I made the mistake of ordering a Brinks Prepaid MasterCard. I have used the card for two days now and this is what has happened thus far: I noticed a debit on the account for $29.95 to OurTime.com. I called 'customer service' to let them know I didn't make this charge. The rep (unfortunately I didn't get her name because I didn't know this was going to become a huge mess and hassle). At the time I had a balance of approximately $350 in the account (money that was to go towards my rent which is due no later than the 3rd of each month). The next thing I know , the rep has closed my account! I have no way to access the $350! She tells me, 'I have closed your account' and I ask her why she closed it over a $30 charge and how was I to get my $350??? She said that it's Brinks policy to close an account even though the customer will no longer have access to their money!! Is this legal? A customer calls about a $30 dispute and the next thing I know I'm now out $350??? Of course, I run to the closest ATM to get my money so I can pay rent but the card was declined! I call Brinks back, demand to speak to a supervisor and get put on hold for 34 minutes. I call a second time, and get the run around a second time. My second call to Brinks has now lasted 27 minutes and I'm still waiting. I've worked in a call center before, I know the games companies play on their customers. Put the irate customer on hold indefinitely because they will eventually get tired of waiting and hang-up. I want and need MY money.

Money is received 5 days eariler but never put on the card on the time as schedule at 11:30 in the morning, That card users are paying for to have monies to be receive, payments are put on whenever company wants to put monies on card and customers are paying to receive there money on their debit card at 11:30 and company is also charging customers to take their monies off their card.

If company can not keep the promise to serve their customers than I request that Brinks master debit card be turn in to counsel their card and business this is not right by customers who pay for this card service I feel I have been getting ripped off from Brinks debit card for services they can not keep.

I have been with brinks for 8yrs. and I have been having problems receiving my monies at a certain time and I have been paying for this services and I feel I have been gettting ripped off. I would like to have this company investigatied and would like to know why charge customers charges if their Social Security can not be put on their card at a certain time. they can not keep check out

Rip u off

What everyone, says here is so true about brinks prepaid card, with no exaggeration. They Will find a way and give you the run around. They try and keep your money as long as they can. You can call and sent to risk management, I've waited 1 /2 hour to and hour, only to be lied too, over and over again. They will close your account and hold your money but the f-----up part about it you may not get your money back. They don't care if you gave to pay rent, or sick. I've gone through it all with them. The concerns or I should say tragedies, you are hearing are all true. I'm going through it now. I'm going to write to the federal reserve and find out if something legally can be done to them

I was robbed not to long ago of very important items including my brinks debit card. My Federal tax return was linked for direct deposit with this account. Unfortunately when my refund came in somebody used my card over and over to withdraw almost all my money. I spoke to the people of brinks and was told that my money would be credited back after 10 days if I did not hear back from them, needless to say it never got credited.

I called a couple of times more and was told to wait until the end of the month. I am a victim of theft and yet I am being treated unfairly by a card company that guaranteed my money would be returned. Almost 1500 was stolen from me and I am being given the run around by customer service agents that are not even in the same continent. My balance is now -102.69 because I can't Po at my overdrafts. I have also lost my apartment due to not being able to pay. It is unfair to be treated like this especially after I worked but off for that money.

On 8/1/17 I had my direct deposit from Social Security Disability put on one of Brink's debit mastercards. The money was deposited with no problems, $1216.00.

At the time I was under hospice care and on numerous pain meds and separated from my husband. I changed my password several times and and didn't write it down so I forgot and kept changing my password.

Brinks decided this was fraudulent activity and reported ny card as stolen and closed the account with my money still in the account. On 8/21/17 supposedly they returned the money to the Treasury Department who then returned it to SSD.

They have also told me they sent it back to Treasury on 9/14/17 and gave me a check number and an amount of 1209.38. They withheld 50 cents for each balance inquiry made.

This doesn't stop there though. As of today, 10/27/17, I still don't have my money. The Treasury Dept says they have received it, but SS says they haven't and I cannot talk to the Treasury and say they can't even talk to them. FYI all you have to do is Google for the number.

I have talked to the main office of SS in Montgomery or Birningham, AL and two local offices and even went in one local office and I get a different answer from each office on the same day. Today I was told to call a different office aa there was nothing they could do.

Still don't have my money.

Don't ever use a Brink's card which is also in the same bank as Netspend cards. I am 64 years old with Parkinson's disease for 14 years and I have been ripped off not only by Brink's but our government also. Be aware!!

My younger sister set up this account without my mother's knowledge, and started her government payments going to this account, then started using it as her personal spending account. When I took over my mother's affairs, I cancelled the card, had it reissued, and sent them my LEGAL durable power of attorney, at their request. AAlmost immediately they replied that they needed a paper copy of the POA. I sent it to them. fter taking nearly two weeks to replace the card, and after we finally received it and activated it, within 24 hours they cancelled the card and sent a message saying "there may be a problem with your card" please call this number. Upon receipt of the message, I called them as quickly as possible. They informed me they had the POA, but NOW they needed additional documents - MY social security card and id, as well as a copy of my mother's same documents. I refused. If they needed those items, they would have asked for them up front. In addition, they don't need my ssn, as they are not opening an account for me. So then they said they would have someone from the 'RISK' department call. Waited, waited...no call (big surprise, right?) . Called again...someone would call me in 30 minutes. Waited, waited...one hour, no call. They need ID. Ok, I sent those for my mother. NOT giving them my SSN. That's an invitation to fraud. They said 6 BUSINESS hours to reactivate the card. That was 4 hours ago. I just ccalled again and they don't even show they have received the documents.

Wide spread problem with customers not receiving their direct deposit as scheduled. Their service department only says they are working on the problem. No time given when money will be received.

On 11/04/2016 i noticed an odd charge on my account of $89.99 that said Ultra Ripped Muscle 8883176802 NY and posted on 11/3/16 - I do not know what this is for or who it is but I know I didnt order nor receive anything to do with ripped muscle so i filled out the dispute form as per instructed after contacting brinks and they said it will take till november 21 to investigate so i checked back today and now they say since they never received a letter from me nothing credited and my next update is december 19th? What the? seriously, what is going on here. in the mean time my account has now dropped to - 42.21 and i have redirected my paycheck to a new account with my college.
