CBS Interactive, Inc. Reviews

My son contacted CBS Interactive to renew our subscription with this company on CBS All Access through two $25.00 gift cards that I purchased. The problem is that the subscription is $59.99. When he called the company on October 8, 2019, he was told that he cannot use his debit card on file to make a ten dollar payment but they would charge an additional $59.99 on top o f the two gift cards that were submitted for $50.00 which totalls $109.99 for a year subscription.

This is fraud and not as advertised on line. I decided to contact CBS Interactive and spoke with a representative named JP at 10:11pm who was rude, ignored me, chastised me, spoke over me, pretended that he could not hear me and kept typing lies into his computer while I was speaking that I was breaking up on a home phone.

Each time I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was ignored. Eventually the call was disconnected and I found out that he canceled my account. I called back again and was on hold for another hour until someone picked up the phone. So let's recap, my son was on hold for over an hour, I was on hold for an hour to speak to rude JP, then I had to call again and hold on for another hour.

When I finally spoke to Denise - Supervisor, she tried to offer me two months of free service for the blatent abuse that my son and I tolerated from her subordinates, yet the phone call is monitored for quality assurance, Yeah Right!

I was not interested and asked for my money back. I'm not sure that I will receive it because gift cards amounts are non-refundable according to Denise. Buy another channel from a reputable company and not CBS! Buyer beware.

I signed up for CBS All Access streaming service on November 16th 2017. Because I had an account a year prior I was not given a free week but that was OK. I was charged on 11/16 for $5.99. Then they attempted to charge me AGAIN on 11/16, 11/17, 11/21 and 11/23 all for $5.99 each. I didn't catch this right away as this is a small account that I don't keep a lot of money in. I was successfully charged $5.99 on 11/24. My subscription would have been due to renew on 12/16, which it did for $5.99. They then again attempted to charge me on 12/16, and 12/18 ( even though I canceled before that). When I contacted customer service the first time they told me that don't issue refunds but that they could give me a free month on my account. I declined, and asked again that the extra charges that went through be refunded. I was contacted on 12/28 that they were closing the case since their system shows me only being charged initially on 11/16 - despite the fact that I have provided bank statements and reference numbers to the contrary. They informed me there was nothing they could do for me.

This website has no account deletion option on their website, so once you sign up with them you're stuck and they continue to have access to whatever information is on your profile. If I want to delete my account I should have that option. I consider this some sort of scam or trap.
