In September 2023 I treated my son and his GF to a Sunday Rangers/Astros game. On Sat I parked on the 7th floor as instructed and registered my vehicle as instructed - we received an email confirmation. The next morning, we walked to my car and I see it's booted. We ended up late to the game. Came back after the game and I cut the boot off and left it in the parking structure with a personal note. Got a nasty letter about 6 weeks later from a law firm. Received the same four pages again about two weeks later. I sent the law firm a letter and have not heard back from anyone for 8 weeks.
I went through all available reviews for Capital Towing and the law firm they used Bourland, Wall, & Wenzel, P.C. Mr. Graigory Fancher was the BAR lawyer who contacted me. Capital Towing has a 1 star rating. Only found one 5 star rating, but all the rest were 1 stars - no 2, 3, or 4 star ratings.
A lot of angry folks secondary to predatory towing. Just like me, even if you do as directed they will tow or boot you. The law firm has an anemic 3.7 star rating.
Capital Towing seems to typically play these games on Friday and Saturday nights. No one to contact at their office and typically the apartment staff are off. The only way to get your vehicle unbooted is to scan a code and give them your credit card.
I was willing to go back to Dallas just to file a small claims case against them if needed.
This company impounded my 2015 Honda Civic Lx illegally off of a family members property. It’s a mobile home park and there are no signs or warnings anywhere in the park notifying of no parking zones. There was no warning on my car previous to the illegal Towing of my vehicle.
On November 6 2017.my car was towed from my apartment...it said it was in unauthorized parking.when I live here and have a valid sticker on it.i had to pay 337.50 to get it out.i was even late on my rent .because of there actions.please help.
My car was towed 14 minutes after I arrived at Heather village apartments I registered it at 1:21 and they claim they picked it up at 1:07 how is that right or legal I can't visit a loved one without paying $300 wtf...
Every week I'm here visiting a friend and never had a problem parking in the visitors parking wish is painted on each parking spot cam miss it however on April 7 2016 time 9:48 pm as I was leaving my car wasnt here so I can track were my car was and it was in motions and so we follow were my car was going and it was at towing company it gives me the address and phone number anyway we get there adk about my car I track it to here and I need to no way it was Tow when I was park in the visitors parking couldn't give a real reason is to why it was told .
