Dixon Worldwide Logistics, Inc. Reviews

Problem Date: 8-7-17

Purchase Date- 8-4-17

Sales Rep- Jason

Payment Amount: $125 deposit + $450 (original cost but ended up paying + $600)

Intially, my quote was from IL to Denton, Texas. He sent me the payment email for me to deposit but I wanted it to change the destination to Waco, Texas before I paid my deposit.

This is word for word from my texts with him after he asked me to pay the deposit:

"Thanks, Im thinking of staying in a hotel near Waco, tx and get my car there. Could you give me some more time to give you the address for the arrival?"

Jason said "That will be no problem at all. We do need to have the reservation amount paid in order to secure the spot on the truck. We can fill out the delivery location afterwards"

"Okay sounds good!"

"Perfect"

...

"Okay sounds great. I'll go ahead and make the deposit. I'm still choosing a place"

Jason said " Okay no problem. as far as the drop off location, it really is OK to fill that in later on today as long as we have that deposit before the driver heads out to you

"Sounds good. I just paid the deposit"

Jason said "Perfect! I sent the drivers information to you. It will be called Vehicle Dispatch.... That will "finalize" the agreement and also lets us know you have all of the information" (quotation on "finalize" added for emphasis).

"Okay I confirmed it. Here is the arrival destination. 1110 south 9th street, Waco, 76706.

Jason said "okay perfect I'll add it to the order."

The day before the arrival date (8-7-17), the asked for the address again. I gave him the Waco, tx address. on the day of my arrival date (8-7-17) driver calls and requests $150 extra because he got the dispatch for Denton, tx so I am making him do extra work. I called Jason from Dixon Worldwide and told him the situation. He first seemed puzzled and said he would call the drier himself. About 10 minutes later, he said you are making him do the extra work so the cost is fair. He apologized for not putting the address in the system. I specifically asked him that will you not take no responsibility for the increased price and he said he will not and apologized again for simply not putting the new address in the system.

They claimed that on line 16 it states "Price is subject to change depending on WEATHER, AVAILABILITY OF CARRIER, TERRAIN, or FUEL increases. Price quoted by Broker is simply an estimate NOT guaranteed. However, once vehicle has been dispatched to a Carrier, the price will NOT change. Broker will advise Owner of any price increase prior to the vehicle being dispatched to a Carrier."

my vehicle was dispatched with $450 to the driver but they required an additional $150 afterwards.

They said in their own words that "Broker will advise owner of any price increase." They did not. They said " once vehicle has been dispatched to a Carrier, the price will NOT change." It changed.

In the text, he said "it really is OK to fill that (new address) later on today as long as we have that deposit." It was not because he added more charge on the day of shipping.

I cannot help but to think they waited off on the day of the arrival of my car so I cannot get a refund but have no choice but to pay the additional cost for the shipping.

So the manager contacted me only when I gave them the pre-written reviews and asked them is this fair to post on all review websites. He said he would look into the case and get back to me by the end of the day. I waited for the whole day and there was no call. The next day, I left a message and called him three times but he did not pick up. That night, I left a message telling him that I would post the reviews if you do not get back to me by tomorrow morning. He didn't. The level of irresponsibility is unacceptable.

First of all... they are not Worldwide....total lie. They are a one office broker out of scam-ville USA - MIAMI, FL.

They have barely been in business two years and they do not own a truck - they are a broker. So how do they rip you off? Easy. Without getting your authorization they post your load on www.centraldispatch.com (only brokers and carriers can access this subscription website. They post your load at a higher than normal price which makes it easy for them to find a truck. Then they call you and act like they did you a favor or tell you they own their own trucks and have a truck ready to go on your route. Huge ripoff!!!

Why?

If they actually cared about you they would be honest about how the industry really works... they would get your authorization first before posting your load. They would actually do a little work and try to find you the lowest price possible... but that would be too hard for them. They do not know how to work hard. They are lazy. They do not have relationships with highly qualified truckers. This is why they over price the posting on the dispatch board... they probably never check the truckers credentials... then they call you and say..we have a truck. Any idiot ripoff company can over charge and find the first idiot truck driver out there on the route. They are not working for you... they are working for themself. They do not care about you. They only care about making a fast buck and not working in an ethical way to serve you correctly. They only care about a quick buck for themselves.

It is a scam - a fraud. Do not fall for it because you just over paid by hundreds of dollars.

They pull bait and switch tactics too. Read the BBB reviews - specifically the complaints.

No broker should be charging $150.00 for their services either. Max Deposit $100.00... the rest should go to the truck driver upon delivery. Never pay a $150.00 deposit for a broker - EVER!!!

No company should be calling you and telling you they have a truck ready to go on your route. It just doesn't work that way. IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT PROBABLY IS... never meant more than in this industry. Orders need to be worked once they are obtained. This is how you truly get the lowest rate possible.

NEVER WORK WITH A BROKER THAT SAYS THEY HAVE THEIR OWN TRUCKS EITHER. IT IS A LIE. BROKERS ARE SUPPOSE TO REACH OUT AT A LOW PRICE... THEN RAISE THE PRICE UNTIL THE FIRST QUALIFIED OFFER IS OBTAINED. Dixon does it backwards.... they over price it... quickly beat all other companies to the punch and then you just got ripped off!

Want proof - just ask any highly rated broker to cut and paste the negative reviews on www.centraldispatch.com that show they post loads without a contract. They have many negative reviews on the Central Dispatch board for doing just that.

This process also upsets hard working truck drivers.

Why?

When the truck driver gets off the road after a hard days drive.... they call Dixon thinking they have your order.... then what happens? Rather than getting the load (like they should... this is the way Central Dispatch is suppose to work)... they have to wait for a call back from Dixon - who then has to call you and slam you for the order at a price that is truly much higher than needed. Qualified truckers for two years have been pissed off by this activity due to Dixon's arrogance and failure to follow the dispatch rule (ONLY POST CONTRACTED ORDERS).

The only truckers that call Dixon now are the loser truck drivers that nobody else will work with because of their low ratings. The great truckers will not even call Dixon any more. Sad but true. Dixon has shot themselves in the foot.

They could not do it right now if they wanted to. They already ruined their reputation with the good truckers.

I hope this review helps. A number of brokers do this - most out of Miami - lazy foreigners that do not follow a moral or ethical business practice - they just pull scams. Buyer Beware!!!

BEWARE OF ANYONE WHO SAYS THEY ALREADY HAVE A TRUCK FOR YOU.... IT IS A TRUE RIPOFF!
