Good ole Jerry Cook, good Christain man sold me a heat pump, next thing you know i owe someone in Ga.$20,000 for a $5000.00 heat pump. After trying to get this man to work things out with me , he calls me up after his heat pump caught my house on fire and would have burned it down had i not been awake and challenges what the fire marshall reported, wants to know why i own firearms, refuses to work anything out. I told him plainly, I do not owe that debt, and i could not ever lay down and sleep with that heat pump attched to my house. He refuses to work anything out. I have no choice but to sue him in court.
Do Not use Jerry Cook's - Cook's Heating and AirConditioning. At this time I will only say they did not provide a contract. They would not take the unit back, and we still don't have any paperwork where we signed a contract stating the price, etc. Jerry is very smooth and polite to your face. We told him that my husband and I were both disabled and had to live on SS checks monthly. He took out $38,000 credit limit between Green Sky & Syncrony Bank. Our credit went from the seven hundreds to the five hundreds. We no longer can get credit without paying the top of the line interest rate.
He charged us almost $19,000 for the unit and we can't afford it. We are so broke we have to make out a list for the grocery store and if we don't get something we missed, then it will have to wait for next month. I am so stressed and truly don't know what to do. There is a lot more to this story, but we are meeting with lawyers tomorrow to see if they will take the case. No one in Lake City wants to take it and I can only assume that it is because he has been stated to be an endtimer. Anyway, after tomorrow I will know what I can and can not say. Don't let this smooth talker talk you into anything. Stay far, far, away.
