He asked me to leave the automobile with them and they would call me when they had an estimate on the repair costs. I then signed their forms because I was on my way to coach my son’s baseball game as was late, so I was in a hurry. I am used to people giving me professional agreements and not some company that gives shady services. I did not get a solid agreement from Daniel. Instead, I got screwed.
I got a call from Daniel Austin the next day and was told the vehicle had several problems like gaskets, plugs and tubes that needed to be replaced and have all been fixed and you owe $1435.
I said “Daniel… WHAT! Are you crazy?”
I argued about the supposed free estimate and that the costs seemed excessive and all Daniel told me is it was all in the waiver I signed and they did nothing wrong or illegal.
I later took it to another shop and was told that most of the things they claimed to have replaced were never even done and that basically the only thing I needed was a tune up and some new spark plugs.
If you live in Polk County Florida do yourself a favor and stay away from Daniel Mueller Austin and SOLID Austin Auto repairs because they are nothing more than a big SCAM.
