Sept. 2018 Cigna insurance was cancelled. They still withdrew $285.61. Sept. 2019 once again withdrew $285.61.

Then was told it was not supplemental insurance but cancer and stroke insurance. After many phone calls and twenty different stories was finally told it had to be in writing.

I was told my phone calls would be returned and they never were. This company is extremely dishonest and this is fraud. I want the $571.22 they stole from me.

CIGNA

Provider Relations Analyst /Medical Onboarding department Franklin, TN - this department is micro-managing employees 100% . There is an employee- John Logsdon who mistreats all employees. This person is very disrespectful, doesn't work well with other employees, and is always bullying his co-workers. Employees have complained to management and nothing is being done.

I signed on with Cigna and since I am a healthy adult I never once used my coverage. I cancelled my coverage which I thought included ALL aspects of my coverage. 1.5 years later I noticed a charge I didn't recognize on my statement. It was then that I realized that they had been charging me $48 every month for almost 2 years for my "add on" cancer bank coverage.

They are very dishonest about the need for cancelling these "add ons" seperately from the standard coverage. They said they sent a letter, which might be true, but it looked like it was junk mail since I receive stacks of BS mail from all sorts of insurance companies especially since becoming a small business owner.

I called them and after weeding through the typical 15 minutes of automated silliness, a low level agent answered. She was courteous but helpless. She turned me onto her manager who was very rude. She told me if I had gotton cancer I wouldnt be complaining because I would have received my money. "I'd be singing another tune" she said. To say the least, my blood was boiling at this point and I probably said some profanities.

I would strongly agree with others who have posted about Cigna on this site. They are out to collect money, they do not have your best interest in mind, they are shady, dishonest, rude, tricky, unclear, and owe me $850.

Before my sign up date with Cigna Dental on 07/01/2016, Cigna Dental customer service informed me by phone there would be no benefit difference between in and out of network orthodontists ($1,500 lifetime benefit) and they didn't mention anything about the maximum allowable charge for out of network providers only. I knew I was given false info months after signing the contractual agreement with my orthodontist on 07/20/2016 and paying the $600 out-of-pocket deposit. Cigna processed the pre-approval document (outlining the benefits they will pay and how much I owe) on 9/21/2016. That's 2 months after me signing the orthodontist agreement!

Under the signed agreement I'm responsible for all charges regardless of what my insurance provider pays. So that leaves me with $623 of unexpected out-of-pocket fees (I cannot afford). Cigna said they will only cover $877 of the $1,500 lifetime benefit (aka maximum allowable charge). Cigna said they can't review the calls prior 07/01/2016 as I wasn't a customer yet. I will not pay for their mistake (giving false/omitted information). I filed an appeal with Cigna Dental Appeals but they refuse to accurately respond to my request due the fact I was given false information. I have receipts of my deposit and signed agreement but Cigna refuses to receive the evidence! They are not BBB accredited and have very bad reviews so I'm not sure how this unethical company still operates!

Cigna Supplemental will not refund the premiums for January and February, 2016 even though I cancelled coverage as of 1-1-2016. They owe me $275,46.

I sent them my request by FAX on 12-21-2015 and provided them proof of replacement coverage. I have written them twice and they promised a refund.
