I returned part day after I recieved it as it was defective. They only refunded half stating a reprogrmming and restocking fee.PCM was not programedor in working order!!!

Bought a rebuilt computer from this company and recieved a defective one. Reported this to the company almost a month ago and had one email from them but nothing got resloved so far.

I purchased a PCM - hasn't worked with 2 they have sent out. I have returned both, cannot get refund and no return calls or emails in months. I purchased PCM (computer) for my 2006 Jeep Commander on 12/5/18, order #78700, for $308.95, shipped on 12/14/18. It did not work, and after repeated calls and emails to ask how to handle it, they advised me to return it, which I did in Feb. 2019.

They sent a new one out in May 2019, which did not work out either. I repeatedly contact them by phone and email about how to handle problem. I have paid for a PCM, returned both of the non working PCM's to them, and cannot get a refund of my money or a replacement. Since this has drug on so long, I had to buy another PCM to get my car back on the road. Basically this has been going on for almost 2 years and they refuse to call me or reply to emails, which I have sent many.

In October 2019 they stated they were still waiting for a replacement part to come in for me. This is months since I have returned the second one, and then the last time they have returned a message to me was in December 2019 asking me to call them, which I did. Everytime I speak with them, it's always more and more excuses as to why I don't have it. How long do they think you can go without having a part you need to be able to start and drive your car? The new PCM that I purchased cost me $412.49 from Flagship One, because I could no longer wait to get my car back on the road. Now, I just need a refund for $308.95.

What a HUGE mistake it was buying anything from them! I wish I had seen these reviews sooner!!!

12-04-2019 1800 hrs Hawaii time sent message to cancel order thru their website.

12-5-2019 0830 - no response back

12-5-2019 0900 Hawaii time called and spoke with Celina (CarComputer Exchange) and requested cancelation of order. She said she would cancel it and refund should be received in 7 to 10 days. Asked her if she could send me an email confirming the cancellation, she said, "OK".

12-5-2019 0930 Hawaii time received email confirming cancellation of order.

12-18-2019 0850 Hawaii time called to find out why i haven't received my refund yet and was told by a male at carcomputer exchange that i need to email them to find out what is happening with my refund.

12-18-2019 0900 sent email to company about not receiving my refund.

12-20-2019 - Response fror CarComputer Exchange to BBB

"Hi we attempted to refund back to your card and it was declined. We could send your refund by paypal. What is your paypal email?"

12-20-2019 0935 spoke to Missy from HTelFCU, confirmed with her that no transactions were made by CCE to refund money back into my account.

1-2-2020 - still haven't received my refund.

2/5/19 purchased computer from car computer exchange $388.95 , received ecm it was painted back no calibration codes visible, installed ecm and it did not work correctly. I called computer exchange and was told to return it for repair or refund, I chose refund. It's now 4/2/19 after 7 + phone calls to them and being told something different each time by the same girl, who by the way gave different name each time, told me this AM that upper management handles refunds and she can't do anything about it, I asked for transfer to management and she hung up on me.

I have been doing a lot of background checking on Imperial auto and car computer exchange, I found numerous complaints about them and how they rip people off on return of defective computers. This place needs to get shut down. The only ones with access to really program ecm's are the dealers.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE A RIP OFF!!

I would like to find out if any law suits filed against these guys.

I am seeking a full refund of the original purchase price and an apology for the rude customer service, never allowed to speak with the manager of the company and being lied to about a remedy to the problem.

This is hands down the worst company I have ever done business with and only hope my experience will help someone else from being swindled out of their hard-earned money.

I paid for a 2001 Dodge Ram PCM for $569.68.

That PCM did not work so sent it back to the company the next day.

The website is very deceptive with the wording. "If it doesn't work, send it back for a refund" and “We stand behind our product with a money back guarantee” not referencing the return page where hundreds of dollars are charged to the unsuspecting customer.

I had a glimmer of hope for the company when I spoke to Brian, a programmer for the company, and he wanted to help. He offered to send me another PCM if I paid back the initial refund of $158.95. (recorded phone call) I promptly paid the refund back via PayPal and I waited 2 weeks after several requests for a status update via Email to [email protected] with no response.

I called to get an update on the PCM and had the unfortunate experience of speaking to the very rude "customer service" woman. I was told that I would need to send my original truck PCM to the company which is clearly not what Brian and I had discussed. This also did not make sense because I had paid for a PCM already so one should have been sent out just as the first one was. She did not understand what I was talking about and HUNG UP on me! (recorded phone call)

After Emailing the company at [email protected] several times, 12/17/18, I was refunded $158.95 out of $569.68. I feel like I paid to be deceived, lied to, and swindled out of $410.73.

Again, this is hands down the worst company I have ever done business with and only hope my experience will help someone else from being swindled out of their hard-earned money.

I ordered a computer from Car Computer Exchange for my 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser about 2 weeks before I had a trip planned to the Oregon coasrt with my daughter during her spring break this spring. I wanted to make sure the car would make it. It has a code that indicates the computer needs to be replaced. It still runs on the old one but intermittantly runs porrly.

Car Computer Exchange's website says they ship within 48 hours of your order so I thought it was reasonable that a 2 week lead time was realistic. I enetered all the information they requested incoluding the VIN and mileage into their site when I ordered. They took the money out right away but did not start the order. I called and they said they needed my VIN and mileage before they could proceed. I told them I had put it in their system before, but I gave it to the lady again so they would get it coming. A few days later I called agin to check the status and they said they needed the VIN and mileage before they could start! Again I told them I have given it to them twice before and I took pictures of the VIN tag and the odometer and sent it to them by Email and told them verbally aghin. Now Spring break is looming and if they dont ship it soon I will not get it in time.

Friday I call them asking where the computer is that I had ordered 2 weeks earlier and now spring break has started and the clock is ticking. The lady says with any luck it will ship in time for the package to be picked up by the post man by 3pm, if not it would be shipped Monday arriving to me by Wednesday or Thursday of the following week wich of course is most of the spring braek gone. I called on Monday and the said the computer would not communicate on Friday so they started over and the new on=e should ship by the end of the week!

Now spring break is over! We missed the planned trip because thes guys cant ship a working computer within 3 weeks! the advertised 48 hours ship time apparently is not realistic!

So at some point they actually did ship a computer to me arriving well after spring break is over. I drove the car to a friends housr to do the install. When I installed it it would not start the car at first. It did finally start but ran poorly and died repeatedly. I had it running so I drove it araound the neighborhood and it died and wouldnt start, so i was left walking back to get the old computer which the car says is bad, and put it in the car and drove it back. It is still running on that old cpomputer.

I called and told them and they said to send it back. At this point I am completely disollusioned with Car Computer Exchange. I said hey just refund me and I will do somethingf else. their service is terrible! when I did send it back they refunded me less than half of my $220 which ncluded shipping of $20. I didnt expect to get that back but I didnt expect also to get only a $98 refund! What a joke! Their "customer service" lady is rude and tells me that's just the way it is. there is a $50 programming fee and a 25% restocking fee so in essance thats just too bad sir! I have to pay them to do programming that doesnt work and pay them to restock a bad computerr presumably will be sold to some other porr sap.

They gave me an Email to send a complaint to the billing drepartmenty whick i did and received a response more than a month later saing sorry for the long delay in responding but the fees are our policy and thats just the way it is!

This company is terrible and I would reccommend running not walikg but running away from them if you want to get a fai deal.

Do not purchase anything from this company. They totally misrepresent their product, then when you return it, they take weeks to send the refund( after calling them repeatedly). The refund is for half of what you pay, so that is how they make their money. Basically they sell you a worthless part, take it back and refund you half of what you pay plus the cost of shipping.

I have ordered a car computer from this company for my 1994 Chrysler Sebring convertible. They sent me the 1 st one and it was the wrong one. I sent it back and they sent me a 2 nd one. Wrong one again. Again I sent it back with pictures of the correct one enclosed. Again I received a 3 rd computer and you guessed it, wrong one again. I sent it back and asked for a full refund. They said no problem. I got the refund today and it was for less than half of what I paid for the computer. They replied something about restocking fees and such. Why should I have to pay these fees when it was not my fault that they kept sending me the totally wrong computer. DO NOT BUY from this company.
