They do not provide a legit service. This company mask their website to make you think that they are the DMV of your state and that you are renewing your car registration on-line. You are actually purchasing a guide book that they sell on how to register your vehicle. My elderly mother did not realize that this was not the DMV website and left it immediately. Even though I never completed any kind of purchase, they charged my credit card anyway for $12.71 plus a handling fee of $1.99. When she received an email from them thanking her for the purchase, she immediately contacted them and they agreed to remove part of the charge. However, they still refused to refund the $1.99 handling charge. I have turned it over to my credit card issuer. STAY AWAY. Read the fine print. You may think that you are in the DMV website but you are not. They are very clever and they are CHEATs, LIARS and SCAMMERS. Beware!

Total Scam

Just got scammed by the creeps. I knew as soon as I clicked continue and the site did not have my vehicle info to verify. They did however get my credit card number, birthdate, and cell number. They then charged me 3.99 with another charge of 19.00 to added later. I called them in less than 10 minutes after figuring it out. first the trained scammer told me that they had a 100% money back policy. I said great, cancel it all. He then said he was unable to cancel the 3.99 because it was already processed. I called BS on this jerkoff and told him I was going to the BBB as well as filing a claim with the city he did business in. He relented and said he will make an exception in this case and stop all transactions. After going online and looking up the parent company, Eagle Media, I found no record. I am going to follow up on this and see if we cant put these bastards out of business. If these jerks scam you then do something, don't let them get away with it.

Scam!

If you contact your credit card company and dispute the charges, you are not responsible for the payment. Also, future charges by this company can be blocked.

Very annoying to be taken in by such an obvious grift.

As I was attempting to renew my car registration online, I realized (too late) that the site I had just entered my credit card information on, was not a valid vehicle registration site, but it was a site that would send a pdf guide of "how to register your vehicle, etc.", for $19.99 instead.

As soon as I realized this I called the number listed to cancel whatever it was I apparently just ordered. The phone line's crackling made it hard to even hear anything and the option for "all other inquiries" press "0" was invalid; should have been a red flag right there...

Upon pressing some other number and actually contacting a representative, I informed her that I had made a mistake and wanted to cancel whatever guide it was that I ordered. She then tried to keep my order by pulling in some other offer that included $100 in gas... but I insisted I did not want to be billed for "anything".

When I said I wanted to cancel everything she said I would still be charged $2.99 for processing for some BS, and when I complained how their site was misrepresenting people, she changed the subject asking me to see if I recieved their cancellation e-mail now; and clarified that their site states (albeit in small pring) that they are not affilitated with any state agencies. And their "e-mail" had no company information on it at all, which was another red flag??

I'm now contacting my credit card company.

My parents were deceived by this website. They are not the most technologically savvy people, and the way this site is set up, it is very easy for older persons to believe they are going to be able to renew their registration at the site.

The design is the site is set up to mask the reality as much as possible without (presumably) being outright illegal. Notices of the fact that it is not a site where you can renew car registration or other such functions is put in exceedingly small text, or text that is just slightly different color from the background, etc...

It does explicitly say it cannot do such things, and is non-governmental, but it does it in the least useful way, and in a way that paticularly would take advantage of the older population.

Deceptive, misleading web design seemingly meant to take advantage of the old/non-technologically savvy.
