China Towne Furniture and Mattress Reviews

  • Jan 23, 2017

I was contracted to provide marketing services to Jay Yennock of China Towne Furniture in Syracuse, NY. This was for a last-minute sales event and despite the fact that I was merely the printer and mailer, with very little profit to gain, I took the project to help my long-standing client and friend who actually represented the company which sold my products to China Towne. This was a very tight deadline and te marketing needed out immediately, so I began production despite the fact that I hadn't been paid yet. It is my policy to not print before 50% down is paid or mail before the entire balance. I immediately invoiced Jay Yennock. He did not immediately pay. As time grew very close to absolute deadline, I still had not received cleared funds. Finally, despite my request to use an ACH for quicker deposit into my bank accounts, the client went online, entered their credit card information and paid for the order. Even before the funds cleared my bank, I made the decision to drive from Iowa to Syracuse, NY the day before Thanksgiving to insure that the job was there on time. Of course, it was rushed because it was an enormous order and we had but one day to complete it.

We arrived in Syracuse, my assistant and me, after an 18-hour nonstop drive, delivered the postcards to five different post offices in the Syracuse area and even went to the China Towne store where I met Jay Yennock in person and showed him the postal receipts. (He was already accusing me on not delivering the product.) A few weeks later, I received notice that Jay had claimed fraud with his credit card company and the ONLY resolution I could provide was a signed credit card receipt. This wasn't even possible because Morgan Yennock, Jay's daughter, personally went onto the Intuit website and entered her CC information. I never handled their credit card. I never knew their number. In essense, the Yennock's stole the entire mailing from me. They committed fraud, in my opinion, by claiming my fraud. I have receipts for everything and provided these to the credit card processing company. MERCHANTS TO CHINA TOWNE FURNITURE BEWARE! Even if you've been paid in cash, this man will find a way to get it back. It seems obvious to me that the methods he's used to build such a big store have been less than honorable and in my case, certainly NOT LEGAL. CUSTOMERS BEWARE: a thief is a thief. Buy at your own risk!
