Cardinal Moving Systems Reviews

Worst movers ever.

They shipped my car door to door from Honolulu to California. Oh wait they screwed up and left the car in los angeles. FOR ONE MONTH while I accrue a daily fine (for OVER ONE MONTH).

Now I'm expected to reschedule work so that I can rent a car, drive it more than 5 hours south to LA to pick up my car, pay a $500 fine and drive my vehicle back home.

The agent said that to recover ANY money I'll have to sue them. They won't give names over the phone making a lawsuit more difficult. Research reveals LIOR OREN as the owner and RYAN ALEXANDER as the agent who dropped the ball entirely on this move resulting in a near $800 loss and countless hours of stress and frustration.

Ryan continuously answers the phone "Ryan" to ensure that he remains elusive.

Cardinal contacted my husband and told him that I had chose them to move us to Hawaii. They got our name because I was searching the web for rate to move. I hadn't choose them but because of that lie my husband put down a large non refundable deposit with them.

They gave us a quote that we excepted. When the came to pick up our stuff they told us it was going to be a little bit more that we had more than they thought we did. They needed to call it in and would let know what the total was. They loaded the truck and then told us it was three times what they had quoted us. They knew they had us because everything was already on the truck.

They told us everything would be in Hawaii Feb. 2. We called them on Feb 5th to find out where our items where and they told us that they had until March 5th according to the small date they wrote on the bottom of the contract. We called again on March 7th to find out where everything is and they said it was on a ship making its way over to us. I reminded them that according to the contract it had to be there by March 5th I told them I wanted a discount for being late. I was told that if I didn't pay the full remaining balance they wouldn't leave any of my belongings. Everything finally came on March 10th.

When they started to take items off the truck, every plastic crate was broken, every box was torn and rip up. My table that had been wrap really well had been un-wrapped and scratched. A piece of wood was dented out of the corner. This was a new table worth $4,500 until they got a hold of it. My auto garbage can was missing pieces from the cover. My rainbow vacuum was missing pieces. All of Pampered Chef baking stones were broken. All of my collectable angels were broken. Every box that said fagile look like they threw them around as hard as they could and did as must damage to as possible.

I filed a claim for a little over $9,000 for all the damage they did. They only offered me $149. I refused to except that. They refused to return my calls or emails after that. Then they close the claim saying that I wasn't interested in the claim anymore. Really is that how you run a business???

Do no use this moving company. They do nothing but rip you off and destroy everything. I ordered a truck from Madsen at a later date to move additional items to Hawaii. I paid $10,000.00 less. I moved a whole truck full of items not just half like I did with Cardinal. I didn't have one thing break and it took 4 days not 2 months.

They would only take cash or cashier check so you can't protect yourself in a dispute like you can if you use a credit card. They think of everything to keep you from getting any of your money back.

Cardinal Moving Systems charged me double than they quoted me for a move from New York City to Hawaii.

Their agent never came to assess the property that needed to be moved, although they claimed they have an office in the New York area.

The salesman from Cardinal Moving Systems gave me an assessment over the phone and told me it will cost me $2664.35 total. That was a lie.

On the day of the move, after the moving crew packed everything in the truck, and locked it, the foreman told me I was over the quote and overcharged me for a total of $5650.85

That was $3000 more than quoted and I had to pay, since the truck was packed and locked. Typical moving scam, as I later read on moving.com. The fine print contract stipulates that every extra cubic feet will be charged $10.

After I paid in full, the moving company grossly mishandled my property and destroyed over 26 items to include Vintage Herodyne Radio, Vintage Gossip Bench, chairs which the moving workers pilled one on top of each other and then wrapped, Tiffany lamp, armoire, an antique Tal Tree Coat rack hanger whose iron hooks were broken in half, crystal glasses, Lennox Abigail dinner plates, antique Gingerbread Wall clocks, not to mention even an antique Hamilton pocket watch that was wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in a cigar box.

The boxes were all severely damaged and were proof of how badly my property was mishandled. On top of the quote scam, the moving company added at least $3000 in property damage.

I filled an extensive claim in November 2015 and only in June 2016 I received a settlement letter after many inquiries. It was in the amount of $150.60. After all this company has done wrong, now they added insult to injury and offered me $150.60 and a release form to release them from all future claims, law suits, complaints or bad reviews. They can keep their ridiculous settlement and I keep my right to post reviews and complaints to any and all websites or Government Agencies.

My advice, STAY AWAY ! Look for a reputable company, that has an office where you live.

Cardinal Moving Systems needs to be shut down and all their agents fined for misleading customers.
