I sold my APHA mare "Muffin Te" to this individual on 10/13/11 for $400. She gave me 1/2 cash and a check as payment. I deposited the check only to recieve a letter from my bank 4 days later stating that the account it was written on has been frozen or blocked. I attempted several times to call and text her about getting cash plus bounced check fees. She had promised several times to send me a money order plus the fees on 10/21/11 stating her purse had been stolen and $5k had been taken from this account but was assured the bank would process the check she wrote me. That did not happen and money orders never showed in my mail as promised with the first one being sent 11/13/11 and then another sent on 12/10/11 with additional money for all the hassel and her feeling bad. I made several attempts to collect and eventually her phone was shut off in February 2012. I looked up the address on the check and had no luck there, they moved. While I was moving back to FL I got a call on one of my drives asking me if my horse had been stolen as I was still on the Coggins paperwork they recieved. Technically she had been since she never paid what was owed. I found out through that person who owned a boarding stable in Florida that Danielle had picked up and left (stating she was going camping with the horses) without paying several months worth of boarding fees. This person also found a few other boarding stables that this had happened to by this same person. She was also told that my horse had never had saddle time and she came straight out of the field. I had several hours on that horse, she came from a reining trainer but she was too slow/lazy (more of a pleasure horse, not a speed horse) plus pics of my kids (then 5 yrs old and the mare was 4 yrs old) riding her in a round pen and on lunge line, and let her know how she had choked twice so she needed to be watched which had not been passed on. They were trying to get enough evidence to file a lawsuit against her, I don't know if this ever came about. Later on Horseclicks I found my horse located in Davie, FL. I had a "Stolen" alert on her papers so they would alert me if someone tried to register in their name. I contacted the person selling the horse, sent pics of my horse and verified it was my horse. I found out that the girl who purchased her was 16 and used her own money to purchase her per a conversation with her mother. I also found out through the mother that they bought her from a trainer for $1000 or so and that trainer had bought her for $1300 to "help out" the seller who was Danielle. I did not have the heart to take a horse from a young girl who had also been taken by this one person indirectly. I removed my stolen alert and allowed her to stay with the girl even though dad was the one who supposedly was riding her more.
