I received a letter from this law firm regarding a debt from Cash Call. The letter sounds threatening requesting money and interest charges.
I googled this law firm through the BBB. This firm has as many of 19 complaints for poor practice in collecting debts owed. They apparently have called and harrassed, been rude, and threatening people at work and at home, calling numerous times a day.
They have threatened people, have been rude and argumentive. They have been asked several times by the people they have contacted to produce documentation of the debt and they refuse to send any documentation to them.
They are in strick violation of the "Fair Debt Collection Practices Act 15USC, 1692 (a)(b)(c)". I am sure there are more people out there that have be threatened into paying this firm thousands of dollars.
There is something fishy about this company or so called law firm that has been let to continue such practices by intimating and threatening people, refusing to work with people, refusing to supply documentation to those people, constant calling work and home even when put on notice not to call those places, rude and argumentive employee's as well as Mr. Carruthers.
I am hoping that someone will read this report and maybe a class action law suit against this firm needs to be done. Maybe enough of us call the State Attorney General maybe they will look into it also.
