Although I am outraged at Cozy customer support for the way they treated me, my complaint is NOT here. Rather, I wish to give a "heads up" to the individual with repetitive thermocouple failures.
My experience has been taht whenever a thermocouple is overheated by the pilpt flame, it is surely doomed to premature failure. Please remember what we learned in physics class that the TIP of a flame is where it is hottest and the MIDDLE of the flame is not as hot. If the pilot is adjused so that the thermocouple is at or very near the tip of the pilot flame, it WILL overheat and is doomed to premature failure. For this reason, the pilot flame should COMPLETELY surround the thermocouple and NOT heat the tip. This can be accomplished by adjsting the height of the pilot flame w/ the pilot adjustment and/or moving the thermocouple shaft away fron the tip of the pilot's flame and into the center of the pilot's flame. The pilot's flame should completely surround the shaft of the thermocouple fo longer thermocouple life.
I sincerely hope that this information is helpful and that you are able to eliminate your thermocouple problem I am sorry that no one had pointed this out, previously.
