The website appears at the top of the search along with the official DMV website and poses as an official place to renew your vehicle registration online. The disclaimer does not immediately pop up to let you know this, and the site takes you through the process of registering your credit card before you find out what you've actually signed up for. Basically it is just an information website explaining to you how to register your vehicle. Why would someone even need a service like this? Furthermore, you don't even know how much you've been charged unless you call the number and try to get a refund. And then they will refund only a partial amount. If someone is in a hurry and not reading all the fine print along the way, it can easily happen to them.

Toatl Ripoff For Florida Car Registation!

Being home bound due to a broken hip and shoulder I went online to the Florida DMV to renew. At their site is was directed to these scam artist who billed me first for $2.99 the an additional $19.99 2 days latter! Neither did they renew my tags but they provided no services other than charge my card. Now I must cancel my credit card and contest charges I will still have to go to the DMV for renewal and be charged an additional amount for expired tags!!

Fuck you assholes as you have really pissed off a retired US Navy Chief who is 100% disabled due to combat injuries in Afghanistan!

Went to MVD website in NM to renew my car registration and their domain jumped in all sneaky, don't notice you are not on MVD website anymore. Put in my cc number and the next screen stated to download their software for "Car registration advisors"

Could not go back to remove my information. Did not try to download anything. Who needs advice on how to register your car??

Was hoping since I did not download anything it wouldn't take, but it did. Two charges, one for $19.99 and the other for $2.99 on my statement.

What a rip-off! I am embarrassed that I did not pay enough attention, I was in a hurry. But they slide in like the snakes they are. BEWARE!

Going to contact my cc company right now. This sucks. Theives. The domain is listed, but that is all they are is a domain.

Can't anything be done to eradicate these creeps?

Fake website

Scam website. My browser took me here when renewing New Mexico auto registration. Website is same as legit one, but ends in com rather than gov. They asked if I wanted to renew by credit card and had a form asking for number. There was no indication it was a fake site till cc info entered and no way to delete it. I called the 800 number after seeing a 2.99 charge on my card and got a voicemail. I left a message that they were not authorized to charge my account. I notified my bank fraud dept.

Attempting to renew auto registration, i was diverted from my intended website.

I have contacted these frauds by phone 866-721-7460, registering my displeasure for their deceptive practices - and have contacted my credit card company.

Isn't there a special place in hell for these scumbags??

I received a license plate renewal notice from my state's dept. Of revenue. The renewal notice gives you their state website to renew online. While typing information through the state website you are automatically directed to the carregistrationadvisors.Org website thinking you are typing in all of the information to renew your license online. Not so. Instead you are giving this scam company $23.98 for some type of downloadable guide. $19.99 for the guide, $3.99 for a processing fee. Who needs a downloadable guide for $24.00. I called them immediately and the will give $19.99 back but not $3.99 for the processing fee.

ASS HOLES

Now that I have your attention with my review title name, let me first apologize by labeling it that way. However it couldn't be more true. When renewing my registration in TN it automatically flipped me to this site without even realizing. My bad for not paying attention, however it happened so fast and looked so official that I didn't notice until it was to late. Had to cancel my CC and the bastards still got $2.99 from me.
