I purchased a restaurant voucher for $15 which was to provide me $30 in value when redeemed at the chosen restaurant. The restaurant, Cafe Creole Caribbean Spice in Port Charlotte, FL refused the voucher. I contacted LocalFlavor via their voicemail system three times over two weeks. It took them ten days before they responded via email. I requested their customer service call me to discuss my issue and was refused.

During the multiple voicemails I left on their automated answering service, I described my problem using the restaurant voucher they had sold me. I told them the restaurant had refused to accept the voucher. The LocalFlavor representative, Jackie K wrote me telling me that some restaurants are struggling due to covid-19 and that they may not be able to honor the voucher. During the back and forth emails I exchanged with Jackie K, she told me the restaurant can do whatever they want and that LocalFlavor has no responsibility in the matter.

When I responded that I wanted a credit, exchange, or refund I got the cold shoulder. I was told my claim was made after the 14 day warranty limit after purchase (it had been 18 days). I asked to have a manager or supervisor call me many times and never got a call. Instead, I finally received a generic email from Michelle F, Sr. Consumer Loyalty Coordinator, telling me I should either use the voucher or just gift it to someone. Is this Loyalty Coordinator in touch with reality?

How can I use or gift a voucher the restaurant rejected? LocalFlavor sold me a worthless, unusable certificate and will not take any responsibility for it. They will not refund my $15 or exchange it for another voucher. LocalFlavor is still knowingly selling restaurant vouchers to The Café Creole Caribbean Spice.

I am a business owner. I was approached by an aggressive salesperson to buy advertising with Clipper Magazine. I explained my distaste for coupon mailers but she told me that I can try it out by bartering. All I had to do was provide them 96 certificates for entry to my business ($59 each) in lieu of payment, and they would sell those certificates online to pay for my advertising.

When I went online to review how many tickets they sold, I realized that they sold 144, 48 more, or $2,832 more than what we agreed to. There had apparently been a misunderstanding as they failed to tell me that in addition to providing them certificates, I had to provide them at a 50% off discount. I have email correspondence from both my direct sales person and the Vice President stating that I am to provide "96 certificates which is the same as 48 sets of 2 tickets".
