I spoke with Cory C on the phone. He was very opinioted, everthing was easy, yet he did not know that the engine needs to be removed to do the repair. He wanted to see the car tonight and collect down payment to secure a future appointment! Also he wanted to collect 1/2 before he would start the work. I told him that I pay for all the parts upfront.
He insisted that he must collect the deposit because he was burned by Craigslist several times when his appointment was cancelled. I asked him multiple times what kind of loss he would suffer if I pay for all the parts upfront and cancel the appointment. He ran out of reasonable arguments and told me to find someone else to do this job for "this kind of money".
According to his email he could buy a cylinder head for my car Sunday late evening and install it the same day!
Granted, his price was too good to be true.
