I bought a flight ticket for March 14 from Cheaptickets.com on March 13th knowing that if my plans change there's an option to cancel the flight for24 hours for free(online buttonon or by the phone through an agent). Trying to get home before borders are closed because of COVID19.

But a few hours laterI found out that borders are closed and whoever comes will be quaranteen for 14 days. And then my mom (she lives in Ukraine) persuaded me that she will take all cautions do not get sick. So I decided to cancel the ticket. Cause I recieved a new job. So I went online but instead the button there was a form, acter filling which a notice appear call the agent to make the process faster... I spent 13 hours on the phone -nobody answered from cancelation department.

3 times reached "shopping and new bookings department" heard laughing at me on the background. Tried to chat with assistance bot -nothing. Inspite that my flight was next 72 hours nobody responded.I've lost $1500 CAD . And didn't use flight. What is faster to push online button. But Cheaptickets made this button unavailable and didn't provide any assistance.

13 hours I was trying to reach them. When the call time go to 59:59 the time started all over again. Once 3hours the second time 5 hours without hanging up. And I think I wull be charged by the phone company for another $300 cad. I more than sure Cheaptickets decided to make a money and cheated consumers

I purchased two tickets for my parent to travel one month in advance and found it necessary to change my parent's travel date so that other family member could be available to assist. I purchased travel protection at the same time the tickets were purchased. I notified cheap tickets and explained that I needed to change the tickets to a later travel date. The customer service rep, "Louie" informed me that the ticket was "economy, non refundable, non changeable, and non transferable". I informed her that I purchased travel protection. She tells me that I must contact the Travel Guard (travel protection component) "and ask them if I can get a refund".

I informed her that this should not be necessary because I purchased it through them (cheaptickets) and that they should also know the products they are selling. I also informed her that the entire purpose of travel protection is to be able to make changes should unforseen issues arise. She informed me the airline (for one ticket) would charge me $200.00 to change the ticket. She recommended I call the airlines directly. I called United Airlines and informed them of the issue, the rep from the airline stated the same the ticket is non-refunable and non transferable and proceded to charge me for another ticket. Again I explained I had travel protection so therefore I should be able to change the ticket and pay the additonal funds that usually accompany a change, not purchase a entire new ticket. She informed me that the travel protection (Travel Guard) was "Only for 24 hours after purchasing the ticket and that this time had passed" REALLY?!! Who purchases travel protection for one day? There was no written policy, instruction ect.... that said any of this.

Cheap tickets and the fake travel protection company (Travel Guard) should all be part of a class action law suite. Cheaptickes at one time was very good but know went totally down the drean.

I booked a trip through Cheaptickets.com, in September 2016. It included airfare for two, 2 nights hotel stay, and a rental car. On the way to the airport, Delta called and my initial flight had been cancelled. I pulled over and called Delta, and they said they would be unable to find me a way into my final destination that day, or even the next day. Delta cancelled the flight, as they had mechanical issues with the plane.

I called and cancelled the hotels directly. The airline cancelled the flight through cheaptickets.com. I cancelled the car rental through cheaptickets.com. Not only that, but I was heartbroken as we had saved for this trip, had taken time off of work, etc. It was a nightmare.

But the nightmare didn't end with the cancelled trip. I called cheaptickets.com and they said the whole thingis non-refundable, except the car rental. They refunded me that. The airline tickets, the 2 nights hotel stay (we had also booked an AIRNB house that wouldn't refund our money), all non refundable.

It is against the Department of Transportation laws to not issue a refund when an airline cancels a flight. I had no choice about the hotel stays, which were to be the night I landed and the night before I left out on an early return flight coming back.

I called Delta and they were apologetic, rebooked the flights for free. The hotel stays - all lost money. Plus the AIRNB house rental sat empty and I received no refund on that.

So Delta rebooked the flights for free - but again I am paying for new places to stay for each and every night I am staying on my trip. Lost 5 nights, buying 5 more nights.

I will never use Cheaptickets.com again. They rip you off, keep your money, and laugh in your face. Even when the airline cancels your flights.

I booked a flight with service from FRA to ORD and back for 17 May 2016 and 3 June 2016. Unfortauntely, I had a severe medical emergency and was rushed to the hospital. Since I was unable to fly due to health reasons my husband and I were unable to fly on the 17th. So, I contacted Cheap Tickets to ask for a refund due to the health reasons and they told me that Air Berlin had to process a refund. So, I contacted Air Berlin who told my ticket was non-refundable. I was only seeking a partial refund for the taxes paid on both flights since I was unable to take them. The Airline told me that they could do that but that cheap tickets had to process the refund. I had to call cheap tickets and they refused to give me all the flight taxes back without a clear explanation of why. They only allowed a partial tax refund on the flight and werent concerned about my health reasons at all! I had to call both the airlines and cheap tickets back three times! I spent over two hours in total waiting on hold for the cheap tickets representative to come back on the phone. Once I waited for a half hour and the hung up on me. So at any rate, I not only lost most of my flight monies, I also lost more money waiting on hold for the calls to their customer service line.. I tried to resolve this by email but they refused of course, so I wouldnt have any proof of their shady business practices in writing!! I am a medically retired combat veteran and I dont have the money to call and fight with them over a partial completed tax refund for the amount of my flights. I find this unacceptable that I had to call back and forth between the airlines and cheap tickets and waste money on 3 or 4 calls and over two hours for a simple partial refund! I will never use their service again for international flights but I want to make a complaint because someone needs to look into this! I suspect that they purposely put me on hold for so long hoping that I would hang up and forget about getting the money back.

I attempted to receive afull refund of the taxes I paid on the two tickets which was a total of $478 per person instead of receiving a pitiful amount of $146.07 per ticket back. In addition, I am requested payment for the amount of money I had to wait on hold with my phone line as well as compensation for the 2 to 3 hours I had to Hold from their customer service line.I presented this to the better buisness bureau and cheaptickets dragged it out and even gave me a joke refund of $14.86 since they thought it would be funny. I even submitted written documentation from the company stating I would receive at least the $146.07 per two tickets back. Despite my written proof, they are still refusing to give me the amount promised. They have done this to alot of people and they don't have a conscience about taking money from a disabled combat veteran or anyone else. These people think this is a joke and that they can treat their customers like garbage and never run out of customer s or money! Shame on cheaptickets.

I booked a flight to Japan to repay my friend for a debt I owe her. Cheaptickets emailed me to inform me that I had to call them to "reconfirm" my booking. After contacting cheaptickets and verifying that all was ok, my friend went to planning her trip. Just a few days ago I checked the confirmation link just to get the flight number for my friend and there was a notification saying "Sorry your trip didn't work out, we know these things happen. We're happy to help you rebook when you are ready", as if I had cancelled the reservation myself! I had my friend call them to find out what the deal was (since she was the person flying). When someone finally answered (after her attempting to call for a long time) they sent her from department to department...and each department gave her a different story.

One person told her that it would just take 3-7 business days to get the money back. Another person said that the bank probably froze the money in my account and that I'd have to deal directly with the bank (and I am currently having issues with the bank since I live abroad and must call the English help line for which they have very few reps and it only operates during working hours, so I must take time out of my work day to do this, making it even more difficult!). Cheaptickets should have gotten it right in the first place. It did not say that the flight had been cancelled, they just randomly decided to cancel the reservation!

This is unacceptable. Working people do not have time to deal with these kinds of ridiculous mistakes. Their customer service department was rude to my friend, they've greatly inconvenienced me, and they are causing me to spend even more money than I originally owed my friend because I have to wait for the problem of the refund to be solved before booking another flight. I am absolutely livid. That plane ticket was over $800, and now I have no idea where my money is. I will *never* use their terrible service ever again and I'd advise everyone else to avoid them, unless you'd like to potentially have your money stolen or have your reservation cancelled for no reason.

I ordered a ticket for my girlfriend from los Angelos to Ft.lauderdale. The web site didnt work so i had to call live. I was answered in the Philipines they have no American operators. It took 2 hours and three different operators to purchase a ticket. One was so stupid she could not even enter a credit card #. The price was ok 291 one way on 24 hrs notice. They sent me an e-mail the next day saying if I booked a hotel in Ft. Lauderdale by april10th it would be half price. I booked 1 on april 6th they charged full price they booked me a non- refundable for cancellation and never told me there was a 250 dollar deposit required. When I called to cancel only 3 hrs. later they told me the hotels policy was to run my card thru with in 72 hrs. no cancellations accepted. I then called the Hotel they said they would be glad to cancel and not charge me but since I booked thru cheap tickets I had to deal with them. They said it was Cheap tickets policy to bill me not the hotels. They jerked me around again for about 90 minutes 2 different filipinos reading from Que cards. I finally hung up drove to my bank canceled the card and was given a new one right there. If you have any sense dont get involved with this liars and cheats, that dont even hire American workers.
