I purchased cometchat plugin ant its related apps, sdk and desktop messenger after reading the instruction and description of its features, and my nightmare began. The plugin was not only failing to work properly, but caused the slowness of the whole site. There are totally 38 warnings and errors with the cometchat.
I contacted the support and the guy named salam answered my ticket a couple weeks later promising to let their developers to fix it. The did nothing to solve the bugs during the whole licensed year, then they asked me for more money to extend the license and much more $$$ to move my self hosting to their cloud hosting. Yes, this terrible scamming group based in india just care about money only.
What is more that they never ever game the right apps packaged, never ever game the active sdk and desktop messenger.
They ever did not fix the dizens of bugs, but refused to refund me. They overstated the features of the cometchat features to induce customer to buy, and took the cash and left nothing working. Don't buy this terrible scamming plugin to avoid loss!!!
I purchsed Comet Chat because their page list of features was impressive. However, from day one the product failed to deliver as promised. Entire features failed to materialize and many features just failed to work properly. Every time that a support ticket was presented, their staff would just say that the problem was resolved or that no problem existed. However, we would reconfirm the existence of the probem and record it.
They do not answer their phones, they do not return calls, they do not follow instructions. They are truly the worst organization that i have ever dealt with. This compnany shoudl be blacklisted from being able to sell WordPress Plugins. They are a complete and utter waste of time and money.
We've been a client of cometchat for about a year and it's been an absolute nightmare. Horrible customer support. Constant bugs and problems with the chat platform. We requested some customization work from the developers and after requesting that we send them payment for the work immediately, they took over 3 months to complete the customizations. We contacted them multiple times for status reports with little to no response. It wasn't until we threatened to dispute the payment via paypal (after 3 months of waiting) that they finally started the work. The original quote time on the project was 8 HOURS. Even after all this, the custom work they did still doesn't function properly. Users are constantly complaining of the many issues with the application - messages not posting properly, audio not working, lag in chat, and the list goes on. We had several developers review the source code and it was explained to us (this is from 4 different experienced developers) that the source code for the application is very poorly written and poorly organized. Bottom line - don't waste your money. There's many other much better chat applications out there.

They have not given me anything but just stolen my money!
They are based in India and of course you can't get hold of your money over there as Im based in the UK
They are dishonest and don't trust them .
How can they refuse to return my money when they have not provided the software ???
And they blame my developer but my developer has given them all the information they want ??
Its a bad experience but I plan to let as many sites as possible know to prevent further innocent people from going down this road

No expertise in their product, during my technical questions in email to them, They only bothered with selling you the product (Good sign of scam). They use dubious english names in customer email.
