BRAVI Reviews

We hired Bravi on April 17th 2017 to renovate three bedrooms and a laundry room on our home. They were to begin work in May, our contract price was $43517, and it was supposed to take them about two months. The last time anyone was out to work on our house was June 22nd. We had paid them $38930 at that point and estimate that they had only done about half the work. They were supposed to be out again June 26th to finish the work and no showed. We called Jonathan and he informed us that they had an emergency to deal with on another job site, and they would be out later in the week. For the next month we called several times a week trying to figure out when people would be out, and were either met with a voicemail or empty promises that they would be out the next day, along with every excuse under the sun. (my personal favorite “I lost my phone, and my computer broke so I couldn’t check my emails”) Jonathan was also supposed to supply us with pictures and samples of materials that we had already paid for that were supposed to be in his warehouse during this time, but never did.

On July 24th we spent all day calling Jonathan and the Bravi office trying to get a hold of someone to request our money refunded for the work and materials we hadn’t received from them. We estimate that Bravi owes us $19700 in incomplete labor and materials that we prepaid for. On Tuesday we send them a certified letter detailing why we were requesting a refund. It also included call logs, a list of when people were supposed to be out to work but no showed, and pictures of all the uncompleted work. They refused to sign for the letter, and Jonathan called us asking to meet. We met Friday July 28th at our home, where Jonathan informed us that he had never actually purchased the materials for our job and had spent all our money on a different job that had gone south. He said he didn’t have any money left to finish our job, but if we wrote a check for the doors and windows he would have his guys install them.

We told him after all the deception we weren’t going to pay them any more money, and we didn’t want them working on our house anymore. We told Jonathan that he had until Friday August 4th, to refund us the money Bravi owes us or give us a plan to pay us back and gave him a breakdown of costs. After calling him Friday August 4th and being unable to get a hold of him it is obvious that Bravi is unwilling to work with us, and has no problem wasting our time. We’re desperate to get our money back and finish this project at this point, since we have a baby due in a week and a half and our house is in shambles. We requested multiple times, via email, text, voicemail, and in person for an itemized breakdown of labor and material costs so that we could more accurately determine how much we are owed, and Bravi has ignored those requests. So as of right now we are estimating that they owe us $19700. If they can come back with their numbers I’m sure we can come to a mutually agreeable amount that they owe us, but so far they won’t.
