DR Power Equipment Reviews

3 years ago I purchased a DRPower top of the line follow on Bruschcutter ($3500.) for my property in NY state. Not living there I used it 2 times (1 1/2 hr each time) before the winter, when I put it in indoor storage. The next year it didn’t start, I had a local guy change the solenoid. Used it 2 times and same story it didn’t start again. I called your people and they told me to contact AllWeather power equipment in Warners NY. I did. They repaired it, I used it two times, same problem. I sent it for repair to AllWeather equipment again this year, the unit came back 2 days ago, I used it yesterday and today and, you must have guessed, it is not starting anymore. I called DRPower customer service which told me to get it repaired!!! and since I didn’t have an extended warranty they couldn’t do anything for me. The supervisor didn’t even talk to me. I sent an email (same content as above) last week to the Company CEO and didn't get the courtesy of a response. I will never buy or recommend a DR again.

I have several DR Country Home Products equipment and generally they work fine, but from time to time, they need repaired. DR only list a part number they assign to a part, and never uses the OEM part number in there manuals or online. I recently needed a starter Solenoid for a Tow Behind Brush Mower and the only place I could find the part number and to order was from the DR web site. The price was $39.99 for part number 101551. I had to wait 2 weeks for the part to arrive. The part supplied was in the OEM box which identified the part as a Meyer Snowplow Solenoid part number 1306070. I searched online for this part and foumd that I could have bought the part from Walmart for $13.89. I will never buy another DR product again until they list OEM part numbers for their equipment. DR ripps you off on repair parts for their equipment.

I bought a Raven Mower from DR started having trouble with it after 1 month it was such poor quality and started smoking before the trial year was up. I was unaware of all the problems with the company that produced the Mower until I did an internet search. I contacted DR and kept getting the run around and it has been over 3 months with no results DR was a distributor for the Mower now they are claiming that they don't know anything about a year trial guarantee. I am frustrated beyond measure with this company and the manager of the dept who is supposed to handle the returns. I hope other consumers are forewarned of such a poor business and customer service.

Purchased new string mower from a local dealer. Owned product for only 8 days before the engine spun a bearing. Dealer contacted DR which sent us to a repair company named Tubbs JBMartin Repair 30 miles away. After 2 weeks thus company finally got around to taking mower apart and reporting their assessment of the problem to DR. DR did not honor the warranty at all!! They said it was not their fault that it had a leak which caused it to drain the oil out. Which in turn caused the damage. 6 weeks later we finally heard from the repair company, which then charged us for repairs. To top it off, they used our machine to mow 6 weeds on their lot and then handed it over to us! The carburator stills skips and does not run well.

DR Power division is a nightmare. I purchased a $1400 chipper online 3 weeks ago. Their web site says the order will be processed in 6 to 9 days. I'd heard nothing about my order so I called. The item hasn't even been built yet. They said it's supposed to be built in about a week then another week for delivery. Seriously? It will have been a total of over 5 weeks!

I purchased the item because I NEED one and I believed their web site. Shame on me for trusting them! Not only do they lie about their fulfilling orders but they don't even have the decency to keep me posted of delays. All this says volumes about their customer service. If I'd known it was going to take this long I would have shopped elsewhere. There are many other equally well made chippers out there. Their promise of fulfilling orders is a ruse to get your money like a contractor who starts a project then leaves to work on others while your home is in total chaos.

Also, I felt my phone call to them was met with only lip service and no concern for their failure.

I'll never buy anything from them again and make sure others are aware of their horrible service.

Buyer beware. Please do not consider DR Power equipment. We own 25 acres. Mostly cleared. I wanted something that I could easily manuver around trees. I consulted the chat room. I took pictrues of the chat room conversation. I was told I could easily manuver the 20 HP Pro-XL self propelled, electic start field and brush mover. Nothing farther from the truth. I am a strong woman.

But I was so exhausted after trying to mow around one tree. Parked it and never touched it again. We couldn't return it to one of the dealerships close to us. And that's another observation, there is not one product on hand, on display at any so called dealer. The free shipping is false. This company is trying to keep $700.00. Free shipping is false. Don't believe it. We are in a dispute and hope our credit card company can assist us with the $700.00 this company is trying to steal from us.

The second item is the DR Power grader. 60" driveway grader with 16 teeth. It can't even handle my horse arena, let alone out granite gravel drive. The videos on the website are false advertisment of the ability of their products.
