and all over town, and left feeling embarrassed and stupid for having tried to buy a vehicle. That's not exactly the experience I had hoped for.

Drive time should be out of business and not allowed to change their name to continue to rip off customers. I purchased a car in 2015 and less than 6 months later had to have major repairs. These repairs have not stopped and I'm still obligated to make my monthly payments. I was even informed by two mechanics that the car has been wrecked but no report shows on the car when you search for accidents. I haven't missed any payments for 2 years and still owe 17,000$ on this car. There is nothing for me to do other than continue to make payments without risking damage to my credit which I have worked hard to rebuild. This company was already sued for this type of service and lost millions. I want some assistance to bring this to someone's attention who can take them out of business for good.

  • Jun 7, 2017

In August of 2012 I went to Drivetime to buy a car and needed a consigner so my son cosined to help me get the car but was never told the full amount of the car until after I signed. After making my payments for three months the car broke down on me and I found out that the car was recalled. When I called to see if I can get the payment put behind so I can get the car fixed and they told me no and it ain't their problem.. So I put the car in the shop to get fixed and told them I will be late with the payment and got the car fixed and still had problems with the car because of the recall.

Beware and double check your sales tax and additional fees against what they charged you and what they actually paid. I have discovered, through my own purchase, that these ripoff artists are charging you more in sales tax fees than they are payig to the state. They charged me, just in tax alone, not counting registration and other fees, 1223.11 dollars and they only paid the state 943.44. I have verified this with the Texas Comptrollers office and they have opened an investigation. I am looking at gathering information from other buyers from Texas and other states that they may have done this to in hopes of filing a Class action lawsuit against them. If you have questions, or feel you were defrauded by them overcharging sales tax please contact me at [email protected] Remember that besides them overcharging in taxes , your paying that rediculaous interest on that overcharged amount. Take your purchase price and multiply it by the sales tax rate in your state, Texas is 6.25% and Oklahoma is 3.25%, if that price is lowered than what you paid you were screwed!!!! If there are any Class Action Law firms that would be interested in talking to me please contact me at the same email address [email protected]. Im going to try to get a facebook page started because I really think this is a huge issue.

February 2016 I purchased a 2005 Dodge Durango from Drivetime and unfortunately one week after return date policy, the vehicle began stop at lights, during turns, and accerlarting while in park. The warranty was still active therefore repairs were completed as per their designated Mechanic Action Gator. However, 3 days later problem recurred prompting a referral to a Dodge dealer. While completing paperwork with service manager witnessed RPM accerlation. They kept the vehicle for 3 days without finding cause. It is now 1 year later, warranty has expired and issue has reoccurred. I have called the warranty department (per instructions from Bridgecrest/Drivetime) to submit a warranty claim only to be told basically it is not their problem. In essence the vehicle was never repaired as the issue has returned. I was told vehicle met their highest standards and was not listed on a recall list. I am now stuck with a vehicle that poses danger to my life and family.

I am trading in a truck from drive time for a new truck at a different dealership, At this new dealership they had to redo the paperwork because drive time says the payoff is more than originally stated by drive time. Drive time is saying that I owe 2 payments instead of 1 which makes it more for the payoff of my old vehicle. Therefore I cannot trust Drive Time. If you are getting a vehicle through drive time please be extra careful. I would not wish this trouble on anybody.

I purchased a car from DriveTime 9 months ago I was only able to drive the car for two months nonconsecutively from the first week till now the car has been in an out of the mechanic we were advised by the mechanic that drive time pretty much sold us a lemon there was extensive rust damage the spark plugs were held in with liquid metal and the upper engine needed work the check engine light was on the first month the car stop starting all together in the third we sent it in to be fixed and drive time will only approve the bare minimum so when we get it home no more than two days later the car will stop running and is sent back to the mechanic each time we send it in drive time low balls us and we end up having to bring it back paying a hundred dollar deductible everytime when I'm on the phone with DriveTime customer service they become very aggressive unresponsive and deflect most issues I got my car back from The Mechanics for the 7th time this time however it starts but it won't pass smog I've been paying $500 a month for a car that I don't have with little help from drive time.

Only had car 7 months and Covetter and O2 sensers failed and actually caught fire Despite having a Warranty, Averex told the repair shop they won't honor Warranty despite safety hazard and failure under warranty What legal options are there for those in this situation? I just want the repair required for the car to run and be safe Thank you

  • Feb 2, 2017

I purchased a car at Drive Time in San Antonio, TX almost a year ago. It hasn't been in the shop for repairs as of yet but is in DIRE need of service. I called Averex to get a specific on what is / isn't covered by warranty because The front driver's side of my car is making a loud, grinding noise. The warranty rep just simply stayed "that's not covered on your warranty," so I hung up on him. Knowing they force you to take your car to a repair shop in order to have it analyzed, I got an expert opinion while getting my oil changed to verify my assumption of the noise & was correct.

Now I'm stuck with figuring out how to get this fixed, where to get this fixed but more importantly why doesn't the warranty that I paid / am paying over $3000 for... And is it possible to have it removed from my contract since it's pointless?!? I'm paying $400.00 a month for a 2010 Ford Fusion! Over $20,000 for an $8,000 dollar car! Im on the verge of telling them to pick up the ***** car. I REFUSE to deal with jerks anymore! DON'T buy a car from Drive Time. They sell you on the fact that they have a warranty, but they find ways to get out of paying for repairs. Tell everyone you know!!

  • Jan 23, 2017

Do not work for these people. Do you not buy their cars. Do not use their Finance companies. If you work for them and they let you go they deny all of your unemployment benefits. They use Charities like Ronald McDonald to take your money and make car payments poor DriveTime employees that can't make them or they make payments for people that don't make payments on their cars this is fraudulent and it needs to be stopped. And the unemployment benefits they make up things that said you were rude to customers even though you work for them for 2 years and received employee of the year plus had no written reprimands no verbal warnings they suck.

  • Dec 28, 2016

I got my car from DriveTime in April of 2013, not because I wanted to, but out of necessity. My current car at the time died completely and I couldn't afford the new engone my car needed. I had already put in thousands of dollars, and was not willing to put any more money into it.

My credit was lacking at best because of a few personal issues I was having, and unfortunately, I was forced to sign a deal with the Devil. After having the car for a few months, things went downhill. It's been incapacitated more than once and the work that needed to be done on it was not cheap. I called Aeverex about the repairs who told me to fax them the bill for both the tow and the work that was done, along with proof that I paid the bills, as they would reimburse me.

After faxing the appropriate documentation they requested, I heard nothing from them. I called them day after day. First they claimed that they never received the fax (even though it clearly showed as "confirmed" that it went through). Then when I faxed it again, I had to call to find out if they were going to take care of it. They told me that the work I got done was not covered (then why the HELL would I pay extra for a warranty that does absolutely nothing, as they didn't even pay for my $60 tow fee!!!)

As of late, my car hasn't been driven for over a year and a half. My oil has been leaking into the coolant, and has messed up my engine. I can't afford to have the repairs fixed, as I've been quoted about $2,000 worth of work. Aeverex has denied that they will cover this as well. So, I've been stranded, getting rides from family and friends (which is not only an inconvience to them, but to my entire life as well), yet, they d**n well make sure that they take their payments from me every two weeks. I'm tired of paying for a car that I can't even use!! It might as well be an ornament!

As I've been researching more and more about DriveTime and their Aeverex warranty, I've been seeing that way too many people have been having issues with the cars they've loaned from DriveTime. When I got my car, it had 44,000 miles on it, and before it died, I put about 30,000 on it. There have been no recalls on it, as I'm constantly checking. There is something extremely sketchy about this, and it's absurd that this company (and probably many more like it) get away with stealing people's money, people who have no choice but to use them because of difficult times. They haven't even reported any of my payments to any credit bureau either! I have two more years of this nightmare. I can't wait for this to be over. I've definitely learned my lesson!!

  • Dec 23, 2016

On July 7th of 2016, I had just moved to Las Vegas and was in the search of a better life for my 3 children, 10, 9 and 7, and I. We were living in Montana without a lot of opportunity to have a better life. I was in search of a home, and my children were staying with my mother in Montana until I had everything figured out. I was driving a 2003 Mitsubishi eclipse and decided that it wasn’t the best vehicle for 3 kids, especially with the crazy drivers in Las Vegas, so I went to DRIVETIME. I knew I didn’t have the best credit due to the situation with their father 5 years prior and I was working 3 jobs so I didn’t have a lot of time to truly shop around. I came across this 2012 Hyundai Sonata and just fell in love with it. THAT WAS THE CAR FOR ME. I talked with Detroy Love and the paperwork was signed. I got all the coverage they offered thinking that I would be covered if anything should happen, that was the whole reason for getting a new car from a dealership anyway.

Within the first 5 days of the sale, I took the car down to one of their approved specialist. A Midas company located on Maryland Blvd. I noticed some hesitation when Idling, almost like a faint purr vibration. I talked with the guys at Midas and they told me the car was in perfect condition but if anything did happen, in the notes there would be in writing the vibration when idling so they could go back to it if needed. Cool I could deal with that, I got the warranty anyway and if there was an issue, at least it was documented.

I found a house and my kids were brought down from Montana from the help of my dad on August 4. We finally had the space we needed, and car big enough and my family was back together and we were doing better than ever. I was elated. This was everything I was working so hard for, little that I knew it would be short lived. On August 13th my check engine light came on. I called Aeverex and told them hey, yo, I've had the car for just over a month and the check engine light is on. They told me to take it down to American Auto and Tire, one of their approved specialist. They ran the diagnosis and came up with an error code P2191. This error code could have been anything from electrical, to fuel to anything. They told me that they needed at least a day to go through the vehicle to diagnosis it specifically.

I didn’t have the availability to just leave my car and still be able to get to all my jobs and take care of my kids, so I called Aeverex to see if a rental vehicle could be provided under warranty. They told me I was more than welcome to get a rental vehicle but they would not provide it for me. If it was approved, I would be reimbursed accordingly. Well first of all, you can only get a rental car if you have a credit card, and I did not. I've never had a credit card and never even thought of applying for one with my credit being the way it is (the reason I went to DRIVETIME in the first place). Second of all, I could not afford to rent a vehicle and have it reimbursed whenever. Hey yo guys, single mom, 3 kids, all starting school, new house, new city, and doing it all myself, above anything I had done before, budgeting on the high side to make sure that the kids are in a safe area and in good school district, we're not on state aid in ANY WAY and not even child support from the kid's dad who started over, never looked back, and working under the table. I just couldn’t take on more than I already was.

Well I ended up just hoping nothing would happen, that it could be fixed before the kids and I ended up stranded somewhere. About a week later, I was filling up gas and for some reason when I got in the car the check engine light was off. So I again was hopeful and thought it could have just been the gas cap, knowing they need a check engine light to run the gadget again anyway I just hoped I would be in a better situation when the light came back on.

On October 31st, My little sister came down to Vegas to help me. Things were hectic and I hadn't found a steady babysitter yet being new to the area and not knowing many people. That Friday, November 4th, the car hesitated starting as I was coming home from work. I came straight home and parked it. The next morning as I was getting ready to head to the store, the car wouldn’t start at all. I tried to call Aeverex but they only are open Monday- Friday 8-5pm. I then proceeded to call DRIVETIME and talk to Detroy, who sold me the car and told him the situation, and then talked to about 3 different managers that said there was nothing they could do and to call Averex first thing Monday morning. Thankfully I got a hold of one of my co workers who was able to get me to and from work until then.

First thing Monday morning I called Aeverex and got the car towed to American Auto and Tire, and it was ready by Wednesday morning, I woke up around 7 and started walking to pick up the car, it took me 2 hours to get there from my house, but being as I am from Montana I have never taken a bus in my life and I would rather guarantee I got to my destination rather than get lost trying to navigate stops and buses. Just more to worry about. I paid the $100 deductible and was told it was the fuel pump. Mind you, this car had about 53,000 miles on it in total.

On November 30th, I was working my shift at Landry's Seafood as a morning bartender when these two gentlemen walked in, and we got to talking. I was randomly asked " what kind of car do you drive?" And I told them. "what do you think of it?" And I told them. " How long have you had the car for?" And I told them. That’s when this man introduces himself as Charles Gregory, and hands me his card. The other gentlemen then introduces himself as David Ko, and hands me his card. After a few phone calls Charles invites me over to the table and asks me for the card he gave me and wrote "Ask For Carlos" on the back and tells me to go to the Henderson Hyundai dealership and he will do his absolute best to help me out. I was in shock. We parted ways and I was left with a very big Merry Christmas from Charles . :)

I took my car down the following day to see Carlos, he was not there at the time, but another gentleman came to talk to me, on of the sales guys, and when he determined I was unable to get a different vehicle due to the fact I just had gotten this one and had only paid around 5000 on the total so far he found out I was within the original manufacturers warranty with only 13 days left. He then took me into the service dept of the dealership and introduced me to Bennie. He made me an apt for Monday at 7:00 am to have the car diagnosed. I had friend pick me up from the dealership on our way to work and was willing to take me back down that night to pick it up. It was around 4:30 when Bennie called me and told me that the whole engine has to be replaced, that there was a cleaning they could do that would help for a little while but it wouldn’t be a permanent fix. The engine NEEDED to be replaced. I called Aeverex the next morning as they were already closed, and was told to have Hyundai Fax over the diagnosis. So Bennie did.

The next morning I walked to work, 3 hours each way and having to stop by my landlords bank so I could get the last $300 to her after Bridgecrest double charged me after I asked to have the automatic payments taken off not knowing what the car was going to do next. I never hear back from Averex that day but that night, Bennie called me again to tell me I was denied on the engine by Aeverex and that they were trying for the cleaning but It wouldn’t be allowed through the dealership due to labor costs. I broke down and called my mom as an sos, I was going to lose everything. My car I bought to save me was destroying me, I was on foot, It was worthless, I'm paying way more than I should have only because of my credit, which sucks due to identity theft. I couldn’t get a rental car and I didn’t know enough to have this figured out soon enough to not have it cost me my job.

That night I wrote Charles and David, with their emails on the card they gave me, and asked if there was anything they could think of that I should do next because this was the first car I had ever bought from a dealership. They both wrote me back :) The next day I talked to Charles about the situation and he asked him to keep him updated, but we would be in touch. This when I started calling DRIVETIME and Averex like crazy trying to talk to the right person to help me. No one would. They each kept telling me it was the other person's fault, Aeverex because they were the warranty company and DRIVETIME because they sold me the worthless car.

That's when I met Amber :) Amber called me because Bennie had asked her to help with the situation. She started making phones calls and trying to help in any way she could. Updates and talking to me like a real person and looking at the condition of the car and KNOWING it was SOLD to me like this!!! Both Amber and Bennie knew I was not the one at fault and started fighting for me!!!! My mom got into town the next day, got a rental vehicle and started driving me around town to and from work, and helping me with the kids, she was here to help since DRIVETIME and Aeverex wasn’t.

On the 14th, I was told again I was denied for any repairs unless it was at one of their repair facilities. Well to be honest, I don’t trust their repair facilities! With all the previous issues with the car when it was perfectly clear to Bennie and Amber that this car was in bad shape, and they said nothing about it. For goodness sake the car just had the oil changed, fuel pump replaced, and gone through by 4 mechanics. I had to go to the manufacturers on a whim to get the truth about this car. I was only being offered the band aid. To take the car to one of their repair places, pay the deductible and keep this up about every 6 months, leaving me without a car however knows how long and paying each time for as long as I own the car. The exact situation I was trying to avoid by getting a new car without and history of accidents, or past from what I could see with less than 49,000 miles when I bought it. It was not a good night.

Well after emails and calls back and fourth, Charles called me on the morning of the 15th, he wasn’t making any promises but he had made enough phone calls and everyone took charge and he thinks he got it approved from Hyundai!!! NOT EVEN THE COMPANY I BOUGHT IT FROM BUT THE MANUFACTURERS!!!!! These guys care so much about their reputation and their word and their image that they were gonna fix the car because it was right and they cared!!!!! They saved. He said he would have final answers in 24 to 48 hours but karma works!!! It wasn’t even 2 hours later and Bennie called me and said they had confirmation and I could come down and pick up a rental car!!!!!

WOW doesn’t even begin to cover it. I walked in and there was Amber, smiling at me when I asked to see if she was in. I was the first to tell her I was approved!!!! She gave me a big hug and Bennie walked around the corner. We were in and less than 15 minutes later Amber walked me over to Adam in the rental shop. No questions, just smiles and as soon as we told him what all was going on and how lucky I was to have gotten a Hyundai, and met Charles and David, he found the best car on the lot ( also a sonata :) ) and hooked me up!!!

I still don’t know how all this will turn out but getting a Hyundai, was the one of the best choices I have ever made. Everything could have potentially been one of the worst situations of my life and because Hyundai cares, my kids and I are ok and I can keep working towards a better life. THANK YOU Hyundai team, Charles Gregory, David Ko, Kiran Adashi, Amber Thompson, Bennie Pacheco, and Adam Brooks!!!! Your team has earned a Hyundai owner for life!!!! Thank you so much for everything you have done for me!!!! Above and Beyond doesn’t even compare.

When I told them everytime they called to get the car. Now it is good ol 2012. The car is on my credit as a repo and now they are trying to sue me. Forcing me to file bankruptcy. BEWARE! DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE. THEY TRIPLE THE PRICE ON USED VEHICLES. We purchased a car from them and my husband lost his job. The car was repossessed and they still want you to pay them for something that you don't have. They immediately put it in your credit report before having it repossessed and before speaking to you about the situation. They lied and said that the vehicle had never been wrecked. My husband had the car checked it out and it would be coated $4000 to get it repaired. They also roll back the mileage on their vehicles to make it look like the car has fewer miles. I would not recommend is company to anyone.

I purchased a Chrysler 200 from this DriveTime. Within 90 days the vehicle overheated and the engine needed to be replaced. Their warranty company Aeverex did replace the engine. Less than 3 weeks later something starts clicking in the dash and the AC and Heater are not working properly. The in network provider is not equipped to repair it and it's approved to take to the dealer. Once diagnosed I am told that the "part" is not covered. Clearly, if the heating and cooling systems are covered, ALL parts of said systems should be covered. This is just bad business plain and simple!!!!

2007 Malibu worth 9,999 leased/sold for 16k with rust under entire undercarriage

Terrible experience Do NOT BUY or LEASE from these guys. Long story short. This company did not provide a carfax or a Experian report due to it being a lease vehicle. They provided a checklist stating they check for the initial inspection of the car and there were no issues. The brakes (calipers, rotors and pads went out and were not covered), the battery was not producing enough amps and needed to be replaced because there was a wiring issue due to possible submersion/exposure to water, had the car wiring corrected, had to replace an exhaust pipe that was rusted, had to get the door latched fixed due to cracking apart from subsequent submersion/exposure to water. Had the authorized Aeverex dealer confirm over 75% of the undercarriage was rusted and parts failed/will continue to fail because of it. They replied they were not going to repair or replace anything due to the rust and that I should have received an Experian report and the time of sale to confirm no damage and he will be happy to send it. I received a call from a different customer relations rep stating they dont do any reports on lease vehicles and the rep. told me wrong. They leased me a car that had clear damage in the undercarriage and now the car is paid for and will not last me longer than the 2 yrs. I leased it, This is a complete scam. I paid 1095 down and 15k for 2 yrs for a car that is now worth 2k. I have contacted a lawyer and they will be hearing from him. This is repulsive and terrible to have to go through as a customer. They knew the car was an auction car from NY and they never checked for rust damage and if they did, they sold it to me with a checklist stating they checked for the entire call and there were no issues. BIG LIE!! FRAUD!!!!

She traded it out for only 100 dollars so my interest and pay out ended up being more then what they had told me they told me my with financing my rate was 10, but after talking with a lady abt it it was really 21% I went to get that car for 12,000 and expected to pay no more then 15,000 Well somehow I ended up having to pay 34000 on this car that was only worth 5,000 dollars!!! Also after a week of having this car I take it I got a small tune up you know battery, oil change, spark plugs and tires. Well I least that day from the auto mechanic place finding out the tire pressure gauges were out it needed an alignment catalytic converters and o2 sensors were bad back shocks were bad the main computer had to be replaced along with the a.c. blower motor. Well I called drive time to talk with them about what needed to be done sense the car was under warranty that i added onto the car, the only thing I could find out is that there wasn't anything they could do to help.

Drivetime sold me car, monthly payments $400/month. I lost job, now making 50% of previous salary. Asked them if I could lower payments they refused. I owe $10,000, other finance company said car blue books for $2000. No one will refinance upside down car. Drivetime said only solution is to repossess.

I paid 20,000 dollars on a car loan to drivetime I still owe 6,000 dollars on the loan for a 2003 jeep liberty I have only put 80,000 miles on it in 4 plus years. I have put over 5,000 dollars in reported repairs on the jeep during that time . The jeep has a blown head gasket and needs another coolant system I already put one in the jeep. The repairs will be 2000 dollars I asked if they could help me they said no. I was willing to pay 1,500 dollars to get into another car and finance it through them they said no you are stuck with the loan and jeep. It appears the jeep was sold like that.

I went to Drivetime /Bridgecrest out of desperation from a divorce and with financial issues of starting out on my own. I needed a car and did not realize that a "regular" dealership would help me. Never-the-less, I purchased a vehicle 2.5 years ago at a little over $14,000, my payoff to date is still over $10,000. I was not aware of the daily, interest fees on top of the other high interest fees.

Please do not purchase a car from Drivetime - you will regret it. The regular dealerships will work with bad financial issues and you will be able to pay your car off in a reasonable time. I will have to find a way to get out of this bad predicament with Drivetime. Read and ask questions on their policies. I would run as far as I can from Drivetime.

They have me 72 months for a 2013 Nissan Altima. price $13,500. and I put a down payment. of 2000.00. at end they said that the total would be 17,000 plus I ask why they said it was my credit , they still didn't tell me about the 6 years of payments on a 2013 car with 81,000 miles. drive time said i sign my name on the contract but I didn't, they (drive time) have you push the computer screen that has your signature on. it and I. know that I wouldn't finance a used car for 6 years!

drive time used my signature on the computer to sign me up for a longer payment plan than what was originally discussed, and didn't used the down payment towards the car that i purchase! Shenell Goldware
