DermEssence Reviews

I saw an advertisement on Facebook for Dermessence Anti-Aging Cream. It was for a 14 day trial, nothing more. I was required to pay shipping/handling only. I ordered the product but, before doing so, it automatically pulled up a second product that I did not want.

When my Anti-Aging Cream was delivered I also receive the product I did not want, Beauty Radiant Skincare's Anti-Aging Serum. After my husband received our credit card bill it showed that I had actually been billed shipping for both products.

I was in no hurry to try these products as I had already been charged and my understnding was that I had paid in full.

On the 15th or 16th day after ordering the product, my credit card was charged again, this time for $94.95. I immediately tracked down a phone number and called the company to see what the malfunction was. They said that this was payment was due to them since I had not cancelled my account or returned the product. They also said my next shipment would be sent soon.

I had to literally argue with the gentleman on the phone to cancel my account. I had to even threaten to get an attorney involved and to post on every form of social media that this was a scam. It was only at that point that he agreed to cancel my account, apologizing to me that he was only doing his job and that he heard this type of complaint "all day".

I cannot speak for the product itself because I still have not used it. My complaint is with the idea the company gives you that you only pay shipping/handling to "try" the product. To me that means if I like it, I can order it again at regular price, NOT that it would be automatically shipped to me every 30 days. I would never agree to this and it was not understood by me that this is what I agreed to.

This is a very sneaky way to get your product-wanted or not-into the homes of consumers like me. Thank you for time and consideration in this matter.

Sincerely,

Scammed

My bank said that I “authorized” these bs charges because I “technically” did sign up for a trial. Ended up paying 5 bucks for this book www.trialbusters.com and got 120 in refunds. Helped me alot.

I ordered an eye serum product through DermEssence on an ad that had popped up on FB. I've ordered other products on FB and found it strange when it kept asking me if I wanted a free sample and suddenly the order was complete, but I had not received any confirmation number. I did receive the product and within a month found an almost $200 charge on my account for a renewal of the product.

It took some real digging to find the company's name and phone: DermEssence 2021 N. Slappey Blvd. 888-334-5740 They were adamant that I was past my 2 week trial date but agreed to give me a full refund (after I continued to tell them that I wanted a full refund) and gave me return numbers for that full refund. I mailed them back with the numbers well documented and 2 months later (5/15/17) they haven't refunded my money yet, saying that they haven't rec'd the product. I have not seen the package back so I believe they have received the package.

I talked to the GA attorney general and he told me to contact Facebook and tell them what happened. Contact the BBB in Georgia 404-766-0875; the FBI's internet crime complaint center at ic3.gov and the FTC Federal Trade Commission at 877-382-4357. I called DermEssence back and told them this was my plan of action.

Hard lesson and I'll be ordering less, if anything from Facebook anymore. I think this group are scammers.

These guys are scum! Total low down scum. They lure you in with a teaser product (you think you're getting it for free; you're just paying the $4.95 shipping.) Like someone else who filed a report, I filled in a survey, which as I recall was for CVS pharmacy. I even called CVS, and they said they have nothing to do with this company and are going to investigate them as well.

Next thing I know, like someone else reported, I'm getting this anti-aging cream sent to me once a month at $94.95 a pop! Outrageous. When I called to cancel this unauthorized subscription, I got this slimey sales pitch from the rep. on the phone. Totally sleazy. I started yelling and cursing at her telling her to cancel the subscription and she hung up the phone. I called back and reached another rep and told him to cancel the subscription. He did. And when I checked my credit card, I had 3 unauthorized charges of $94.95 from them.

I saw another poster said there was probably some fine print that said I was signing up for a subscription and allowing them to keep charging me. Maybe so, but that's not an excuse or justification for them. They can't hide behind a deceptive practice like this.

I called my credit card company, and told them to dispute all charges, which they did.

Beware of these thieves. The absolute lowest form of scum there is.

My wife ordered a trial offer product from DermEssence the first of November 2016. Her mother was placed in intensive care the first of December in Ohio, meanwhile the product was shipped to our home in Indiana. When I called to cancel the next shipment, My mother in law passed away, we were dealing with her funeral and I called to cancel the next shipment but was told by them that I had missed the 15 day cancellation period. They billed us $185.00 for a product that my wife had not even had a chance to try. I then called and spoke with a manager and was offered 50% back and return inventory. I declined this offer and demanded a full refund. A manger named Disandra agreed to 100% refund if I sent back product. Product was returned January 6, 2017. Have received no refund and they have product. Called today, April 16,2017 and was told the best they could do was 50% if I sent back product, which has already been returned. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE AT ALL! THEY ARE A SCAM AND LIARS.

Dermessence offers a 14 day free trial so you can see if the cream works. But then they tell you it takes 30 to 90 days to see any results. What? You can not get a refund and if you ask to speak with a manager. They will tell you ,you can't. So to me they kind of already told me this is a scam I will not see any results for 30 to 90 days but I have 14 days when I first get it to see if it's working . But you just told me I will not see any results for 30 to 90 days so how am I going to see the results in the first 14 days of trial period. Basically they give you the 14 days free to get you to buy the product knowing that they are going to charge you because they just said you will not see results for 30 to 90 days. But here you go 14 free days that you think you're getting because we know the product isn't going to show you any results in this 14 days. The way they set up the free trial, is so your charge the $93 at the end of the 14 days that you're not going to get any results from. You're not going to get the results because they physically just told you it takes 30 to 90 days to see the results and they're not going to give you a refund as it's after the 14 day trial. That you were never going to see any results in because they tell you it takes 30 to 90 days but they don't tell you that in the beginning they tell you that after it doesn't work and you call to get your refund and then they tell you you can't get a refund and you ask to speak to a manager or supervisor and they tell you that you can't do that either because the managers and supervisors follow the same policies.

DermEssence, a/k/a SKINSERUM8778559902 877-8559902, a/k/a FLFACECREM8554805023_ 855-480-5023 FL skincarenewoffer.com/offers/v6f/?AFID=600080&SID=6550&C1=

on December 11, 2016, I ordered samples of DermEssence skin serium and face cream, supposedly for shipping & handling fees only. When the product came, it looked like something from the Dollar Store, so I called the company and told them I did not want this product and where to send it back to. I told them I didn't want anymore and to cancel and I would return the product. Next thing I know, I get FOUR (4) charges on my credit card dated December 26 and 27, 2016 - $93.89 twice and $94.95 twice and January 11 and 12, 2017 . I called after I received my credit card statement and asked about the charges, since I'd called and cancelled. I am out over $400.00 for crap I sent back - they gave me a return number and told me to not open the package (charged on 12/24/17) and I did not - I returned that with the numbers written all over the package. I also send the used products back, as told to do. They told me in my call on January 18 that I would get a refund in two weeks. Well, it is now Feb 21, 2017 and no refund. Called the company again and they say they did not receive my two packages, that were mailed January 19, 2017. Have a case open with the USPO and with my credit card company. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I was offered a free wrinkle-treatment facial product for answering a survey, all I had to do was pay a !.99 shipping fee. So I decided to do it. Can't even remember what the survey was about, but it wasn't about skin care. When I finished it came up on the screen that I was getting 4 products, for a total of 13.82. I couldn't figure out a way to get out of it as I had already given my credit card number, and no way to back out. So I had to accept it to close down the program.

Nowhere did I read that it was a trial offer and that I had to cancel in a certain amount of days in order to not receive more products. However, I did receive a phone call right after I clicked off on the computer, and I think the call was about the cosmetics. But the woman talking to me had a very heavy accent and I couldn't understand what she was saying. When I told her I couldn't understand her, she only talked louder, which made it even worse. So in frustration I hung up.

This transaction took place on 1/14/17, according to the credit card statement. But I was totally shocked when I saw two charges on the statement that I knew nothing about. One for something called CLREYESERUM for 93.89, and one for face cream for 94.95. I called the credit card company but since the earlier items were on there they said they couldn't do anything about it. However, I had not received any additional products at that time.

A phone number for each product was listed on the credit card statement, so I called each one and both persons said I was supposed to cancel within 14 days and that the products had already been shipped so they couldn't do anything about it. But they did say they would cancel future orders. They were actually pretty unaccommodating. The calls were made on 2/14/17.

I finally received one package Sat., 2/18. I have not received the second one yet. I have not opened the package in the event that I could return it for a full refund.

The address I gave you is the one listed on the package, and may only be a supplier or warehouse. I don't have any other address, but the phone numbers are 888-304-9424 for the "clreyeserum" and 855-865-1906 for the face cream.

If possible, I would like to return the products for a full refund, or at least receive a sizeable refund if I have to keep the products. I cannot imagine paying close to a hundred dollars for face creams. Especially since I'm 79 years old and on a fixed social security income of 733 a month. The very highest I would pay for the products would be 25-30 dollars. Actually, I have gone to their website and there were some rather unfavorable reports of the products, so I'm not even sure they would be worth that much.

I would appreciate any help you can offer to me. Thank you.

I saw an add on facebook for the antiaging cream. I watched the video that was supposedly done on Shark Tank, and decided to try the free offer. This was on January 31, 2017.

I only wanted the eye cream, however, I could not go forward with the trial offer, until I said I wanted the other 3 items. I figured it was only $13, and I could cancel the automatic shipments.

I called the number on the website, after 2 days, because I just knew that for some reason, I would end up having to pay $94 a month for something I could not afford. The automated service claimed that my phone number was associated with the order, and the automatic shipment was cancelled.

I was billed on my bank account for the $94 two days ago. I called the customer service number that was listed on the website, and was told, they could not find my account. I had to give them my name, my address, my phone number, the order number and part of my credit card number that was used. They still could not find my order, so the gentleman, gave me a email address to the billing department, and told me to email them.

I did that, and then was told today, that the product I was billed for, did not come from them.

I am frustrated, and upset and I don't know what to do. I was ripped off, and whats worse, the cream does NOT work at all.

I signed up for the 14 day risk free trial after being lured in by online sales verbage. The site stated that this product was on the shark tank and the sharks loved it , and the site also showed more sale promotions. I had to pay $4.95 for shipping and handling. However , I never received anything. I now notice that there have been charges on my cc for $94.95 for the last 2 months. Plus an extra $1.99 that was charged on top of the $4.95 advertised shipping fees.

I have never received any product from this company . It was a Florida number that I called , and spoke to the most uncaring impatient boy who refused to refund me, then offered me a 30 % discount if i didnt cancel. Then a $50% discount. He was beligerent and clearly reading a script with no interest. Finally he offered to refund me but told me that it will take between 5-20 days. They have no tracking number or any proof that I have received anything from them which makes me believe nothing was ever sent to me.

Apparently , once you sign up for the risk free trial if you don't cancel aftyer 14 days then automatically put you into a contract that "sends' you cream every month, unless you notify them to cancel. You have to scrtoll so far down the page after the risk free trial that I am sure most people don't see this . You are lured in by the "risk free" trial, however there is nothing risk free about this. This is a blatant misleading scam.

This company is the worst!

They offer a 30-day free trail, and 15 days later, they change my account over $300 with a recurring charge...unacceptable. I did all the unchecks to make sure I wouldn't be charge. But that didn't help, they charge my account anyway. I called customer service to ask for a refund, and the person on the phone hung up on me the first and second time.

I called several times, trying to get a refund. I finally got a cancellation number, so they won't continue charging my credit card. I also have a USPS tracking number day/time that I shipped the unused items back to them at the address they gave me. Both packages were picked up in North Cross, GA one on 1/13/17 and 1/14/17. Once, I told them I have the tracking number that told me I had to wait 30 days.

I call today, one person told me I would receive a refund for $93.95 and hung up. So, I called back to get a confirmation number as well as discuss the other payment of $94.95. I was told there is no refund in the system, and he hung up on me. I have called this company at least 25 times.

I need help in getting my money back. I have all the paperwork. Could you please help me?

This company put out a video ad on Facebook with a man standing beside an older gentleman being treated with a large stopwatch that within two minutes the eyebags were gone. The ad offered a free sample which my wife readily submitted our credit card information to pay for shipping only. We were surprised our credit card was charged $93.89 three times! We disputed with our credit card and they refunded their charges. We filed complaints with FTC and BBB.

BEWARE: DermEssence is a SCAM!!!

SCAM

So horrible do not order this!!!! I wish there were better outcomes in these reviews. I am currently disputing these charges with Discover, have had 6 different conversations with these people, they have said they will return my money upon receipt of product. Hopefully this is what happens! So disappointed in myself and this company!!! Complete scam!

Was supposed to get some anti aging creams for $4.99. Received them.. They charged my credit card about $200 and claimed the $4.99 was for shipping and handling. Did it two months in a row before I noticed and called them. All they talked about were their terms and conditions and that I supposedly only had 14 days to return the product. So I'm out about $400 for junk cosmetics.

  • Jan 17, 2017

Did a survey, thought it was through Amazon, promised a free cream and then was charged $100 for the cream plus shipping. Then was setup for repeat deliveres automaticlly. This is a total scam.

  • Jan 12, 2017

First of all it left red spots on my face that i never had before.then i find out im enrolled in auto delivery for next ship

ment $94.98. after 14 days not 30 and didn t ask for serum or stem cell cream.

This product is a scam and doing business with this company is bad on several fronts.

For starters, the product does not work. Regardless of what the ad video shows, it simply does not work as advertised. It seems to have some moisturizing value, but as for wrinkle removing, etc., it is worthless. That would be enough to avoid this company, but the real danger lies in the fine print. First of all, there is a 15-day trial period. In that time, if you fail to return the product you are charged the full $100 for the product. In fairness, and so as to be as transparent in this review as I possibly can, I will admit that I missed this little land mine when I placed the order, and as such I was stuck with the bill, although after arguing with the customer service people I was given a 30% refund (still our $70 for a worthless product).

Which brings me to the other challenge of this product; the customer service people. I use this term loosely because the people are far from helpful, indeed they are not even employees of the face cream company. They are a third-party call center that actually services many companies and talking to them is like trying to speak rationally to a bill collector. It took multiple calls (including being hung-up on), to multiple wrong numbers and then multiple emails before we finally reached a manager. Unfortunately, as it turned out, that particular manager didn’t seem to understand the company very well either because she gave us incorrect information. The parting sentiment was that the manufacturer has zero contact with its customers, and the call center has zero skin in the game so they are completely ruthless to customer complaints.

In summary, this product does not work, and if you give the company your credit card information to try it for yourself, you are likely to end up in a battle to reverse charges. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these charlatans. Go to Walgreen instead.

  • Dec 3, 2016

I learned of this company through a sponsored ad on Facebook. They were giving free samples of a skin care product, just pay shipping and handling. Once I submitted my order, a pop-up appeared with another product. The pop-up was designed in such a way that you would think you should click Next to finish the order. Once I clicked Next another pop-up ad appeared with a different product. I again clicked Next before realizing I was being charged for these products. Each product was roughly $5 so I did not bother to contact the company to dispute it. I was unaware that by clicking Next on these two products that I was signing up for a recurring subscription to the product. I received another bottle of this face cream in the mail yesterday with an invoice for $94 ! This product is not worth the $5 shipping that I paid in the first place! When I called Customer Service the woman who answered the phone actually laughed at me on multiple occasions, refused to let me speak to a supervisor, refused to refund my money, and just kept repeating that I agreed to the terms and conditions. At no point during the transaction were terms and conditions displayed. Once I explained to her that I purchased this through a facebook ad and that terms and conditions were never displayed she then placed me on hold while she "talked with her supervisor". She returned to tell me she could refund me 35% of the $94. I continued to argue with her so she offered me a 50% refund "because she felt bad for me". I still continued to argue and demand a 100% refund when she told me that she would have to end the call because she had already exceeded her 9-minute time limit for phone calls.

Sponsored by instagram with the illusion of eliminating under eye bags. A supposed 'Free Trial' they defend a nonexistent consent to charge my card for $94 after 14 days. I never agreed to this charge, nor did I know about it, the package came without a bill or receipts. My story is very similar to the other one posted here, when I called they refused to give me a full refund and kept repeating that they have my 'signature'. A simple analogy to this merchant would be a thief who walks into Walmart with your credit card to buy a TV and forges my name on the receipt. What this company did to me and many others (who have not come forward yet) is called stealing and they are imposters, additionally are also misrepresenting an anti aging product that does not live up to its claims.

Online promotion for a trail of DermEssence and NuBeauty for shipping and handling. Cancelled and received two products totalling approx. $200.00. Called DermEssence and said they would issue a credit. Contacted new NuBeauty and they said they did not accept returns or give any credit.

I saw an ad online that Angelina Jolie had a new skincare line and the product was free, except for shipping. I ordered it, and mistakenly clicked the button that put 3 other items on my list. I immediately called them and cancelled the remaining 3 products and confirmed the shipping price for the first item. I then received all 4 items, and when I called to tell them this, they told me there would be a restocking fee of $9 or so, and I had to pay to ship it all back. Then they told me that I had entered a contract of sorts, which I would have to cancel by a certain date. Not only does Jolie have nothing to do with this product, but everything about their approach is a scam. When I told the woman, very respectfully, that I did not order the remaining products, she hung up on me. Her name is Jessica.

10/04/16 I was charged $94.95 for DermEssence Face Cream and $93.89 for DermEssence Glayeseum. I called both numbers to stop the subscription for these items 877-854-9134 and 855-865-5991..I was told that company was unable to stop shipping on them..I spoke to first Nick and them Joslyn on 10/05/16.

I also spoke to my bank and they told me they could't help me either...Unless I could prove it was faud..

Of course I didn't read the small print that stated I had to contact them in 14 days ...I admit I was wrong...

So I figure when I got the merchandise I would sell on e-bay or something ...

Problem I got charged $188.84 and never received anything from this Company..I waited till October 24, 2016 and wrote them a letter they never responsed or did they refund my money...
