Never buy tires from Costco. They are more interested in selling you new tires when you come in for warranty service than fulfilling their promises. I came back to get a repair for a nail in one of their tires but they wouldn't do it because the tire already had 2 repairs and it was older than 5 years. But I was welcome to buy a new tire. I went to Les Schwab and they were glad to repair it for free. This is the second time I've had Costco Tire Center fake a "liability" issue. It's no wonder that Costco has so many "very dissatisfied" reviews.

I Purchased Michelin 90,000 mile tire set for my Prius in early 2016. They installed them in February 2017.

I noticed a drop in milage on the Prius and went back to the COSTCO te get an adjustment on the tires.

They didn't offer much. I called Michelin and they sent me to a Tire place in Travelers Rest to evaluate my tires for them. I shwed them the COSTCO paperwork showing the tires they installed. They looked at the tires and told me they were the wrong Michelin tires only good to 60,000 miles. Michelin said they have no control over which tires they install and that was my problem.

I went back to COSTCO Tires they checked my installation paperwor and identified the serial numbers they installed. They validated the same serial numbers when I did my tire rotation. He confirmed that the tires I had on my car now did not match his serial numbers and that was my problem. The tire manager said someone must have switched your tires.

I taled to the toyota manager about what happened and asked if it was possible to put the wrong tires on the car. He said no and that if someone did then the tire inflation sensors would have to be reset at the dealer.

In September 2017 I went walmart to rotate the tires and they said I didn't have enough tread. So after 22,000

miles my tires are no good. No help from COSTCO Tires or from Michelin.

It looks like colusion between Michelin and COSTCO Tires to dump poor tires on the unknowing consumer.

If I hadn't seen the milage drop on the Prius I would never been wiser,

The COSTCO Tire manager lied to my face knowing there was nothing I could do.

I went to the tire center and had my two front tires replaced. They supposed to rotate my rear tires to the front and put new tires on the rear. After the service, I just checked the left front tire was one of my original rear tire that was rotated to the front. After a while,I noticed by chance that my current front right tire is still my original front right tire. I realize that they did not change this tire. I went to the center to complain about that, however, they did not admit, just saying that We did the service and you drove the car away. The service is finished. If you found this before you leave or come back in one day, we would change the tire back. They just don't want to do anything about that. Although the service was done a month ago, the two front tires should be similar. Now my front tires are so different, they just refuse to acknowledge that. I called the Costco corporation and was given a number to call. But I noticed that the number is the center's service number, I am so disappointed and fell despair.

COSTCO TRIES TO WESSEL OUT OF A TIRE TREAD WEAR WARRANTY.

Costco Tires denied tire tread wear warranty insisting that all tire rotations must be completed in their shop. A review of the purchase contract, which the customer agrees to, ONLY binds the purchaser to rotate the tires every 7500 miles. There is no agreement to ONLY have the tires rotated at Costco.

The manager insisted it was their policy to only warranty tires rotated in their shop. I explained that the contract I signed had no statement requiring the tires be serviced only at Costco.

After he was informed that failure to honor the warranty under these terms was a breach of contract did he make calls to the store manager and his district manager. After 90 minutes he finally allowed a credit and I insisted on cash to purchase from another dealer.

(The entire time he was calculating the credit amount he kept lecturing me about store and company policy. I firmly reminded him that the policy means nothing unless the policy is part of the purchase agreement which it is not.)
